Samrat hotel and restaurant

Well I have been eating here for the last 12 years. And we all know if it's not good you can't go there repeatedly every month sometimes every week.
I will not give you any specific food review of this place, definitely you can try their biriyani, fish butter masala, kulcha, mixed veg, dal fry, dab chingri and etc. But i will tell you when no other restaurant is there, Samrat was there and as i have said i have been visiting this place very often and i noticed each and every age people actually come again and again to samrat. Its like you want to celebrate then let's Go to Samrat. This is the feeling for Samrat.
Yes price is little bit higher side but i guess it earned this price band so don't want to drag about price thing also i have seen many restaurants even couple from serampore itself that price too high but not even close to Samrat's food taste. So from me its a must visit place.

All of these this restaurant is absolutely fine, but one problem is the gap between the table and chair, and the chair to another chair is also very much low, sometimes you can't seat properly.

In past this Hotel is best staff behaviour is best but now this Hotel is not good food quality staff behaviour not ok

The food is amazing, behaviour of staff and atmosphere are great.
Cost of food is reasonable.
The veg thali price 125+GST.
Clean and comfortable atmosphere.
I dine in with my family, and everyone are satisfied.
In future, I will visit again.

Today I suggested my guests to try Samrats food.because I have visited here many times and the food expectation was good. But after today I have changed my mind. We Ordered Chiken Reshmi Kabab. Instead of Juicy and buttery it was cold, Dry, rubbery it exactly tasted like like the boiled chicken my mother makes for my cats. Overall the food quality and teast is not as good as it was last time I visited.and when you complaint against it they will just stand still and say ok.though the drinks were good.but they messed up name on the top of drink.and because it was birthday special we asked them to change it.they just scooped the top of and served it like that.and it was looking unappetising at this point.so they will not put any effort to your drink which cost 150/-. I was embarrassed in front of guests. I am going to avoid this place from now on.

A good restaurant in Sreerampore with some cuisine which is really good. Will give a detailed review later.

We ordered chicken hot and sour soup that was really very good. Then we ordered Mix Fried Rice with Chili Chicken, Both quality and quantity are better. The quality of the chicken was also very good, The quality of the rice was good and the test was perfect. The quantity is perfect according to the price of the food. We ordered fish fry and the fish fry was good enough. The quality was good. The stuffing was very soft.we really enjoy the food that day.let's come to the service, If the service is a little fast, it is better. We had to wait a long time for this food. The staff behaviour is very good and the restaurant ambience is very good. It's a great place to spend time with family and friends.

Old glory of Serampore. Still running successfully. Mughlai item is the speciality here though all types of item is available. Once it was the only destination to us for dine out. From chowmin to mughlai paratha Samrat was the only choice. One can choose it blindly. Good one. Now facing hard competition of course, but from taste to quality to quantity Samrat restaurant is a good choice.

Excellent Behaviour. Ever smiling faces trying to take care of guests. Personal touch. As of Hotel - good ambience. Food from Samrat Hotel is famous in that area. Overall Nice.

Very awesome and delicious foods are available but cost is much more than other restaurants in Serampore

Samrat has always been a pioneer of quality food since years. Never disappointed. Always very humble and good behavior.

From student life days it is a fantastic tasty foods place where we enjoyed a lot in early 80s when we studying at Serampore College

Very poor experience after order mutton item I received chicken item, and that kind of mistake which is ignored by restaurant authority and those person who attended my call just ignore the amount which I paid. I lose faith from Samrat. Can't cheat your castomer. Try to fix those issues and build customers

Seating arrangement is too poor.i believe food pricing are also on upper side.overall not a good experience as you will have to wait for getting a table.tables are quite small you cant even keep all the items you have ordered.if you are biryani lover thn you may visit at it does not occupied much space.

Visited here after 20 years. Ambience, atmosphere totally changed. Food is awesome. Good place for a family outing.

I just love its ambience.
The service is very fast but if u will order chinese cuisine then it will take a bit if time.

Probably makes the best gravy noodles. Must give a try

It is one of the oldest restaurants in Serampore. I am visiting them since my childhood. Quality is something they will not compromise with. Price might seem a bit on the higher side but considering the quality they are really reasonable.
Nothing I can name specifically from their menu but you should try their Biriyani. Every item they serves are their signature item.

I don't hate this place. It's a good place for delicate and peaceful dining single or with family.

Very poor quality of food, we've ordered garlic chicken, the chicken is very hard, and not fresh. We can get better quality than this at any road side restaurant. Staff behaviour is very good, but service is very slow.

Very nice restaurant, I have sometimes take lunch or dinner here. They have also done home delivery.

Since so many years I used to go there. I like this restaurant very much for its quality food with reasonable price.

Very good place. I bet you cannot get such a great place at such a minimal cost in whole kolkata. Cleaniliness is more than better. Staffs are so supportive, helpful and polite. Service is very quick. They have their own restaurant from where you can order food and they will deliver you to your room.

In recent past their attitude towards low budget customers has been worsened a lot.they should not forget about the competitors in the market.things might not be same rosy forever.

This is a famous restaurant not only in SRP but also its surrounding area. Even people from far away come here with family, friends. Food quality is excellent and tasty. Service is good also

One of the oldest restaurants of Serampore. I have been visiting this restaurant since childhood. Love the small aquariums on upper floor. However entrance is very narrow, there is no parking facility. পায়ে হেঁটে খাড়া সিঁড়ি বেয়ে উপরে উঠতে হবে। Food quality is good at reasonable price.
Inside light of restaurant is always dim, i do not know why they always use less light. No wifi facility. They do not order through Zomato app, however all other leading serampore restaurants like Om casual does.

Foods are very tasty, location is nearest to Serampore railway station and also this restaurant is situated at market place

Restaurent environment is quite good, staff behaviour average, food price reasonable, you can compare with arsalan with taste of biryani,

It's the hotel, visiting since two decades. Nice ambiance and tasty food. Reasonable price. Anything and at any moment. Just fantastic.

Best dinning resturent in Srirampoore. If you're visiting as couple please keep 400-500/- in your wallet.
