A very well maintained tourism property from west bengal tourism.
The rooms are extremely cleaned and well decorated. There were few hooks and crooks in some amenities but that can be easily fixed.
This is the only property to stay in Gadiara, just located beside the banks of Rupnarayan river.
The staffs are extremely helpful and well behaved.
The parks and lawns of the property is not at all maintained and construction work is going on everywhere.
We visited the property in summer and voltage fluctuations are a big problem here. The acs stopped working for this fluctuations. However the manager of the property informed us that they are installing a separate transformer to deal with this issue so my suggestion would be if you are planning to visit the property in summer please ask them if they have finished installing the transformer or not.
Also a new wing is under construction which you can also ask for your next visit.
The place is very nice for one day outing. We have visited on June 29,2023 with family by road. The road condition was good. Gadiara Tourist Guest House offers a delightful location for travelers seeking tranquility and natural beauty. Situated amidst picturesque surroundings, it provides a serene getaway from the bustling city life. However, while the location is commendable, the food served at the guest house is ordinary, lacking the culinary flair that could elevate the overall experience. Nonetheless, the guest house's comfortable accommodations and friendly service compensate for this shortcoming. Visitors can still enjoy a peaceful stay and explore the charming attractions nearby, such as the confluence of the Damodar, Rupnarayan, and Hooghly rivers, making Gadiara Tourist Guest House a worthwhile option for nature enthusiasts and relaxation seekers.
We were here in Feb, 2022, wonderful weekend destination from Kolkata. We selected a Deluxe room on 2nd floor & it was quite nice, spacious with a private Balcony overviewing the Rupnarayan river.
Food cost is bit on a higher side, however, taste, quality is perfect.
My only question to the management is what is the definition of Service Charge on room service which you have made a mandate. Though it's okay, but honestly this is something of out the book to charge.
Overall it's a fun trip with wonderful service, food & with lots of space in surrounding for kids to enjoy
Location wise best resort, service is good. But problem is with food. Not much choice, chappatis are hard, fishes are not fresh. Construction work is going on. The resort is located just beside the river, with best view. Behavior of the staffs are good, they are quite cooperative.
One of the most under rated tourism property of WBTDCL.
1. Location: Awesome. 2. Rooms: Well maintained. Great view of river and confluence from the room. 3. Ambience: Calm and tourist friendly. Compound is decorated with coconut and bettle trees. 4. Food: Quality is good. Price as per government guidelines. Complimentary breakfast is really elaborate. Variation is not much on weekdays. 5. Reception and Staff: Helpful and always available.
It is situated on Hoogly river bank. Rooms are of big size with good washroom and a balcony facing river. Very well furnished. Dinning hall is big and food quality is good. Although there is nothing to see in Gadiara, except the confluence of Hoogly and Rupnarayan river which is beautiful sight. Being Roopmanjari a good place, we stayed there two days and enjoyed.
ALL GOVT PROPERTIES SHOULD BE PROPERLY MAINTAINED. OVER HEAD COST SHOULD BE CURTAILED. GOVT ALL EARLIER PROPERTIES ALL LIKE GOLD MINES. THEY COULD FORESEE. WE ALWAYS PREFER. WE HAD BEEN TO ALMOST ALL TOURIST LODGES. IT WAS AMAZING BENIFITS. RGDS
Property in shambles since Amphan. Pathetic food quality. Thoroughly disappointed. Here you might purchase water mixed cold drinks for hefty price and shall be forced to pay 5% tips in advance
I visited here the Rupnarayan Tourist Lodge. Had eco fish meal. Room was good too. Best and safe place to stay. But then Roop Manjari name was not there! You can go to see Mahisadal Rajbari on the opposite side Geonkhali. Take a bus and get down at College More then walk and enjoy the Rajbari, Garden and museum.
