Tasty home cooked food (full bengali thali),
Ac and non ac clean rooms, good views of nearby village and agricultural land, parking, great hospitality. The hosts also guided us on the places of interest.

We visited the place at the start of Feb with a team of my office colleagues led by Jaysree. I have to say Mr. Banerjee and his wife had been very gracious hosts. The place is beautiful to my liking, remote and beautiful, and Mr. Banerjee has everything organised to make a remote place with all the necessary conveniences. Nice food with varieties and lots of sweets. I came home fatter over a weekend. Please visit this place if you enjoy real beauty of the countryside and please don't turn it into a nuisance.p. S: Forgot to add that the other staffs, service personnel were also very warm and helpful.

Excellent hospitality. Rooms well maintained. Staffs are ever smiling and supportive. Very tasty and homely food. Owner Mr Samrat Banerjee and Mrs Sudeshna Banerjee are very caring about the guests.

Went mid-July'22, stayed in the large non-ac room on the 1st floor.

Pros:
- Excellent hospitality of the owner Mr Samrat Banerjee. He is very humble, polite, and helpful. He himself took me on his bike to the terracota temples of Sribati, because he wanted to explain the temples to me (since the toto driver would not be able to do so).
- Really excellent food! The variety of items and the taste is the very best. You can actually stay here only for the food They even serve homemade ghee and honey.
- The service is very warm and always ready to help.
- The location is just next to green paddy fields, so a lot of nature surrounds you.
- They have a generator to take care of the power cuts.

Cons:
- Rooms are basic and comfortable, but nothing fancy. No tv in the room, though personally I don't watch tv but families may require in the evening.
- No wifi
- Maybe because it was monsoon times, and it was the 1st floor room, there were lots of flying insects inside the room after sunset.
- Lots of red ants in the room, some even on the bed.

Overall, I recommend this Homestay for a comfortable stay, excellent food, warm hospitality, and surrounded by abundant natural beauty.
Will definitely come again in winter!

Tip: I expected monsoon time to be cool and nice, so had taken the non-ac room with windows on two sides, but it was extremely hot and humid, quite unbearable. So, I will recommend only ac room even in the monsoon months.

This home stay is situated in a village called Singi. Delicious and healthy food is available in both quality and quantity. Accommodation is very good. From this home stay, the whole village is seen in good weather. The owner of the home stay is a honest person and his hospitality is really much appritiatable. Please visit this home stay to get a good accomondation and also his hospitality.

An amazing homestay experience it is. This place has good sightseeing to offer as well. Rich in historical matters. However above all Shantiniketan home stay is very very special because of the superior hospitality and exquisite food!

It is one stop destination for food lovers as well as nature lovers. Authentic pure organic bengali food with pure adda with Samrat Babu is a wonderful combination which is rare to come by now a days. I have visited twice and will visit in near future for sure. Keep it up Samrat Babu

Its an awesome place. The hosts are very friendly and caring. The village Singi is also a great place to visit. If u wish to spend some days amidst the beauty of a Bengal village with a friendly atmosphere then this is the place.

Santiniketan Home Stay area is like garden of Eden, very beautiful. Staff is nice and friendly.children are allowed to the resort, making the hotel very calming place. There were always available pool. We enjoyed are stay very much.

It's really had a great and mindblowing destination to visit with your family.mainly the atmosphere and homely reception by Samrat da and Madam.the food is delicious.

Please visit the place if you want to stay away from cacophonies and seeking solace. The location of this homestay is it's main attraction and it can offer you peace. Do experience the rustic roads of the village and visit all the nearby sight seeing spots. Most importantly, this homestay justifies it's hospitality approach because it actually offers you service in such a manner that you would feel you are at home or at a close relatives place. The food is inexplicably tasty, both variety and presentation of the food is commendable. This place is a must visit for me once a year.

It's a home stay with ecstatic food! The owner is very friendly and entertaining.good talker.there is no such worth visiting place other than a Mandir around five kilometres. Worth for 2 days visit.

অসাধারণ একটি ঘরোয়া পরিবেশ। রান্নার স্বাদের কোন তুলনা হবেনা। নিরামিষ রান্না এক কথায় অসাধারণ। এবং সর্বোপরি সম্রাটদার অমায়িক ব্যবহার সত্যিই তুওলনাহীন।

A very good example of a bad hotel.unhygienic. Bad behavior. Not secure. Toilet is blocked with potty.
Food is very unhygienic and unhealthy.they use bad oils.
All the staffs are stubborn including Manager.

The place was a great find. It's a homestay so don't expect star hotel comfort. But you'll get basic amenities. A great thing is that they don't have TV but have Bengali books in the room, that reflects the owner's taste.
There's a lot to do in and around Singi and the owner Samrat Banerjee would guide you about the surroundings. In the evening all boarders gather for a camp fire in the garden. Samrat has been nursing the garden since 2012 with all his love, and it shows. There are trees from Thailand and Iran apart from our known Bengali trees.

The speciality of the homestay is it's food. The vegetables grow in the garden, the fish in the pond and the food is great and sumptuous.

In terms of hospitality, the homestay beats everyone else. Samrat himself takes care of the visitors with an impressive warmth. We were surprised to see that no sooner had we stepped down from our car than welcome drinks was waiting on a tray.

Tip: Choose from among the 3 terrace rooms: Posto, Sorshe and Monda.

Eat right and eat fresh. That's the mantra out here. Be rest assured about the food here. You are sure to taste everything from the nature's basket. The oil, the ghee, the vegetables, the fish everything sourced from the firm is devoid of chemicals. And therefore no wonder they are pure. Add to that the culinary skills of the chef. Dont forget to order chicken paturi. You will simply love it. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. They are extremely clean. And the most important aspect is the owner Samrat babu. He can be termed as a dictionary on this subject of eat fresh. Eat good concept. It's fascinating to say the least.

It's a nice place to spend few days in homelike accommodation.
This village was the home of great poet KASHIRAM DAS, and still there are many sites to see.

Terrible experience. Very bad & dirty rooms & toilets. All staffs are rude and unhelpful. Don't dare to stay with your family.
My experience was very awful and I was waiting for the morning to leave out of the hell.

This is a quaint place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. A super friendly home stay which serves up its own food grown in the garden and fish reared in its own pond. One can even pick out which vegetables to eat, and get them themselves from the garden. There is a great roof where one can sit and enjoy the evenings with Muri Alur Chop and Cha. There are also books kept in the rooms so if one wants to just while away the time, that is possible here too. The owners are very friendly and they will explain the goings on of this place. They even press out their own cooking oil and ghee. Located on the main road connecting Patuli and Katwa, Singi is a historic place where Kashiram Das used to live and he translated the Mahabharata into Bengali right here in this village. Though his dwelling house is in ruins, it feels nice connecting to history. The actual homestay is great if one wants to get away for a day or two, it is really a great place. Five Stars to this one.

Other people have left enough details about the place so I will not try to repeat them. However, I must say you should visit this place for the food and hospitality alone. I went with my friends and family and hat's off to Samrat (Owner of the place) we felt like we are visiting a close relative's place. The food is totally organic (if you're into that kind of stuffs), homemade and all ingredients they used are produced inhouse and boy o boy that make a huge difference in the end. Desi chicken and Duck are a must try.:)
