Had their so called unlimited buffet lunch with family and kids, Their staff is untrained in hospitality and uncourteous and they were not eager to please the diners, this came through in the conversations with us. Food quality was ok. We spent in excess of 5K and unlike other places where people go out of their way to please patrons by taking care if kids requirements even out of the menu items as complimentary, the saffron staff who served us were totally opposite. I am not social media active, however, this place's deplorable service levels need a mention and therefore this review. Do yourself a favour Give this place a skip fellow vegetarians.
Its a nice and beautiful place. Its a fine dinning, kids friendly restaurant. If u are a food lover you can go for buffet which they offer everyday with variety of options at affordable prices
Vegetarian resturant, north and south Indian both are served here. Internet connection inside is bit slow so take cash. Overall a great resturant with polite behavior of people. The price is a bit high but you won't regret it.
The food was average but the starters are better. The service was very poor as food arrived late. When we asked if they would provide fingerbowl, they said yes but then it was not provided. The atmosphere was nice especially for a family outing. It's on the relatively more expensive side.
To all the south Indians, your food problem is solved once you step in to this place. The taste and service was excellent for me and my dad. We had Unlimited 499/- combo food. Every bite of what we had was worth it. From the soup to the paan it was very tasty. I will visit again soon.
Nice ambience but hopeless fooding. 1. Extremely uncomfortable chairs. Sofas are good. 2. Starters quality good but the salad on starters will have only onion flakes. No carrot flakes and tomato pieces. 3. Tomato soup was third class without butter / cream. 4. Dal and paneer are average. 5. Stuff kulcha are not of big size as usually available at other places. 6. Plain tandoori roti was as thin as papad. 7. Vinegar onion was served plain without soaked in vinegar. 8. Dinner plates are small and of poor quality. 9. They (Mr. Bunty Rajput, Manager) are not interested in taking on the spot feedback. 10. Not really worth to visit again unless there is an emergency.
Tow options of sitting. A South Indian & North Indian seating option. Tables and chairs are different for both within the same restaurant and a partition in place to demarcate both areas.
I visited sankalp at another outlet of them which is for for south Indian cuisine. It was good but the price I felt was a bit on the higher side according to the dish. To try once you can go. Service is very good. Hygiene and cleanliness is perfect.
I had one of the most delicious buffet at the least cost possible. It was Rs 2000 (for 4 people) with unlimited lip smacking food. If you are looking forward to one of the delicious food options at the least cost. Go for it!
Taste & ambiance are good, prices are too much as compared to the quantity of food. Size of dosa was too small & even idli was too small, first time in life I have seen these much small idlis. Expensive is good no issues but the quantity of should have some standard size.
Lunch (Buffet) time is from 12-3 pm. Visited 10 mints.before 3 pm. Still they denied to serve buffet saying I should have ordered half an hr.in advance (what a joke)
One of the best vegetarian food in Kolkata, if not Kolkata (as it sounds exaggerated) at least in radius of 15-20 km of new town with Biswa Bangla Gate as centre. Very good taste, humble staff, no over feedback being taken, reasonable costing.
The only feedback with respect to costing is regarding charges of buffet for children below 7 years. No complaints from the place. A person like me, who is a core non-vegetarian foodie, is praising a veg restaurant, in itself is a great complement.
Food is really nice and the ambiance is also very soothing. Little expensive and Service is bit slow but i understand that they don't have preparation ready and it takes time to do that, which is still better as once is assured of getting fresh food.
Had the worst Buffet of life. Sweet corn soup was like sugar syrup. Starters were intentionally highly salted so that people do not eat much. Side dishes were all sweet. Stuffed paratha and kulcha had sweet aloo filling. And thankfully the dessert was a tiny scoop of ice cream which was sweeter than raw sugar. Probably very high ammount of saccharin is used. It was unpalatable after a couple of spoons.
The top notch pure vegetarian restaurant in Sector 5 saltlake. AI recommend Dal makhni, Masala Kulcha and Dum biryani. Even the chef special Veg jhal frezi made with two different sause was something new and tasty.
