On my way to an office nearby, I was pleasantly surprised to chance upon Sarat Chandrer Bashbhobon a.k. A.the home of the great literary genius Sarat Chandra Chatterjee. I discovered that it is not usually open to visitors but the caretaker will allow you to have a look from outside, where you can check out his bust and allow the statues of so many great luminaries from Bengal whom he himself admired. The space within is usually rented for small cultural functions or NGO meetings and seems affordable. Highly recommended visit for literary buffs and also to forums who would want to conduct meetings at a nominal price at a historic location!
