Very old place to stay and enjoy the view of wide (about 5 km!) Hoogly river from rooms. Now they have annexed more rooms, all are spacious and with all modern amenities. Old rooms are thoroughly renovated with all amenities too.

This was my second WBTDCL property visit next to Mangaldhara, Barrackpore. It was a small room compared to Mangaldhara. It is nicely maintained and has a great location.
The food quality was awesome.

It is one of the well maintained hotels in affordable range. Food quality is good and rooms are spacious and clean. With good quality of rooms and polite staff behaviour, we also got a good balcony and great room service. Parking space was also available. In total it's worth the money paid.

Some rooms have hinderances to see the Ganges river directly, while the same is mentioned as river facing in the website. Hence always cnfirm the sme frm the hotel before booking. Rest everything is very gd.

Good food at reasonable price at Diamond Harbour. Lodging at affordable rates.

Good place for halt while going towards Gangasagar yatra. It will take about Rs 5 for using their washroom and in the opposite side you can get good tea.

Rooms are good and luxurious but place is little crowdy. It's just opposite on the banks of river. Food is good, not extra ordinary. Views are good. But the road in front of hotels are little crowdy.

The room service is almost non-existent. The taste of food in lunch time is not good and the material used like fish is stale. The food is very expensive and it is just waste of money to have lunch or dinner at this place. There are plenty of good restaurants within a span of 1 to 1 and half kilometres from this place. I would advise not to have any food in this hotel.

Initiative of Government of West Bengal. It's a resort and have a dine in restaurant. You can book online also. It is the best place if you are want to spend time in diamond harbour. Restaurant is awesome. It is situated just in front of hoogly river and beside the Diamond harbour road.

Our recent stay with family was very pleasant at the Sagarika Tourist lodge which has been out and out revamped and Beautified to meet customer needs of modern times. The food, stay and view from the room are all plus. The staff was polite and very helpful. They made our stay very comfortable. They should have more empty space and gardens to make it more attractive to the tourists.

It is situated at the bank of Hoogly river in Daimond harbour, south 24 parganas district of West Bengal. This hotel is run by Govt of west Bengal. Recently it is being renovated and renovation work is almost complete. It's ambience is nice. Restaurant is superb. Food qualities are awasome. Mostly bengali veg and non veg preparations are awasome. Very good place for weekend tour.

Very cool laid back place. Good room service. Besides other food options, simple home made type Bengali food available. Courteous service. AC bus service to Esplanade is also available from the door step of the Lodge. Try and book your room from the West Bengal Government Tourism Site for best room rates. Try and choose a room facing the river. Excellent weekend outing if you want a quiet peaceful place to unwind. Try it you'll like it.

Well designed. You must go here and stay here and enjoy you weekend. It's one of the best hotel in diamond harbour. It's also have own resturant. Price is reasonable.lovely place.

For stay purpose its ok as location is good and facility in room is also good at affordable orice. However resturant wait time is minimum 40 mins for inhouse guests.for outside people even longer.also quality of food is not upto mark and also not all items are available from menu in dinner. We asked for chilli chicken for dinner and gave order at 7 Pm so they could deliver by 10 PM but we were told that they dont have chicken supply for chilli chicken which is not at all acceptable given the amount of time they had to arrange in such location. Then we ordered chicken bharta and got something which was not even close to Bharta.but on complaint they said they have staff shortage etc and then chnaged the dish with little better one.

The restaurant here is neat and clean, properly sanitized. Staffs are well behaved. Food tastes are good but quantity served can be increased according to the price.

A tourist lodge located at Diamond Harbour on the main road, beside the river. Both River facing & back facing rooms are available for booking. Booking available only online directly through the website. Food quality is good, room service is fast, breakfast is complimentary. There are two dining options, have your food in your room or you can go the restaurant in the ground floor and have the food. Carry your KYC (Original copies) and vaccination certificates to check-in. Check-in: 10: 00 AM; Check-out: 9: 00 AM.

The place looks great and has a great view but being a customer who had visited just its restaurant it can be quite a let down. The menu though offers a variety of dishes cannot really be ordered by any customers during lunch hours which was quite a let down. Though the staff is extremely friendly and courteous. For those people who enjoy Bengali cuisine its a great place as the fishes served are fresh and great in quality.

It's a decent place. The in-house restaurant is fair enough. Better than so called other popular outlets like "Tejpata" and "Gharana". The complimentary breakfast is good enough. Ideal place to stay for a day or two.

Its a great place to stay.rooms are very good well mentained.staffs are also very well behaved, rooms are very neat and cleans, they provide all the necessities. If you come to diamond harbour, this hotel is a must!

The security told us that there was a bar & after wasting our halfnhour or more time. They said there was no bar.

We only took the lunch over there. Quantity was much little. Taste was so so. Price normal. Hv to improve in quality n quantity

Food is too good and within budget. Authentic bengali meals and Chinese are available. A must try is fish fry. Overall good experience

Foods are really very delicious and cheap compared to others though very few options are available in fish items.even petty items like tea or coffee is not available at any time which is very annoying sometimes.but overall the place is very refreshing even for selfie people.

This place has such good amenities. But the visitors have no decency to do their part in keeping it clean. This place needs more staff. The food is delicious.

1. Lift is not there. It is very difficult for us who have problems on hip joint and knee joint. No lift should be mentioned in WNTDC website. 2. Some barriers is constructed in the attached balconies of rooms at 2nd floor. These are disturbing the views of Ganges from balcony. Four bars from bottom to be removed for clear view. Some wooden type construction is made at the main gate in addition. These may be removed which is also disturbing in enjoying the view. The engineer/architect who designed those should come here and see what massacar he has done. 3. The water in the bathing section of bathroom is staggering as the slope towards water exit point is absent. 4. Food is excellent.

The restaurant & hotel is located just near the river. You get an awesome view while you have your food. Recommended to visit for a day outing!

It's a nice hotel at diamond harbour town in West Bengal. It's not so far from kolkata. Anyone can visit easily. Hugly river makes it view more wonderful.

Much hyped and overrated. Usual Government attitudes towards the customers. The behaviour of staffs should be more friendly and professional. Much could have been improved.

Sagarika Lodge one of the best lodge at Diamond Harbour. Hotel room quality very nice. Near Ganga River. You can see the river best moment from this hotel. I really love and realised the best hotel Sagarika.

Nice tourist lodge on the banks of the Ganges. The rooms have view of the river and there is a good restaurant serving a variety of cuisines. However it is kind of pricey considering it does require a lot of maintenance. Fortunately that work is already underway and hopefully things will improve a lot in the near future.

Though the renovation works are going on and very few rooms in annex building are available for the guests, room service is truly awesome. Many tourists rush in during the lunch time on their way to places like gangasagar. Sometimes residing guests find it really difficult to get a vacant table. So we preferred room service. Rooms at annex building are very clean and powerful ACs made us feel the Alps in summer. Attached Balcony is covered with glass slidings, so river view can be enjoyed without noice and dust from the nearby road.

This hotel is situated beside river hooghly. Anybody can enjoy the river view from the hotel directly. This is a govt hotel under west Bengal tourism department. Bolling can be done on online and offline also.it is once of the best hotel at diamond harbour.

Hotel Prices are High. But It is Clean and Big Ac Room with Big Balcony. Hotel Locatated in Front of Ganga River. You can easily see this in your Room Balcony. Also have Parking lot and in Hotel Restaurant facilities. Food is Good and budget price. Also Veg and Non Veg available here.

Scenic beauty of the River Ganges can be had with an amazing experience from the hotel rooms itself.
Room tariffs might seem a bit at the higher side though. But it offers a very good stay there with all the best of hygienic cleanliness and comforts.
Restaurant is also very good here with quality service and good tasty food. Staffs are very good and friendly with cordial behavior and prompt service.
In a nutshell, one might like to revisit the Lodge whenever one would visit the place.

Government lodge, staying quality is quite standard. Famous for it's foods and beverages. Arrangements become more gorgeous during festive seasons like durga puja, Christmas, New year, wedding season etc. Picturesque view of the scenic beauty of setting sun on the Ganges from the hotel is a super attraction of this place.

The lodge is at the most adequate place on the bend of the road and the majestic Hooghly river. The location is one boon that this lodge can boast of. Adequately staffed and lot of rooms, but always pre book prior to visiting this place. On the other side of the road there are small shops which sell local snacks and you can enjoy the same while you watch the river pass by in its own space. If you really want to see a marvel of the nature, then visit when there is a high tide to see the river flowing upstream. Good to spend a day lazing on the river bank. The lodge has a restaurant on the ground floor and food served is edible. If you visit during monsoon, be brave to bear the loud thunders of monstrous lightening's that comes with blistering rain.experience it to tell your stories!
