Sanskriti Metro

One of the prestigious cultural halls in Bardhaman. Though it has lost its charm and popularity, still this is one of the largest stages in West Bengal for theatres. Cleanliness is maintained and a very spacious hall in Bardhaman. There's an underground movie hall Metro cinema adjacent to this place.

Chances were there to be the 2nd Nandan, the cultural hub of Bengal.preparation was there, everything was perfect. Sanskriti Lokmancha.people of Burdwan were very fond of it.it was their prestigious auditorium, their Signature Heritage. Long gone those golden days.now SANSKRITI is a metro theatre playing cinemas and occasional cultural programme. Only the name and structure is still there and the sighs of so many well-wishers.

Earlier when no Sanskriti Metro was there, this Sanskriti Loko Moncho was the heart of the town. Every new releases were screened here at a cheap rate.parking place was also available. Near Curzon Gate or Burdwan Court. Do not take toto or rikshaw from curzon gate. Its walking distance. Now meeting, cultural programme etc are organized here. Really this is a pride of Burdwan town. If u want to know Burdwan you must visit atleast once in your life. Really a nice place.

This is the place where I started watching movies in the big screen. This is the place where I fell in love for films. This used to be a cinema hall with a large screen and seating capacity and as well as a auditorium. But now they made a new theater in the underground called "Sanskriti Metro" for movies and this one only operates as a auditorium now for many kinds of events and functions. Sanskriti Metro is also a great place for movies with great picture and sound quality but this is a nostalgic place for the 90s kids of Burdwan. I miss watching films here very much.

Nice place for cultural activities, big auditorium for program, fully air-conditioned, seats are comfortable, this hall accompanied with basic amenities.

One of the oldest theatre in burdwan. Renovated in 2010 to meet the demands of people. It may not be as good as Inox but you will surely have fun here, if you are going with your gang. All the national box office hit movies are shown here. Ticket rates are minimum. Not only movies but they also organise drama/plays here. It is just near to Curzon Gate so locomotive to and fro from here is very easy.

Disgusting! The price is very high compared to the condition of the place. The seats are not comfortable at all. The guard or god knows whoever the person is, constantly irritates by flashing torches on face! The bathrooms are also in very very poor condition. Go to inox and pay 30-40 rupees more and it will be worth it. I would prefer not to watch a movie in theater rather than going to metro

Behaviour of the staffs are good, but they hv many problems like they dnt hv good quality of food inside

In low budget it's a fantastic movie theatre as well as auditorium. Nice sound quality and beautiful picture.

Moderately comfortable movie theatre. Price is comparatively high to experience. Toilets are not updo the mark. Seats are not comfortable.

It is good place to watch movies in a afford able price ₹60-80.timing 2,3: 30 &6: 30 pm for two different movies (whithout hollywood). Food and drinks options also available here.

It is in past Burdwan best cinema hall in ranked. They provide their hall for cultural purpose. But you need to book first in advance. Now here another hall is created few years ago named Metro. Good quality of cinema Theatre Jatra takes place here. Film festival also celebrated here. It is looks like Geetanjali. Small park situted at the front of hall. Parking facility available but not free.

One of the oldest theatre of burdwan where all dramas are still now performed and it is a place of importance to burdwan.

In terms of the ambiance it's great, however there are some major drawbacks like you won't get updates of the shows running here over online, no online booking system. You may get surprise after reaching there.

Burdwan municipalities maintained in this place. Clean and good environment. If you want to go here with your family, you must go.

Very good hall within budget price. Fully air conditioned room.sound and picture quality are also good. Comfortable seat and almost similar to multiplex cinema hall.

Went to see a Bengali movie as an invited guest. To my utter surprise, I found that this movie Hall, Sanskriti Metro, is not an inch lesser than Kolkata Nandan or any other inox halls in terms of quality. Maintenance of such an underground Hall, that too with good quality sound, picture and wonderful seating arrangements, is not an easy task. The administration of Sanskriti metro has made it possible. Moreover, there is a quality food junction just outside this Hall. My only suggestion is, a team of international movie watchers should be formed and they should be given the task of choosing international movies from time to time so that the citizens of Burdwan can enjoy such movies in this wonderful Hall.

Overall good.no of seats are quite inadequate but ok.the problem is sometimes sound.ticket fare is cheaper

The place is situated underground the Sanskriti Locomancha (the largest community hall in Bardhaman), near Court Compound, in front of the Curzon Gate. Though a small cinema hall, the place has amenities like that of a multiplex. The sitting arrangement and the sound is good. It has push-back seats and Dolby Digital sound. Good place to watch a movie.

Nice place to watch movies at low budgets with good quality of service but the facalty they have is that only one hall and the hall is small
