It was an all out Positive experience.
Got refreshed - Staff, Room, Food each and everything is second to none.
Special mention of Jayanta as the most capable Manager and yes the Owner Mr Ranjan Dutta - a true Gentleman.

The location is good and the rooms are quite average.

Coming to the main concern, the caretakers are the rest of the staff are quite rude.
They behave like they are doing you a favor by keeping you in their house. And even have the audacity to make snide remarks.

My dad casually asked him if we could check out at 12 noon to which the caretaker snarkily replied "your checkout is at 11"

When I asked for a match box, one of the staff tells me "I see you going out everyday but why don't you get a match box yourself"

Really don't think this is how guests should be spoken to.

If you care about having a wholesome feeling in Shantiniketan, then I wouldn't recommend this place.

I had booked 2 rooms on 06/03/2020 for 28/03/2020 by making full advance payment.
But unfortunately due to covid-19 regulations everything was cancelled.
I presume the guest house was closed for quiet a few months.
They had promised to refund the booking amount once they re-open.
But after contacting 2-3 times there was no response.
I know it's more than 3 years now.
But if possible, please refund.

We love to stay over here, everytime we visit Shantiniketan. Food, environment, service everything is good.

Near to Sonajhuri Haat, this place is perfect to spend the weekend. Very peaceful and quiet place with tidy rooms and near spotless washrooms. Helpful staff is a definite plus.

Wonderful place near khoai hut shantiniketan, Bolpur. I have stayed here with my family for four times. Awesome service, good behaviour and good food and best location, safe home. It's not just a guest house. You will feel it home. Rooms are good and the rooftop too. I always enjoy this place. We all love it. I highly recommend Santisudha if you are coming go Shantiniketan, Bolpur. They have wonderful garden too.

The place is absolutely serene. Located at just 6 mins walkable distance from khoai haat or sonirbarer haat. Best place for those who look for peaceful ambience. Early morning walks in and around the campus is a fun thing to do.
Rooms are well maintained, staffs are good. The hospitality of the owner is praiseworthy.
Food is a bit high priced. Yet it's worth it if you are going with your parents or family. A few sample shots for your kind perusal.

Xcellent maintained property. Prime location with very very tasty food to enjoy. The owner Ranjan babu is a helpful gentleman.

U must stay over here all the things are good and I specifically like their garden area it's a peaceful place in affordable price but the food prices are a bit too high but the food is good. Overall I would rate it 9/10 cause they had lizards in the room. Like we saw total 3 different lizards in our room.

It was an excellent experience. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the rooms are also pretty good. The food was delocious and the hotel staff was quite amicable. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Rooms are ok. Service not so good. Food menu and cooking should improve. Very oily. Toilets are clean. Rooms are big. Nice garden. Lazy staff.

It has been a mesmerizing stay there for two nights along with my family and relatives. Very nice place with vibrant energy from the garden.very well maintained property and courteous staff! If you want SHANTI, may consider staying here.

I visited Sonajhuri with my friends on 21st Dec'19 and stayed for one night at Santi sudha. Location of the lodge is just 2 minutes from Sanibarer hut. Rooms of the guest house were very spacious. Food was simply awesome. All the staffs were courteous, polite, serving everyone always with smiling face. Thanks to the owner of the lodge for providing us accommodation at last moment.

Beautiful gardens, comfortable and clean rooms. Very good food. Location, just 5mts.walk to Saturday Hat.

First time selected a place to stay other than hotel but the experience was really great.food was really very good and felt like home.rooms are clean and homely.staff were also very polite.a word of thanks to Mr Ranjan for his entire associatiom from check in till check out and Mr Diptiranjan for his food services.would highly recommmend to stay here.

Although Shantiniketan is getting crowded and polluted day by day, Santi Sudha is a real 'Abode of Peace' with flowers, birds, natural plantations, water body and unique architectural beauty in the midst of Khoai. A perfect destination to spend two days 'me time' in the lap of nature. The maintenance and reception of the property are awesome. I would like to mention separately about the food. You just leave yourself on them and enjoy your precious vacation.

4 minutes walk from Sinajhuri Haat. Enjoy Haat without madness. Best guest house with clean, hygienic rooms and good tasteful foods. Safe to stay with you family. Full of greens within

This place seems to be extremely overpriced. Double beds are not proper sized. Therefore it is difficult to sleep for 2 adults. Staff behaviour is very rough.

I stayed there with family and friends for two days and want to go there again soon because of the nature and courteous staff and their services.

Bolpur never fails to mesmerize no matter what the season is. But this time it was our homestay that really mesmerized us along with the place itself. The Santisudha Homestay is another jewel in the beautiful Sonajhuri area of Bolpur, just a few meters walking distance from Shonibaarer Haat. The approach road is under repair but motorable for four wheelers as well. We stayed there for 3 nights from 20th to 23rd July ‘18. Our room was a 3 bed one, well ventilated and carefully decorated with minimalistic furniture handcrafted locally and walls covered with tribal motifs, with big windows providing a beautiful view of the garden. The bathroom was very very clean. The two storey house itself has been made with great care keeping in mind the aesthetics and blends well with its natural surroundings. The garden has beautiful flowering plants and fruit & vegetable plants as well. It has not been made into a jungle but the choicest of plants have been selected and is maintained everyday and you will be treated with the chirps and views of beautiful birds every morning. We had some views of our own where we would see parrots feasting on ripe mangoes and hummingbirds tasting nectar.
The kitchen and dining area is situated just beside the main building. There is an open as well as a close dining area with adjoining open view kitchen where you can see the food being cooked. The kitchen is one of the cleanest I have seen, the way one would keep at home. We were lucky to have Mr. Jayanta who was our Manager as well as cook. He makes some excellent bengali food which we loved so much and was so tasty. Cleanliness and hygiene isn't compromised and the raw materials are brought fresh from the market daily. Sometimes the food is made with fresh produce from the garden.
The staff was very friendly, well mannered and they made sure we had a very pleasant stay, cleaning the premises every morning and catering to our needs with a smile.
When we contacted Mr. Ranjan, the owner of the property, he assured us and insisted that we experience the place ourselves. Well, I would like to say Mr. Ranjan that we got so much more than what you assured and it was an experience like no other. The place feels like home and is like the house we dream of having for ourselves, tucked away in the lap of nature and built with great care and lots of love. Mr. Ranjan has made a small piece of heaven in the beautiful sonajhuri.
On behalf of my father Ashit Kumar Mandal and my family, I would like to thank Mr. Jayanta and his team for the wonderful experience me and my family had during our stay and also for the tasty mangoes and guava. We would also like to thank Mr. Ranjan for giving us a home away from home and memories to cherish forever.
I highly recommend this place for everybody.

Really different from others. Tasty & healthy food, clean room, washroom, corridors. We were with our child and she also liked, enjoyed. Kitchen and front desk crew (Team Jayanta Da), room service, even gardener (Bhanu Da) every body is eagerly involved to keep us comfortable & hygienic. This property is more than fooding and lodging. Garden, water body, reading area many things are there. It was our second trip and found something new again, took rest, enjoyed, interested to stay there again and advise others to visit the property in a reasonable package.

If you are looking for serenity and a peaceful stay near Shantiniketan, this place is a lovely choice. It's near to "Khoai" and Sona jhuri, in the heart of nature. The rooms are not spacious but neat and tidy enough to spend a weekend. Food is homely and served with warmth. They are setting up a library and a cafeteria which will be an added attraction to this place in near future. (Hope we will be informed after it's finished.) Thanks to Jayanta (the young man with a warm smile) and other staffs (sorry for not knowing them individually) for their charming behaviour.
Hopefully I will get to know them all in my next stays.
One thing I want to add, please set up some fans in the Veranda area especially for this humid season.

Beware. Mr. Jayanta Mondol whom I contacted from Kolkata is a lier. Please record his call otherwise you may be cheated. The two staffs - Suman and Toton are very good. Rooms are very neat and clean. Foods are good but no choice is there from chicken/ mutton/ egg dishes. You can't choose from the menu card rather you have to take that particular dish that they prepare. If you can adjust no problem. Overall nice experience except the Jayanta Mondol chapter. The toto driver Laltu is a nice person. Sonajhuri Hat is within walking distance.

Price is too high for modarate service and room quality. Unprofessional behaviour by caretaker. Looks good from outside but on inside room bed quality and wardrode quality is very poor, AC not working properly. And last of all very much unprofessional and rude behaviour of caretakers.

This two star is only for food. Food quality is very good.

I spent the entire weekend (28-Apr to 30-Apr) with my wife and mother and I must say that this place really lived up to its claim of "homestay". A beautifully maintained guesthouse, with every member of the staff trying to ensure your satisfaction. Staff was extremely polite, well-mannered and decent. All issues/requests were promptly addressed. Food was very tasty, light and again made us feel at home. The environment was so very calm and peaceful. It was wonderful to interact with the Manager Mr. Ranjan Dutta, who shared his vision about improving this homestay to preserve the artistic heritage of Shantiniketan. There is also a Reader's paradise being setup where guests can spend quality time reading books in a first floor glass-house, surrounded by nature blooming at its best. The garden is a heaven for tree/flower lovers. There is limited or no mobile tower coverage, but the guesthouse has its dedicated WiFi so internet access is not an issue. Would definitely recommend this place to all.
