Great food. The options you get in this Sharma is varied.
The Matar Kachori is a must try though! They add a piece of Dum Aloo along with the classic Aloo Sabzi, Mirchi and Chutney. However, normal big kachori and club kachori are also available!
But yes, expect the pricing to be on a higher side. Esp the coffee you’ll feel like you are paying at Starbucks!
Would recommend to try this place only once at that price point.
Honestly speaking not impressed with Taste & Service against Price. Was not of having an extraordinary Taste compared with other normal Kolkata's street Kachori shop, as we heard.
Updat: It has got the major make over.in recent times. Good for hangout and snacks break. Tea and Lassi specialist. At present they have added one sandwich counter in front of shop, good news for the foodies. Its all the same, just that visited at evening time and it was jam packed.
Sharma tea is not just a tea & snacks joint. It's a feeling. It's a integral part of Kolkata and its Street food culture. It's really amazing how they have been maintaining the food and tea quality over the years. Deserve a 5* and nothing less.
Awesome snacks joints. Of lately tea is somewhat not of previous taste what it used to be but rest all superb. Parking, serving fresh food. Also opened from early morning till late night so.full marks
Good place for adda and fun, very homely environment. One can have food in car too, there's seating arrangement also. The place is well maintained and hygiene is also taken care of in every aspect, the disposable paper plates being one such example. Food is great especially club kachoris, jalebi and tea. Overall a value for money experience
Not a best place to hangover but a good place for adda, specially recomended for youngsters. Chai is kind of ok-ish. Lassi lost its class recently, the quality dropped. Over all 5/10. Samosa chat is what i like the most till date.
Tea - Rs. 25, kesar tea - Rs. 35, jalebi - Rs. 15, clab kachori - Rs. 45. Quite expensive but you can go with your friends & family for one evening outing. Sitting place is beside the road only.
The complete business model for Sharma Tea depand on how the parking experience for people front of it. If they really wanted to give better experience of customer then Sharma Tea should work closely with BMC to keep the parking place clear.
Nice place for having breakfast in the morning. Hygenic and quality breakfast in normal budget in Salt Lake area. Definitely recommend this place for having a good breakfast and snacks. The tea was really very tasty.
I was shocked to see the salesman at the counter picking up the eatables with his bare hands without any gloves. During this pandemic period the municipality must enforce all salesmen to wear gloves in all these eateries.
It's a crowd puller for the young people who would like to munch on a few indian snacks with the tea. Tea is good and strong doodh Patti in a kullar and is usually predictable. However, avoid the place during odd hours like afternoon as the staff may dole out tea which is reheated and has lost all its flavour.
Please try onion kachuri here. Jelabi was tasty too, good for breakfast and snacks All veg options available here Snacks item available here. Quality food. Delivery available
You will be spoiler for choices. You can find club kachori, radhaballabi, mini Vada pav, chats, jalebi, hot gulab jamun, tea etc. It is open from 6 am to 20 pm. Serves dishes hot that are ought to be served hot. We ordered 12 pieces of radhaballabi that was served with aloo dum, one gulab jamun and one tea, all for Rs. 210. If you are not averse to eating standing and under the open sky, you can have hot n tasty food.
Loved the peyaz kachori and the chai.but did not much like the dhokla and gajar ka halwa.a nice place to gossip with friends over a cup of tea and great kachoris.will visit again to have another plate of peyaz kachori.
Went to this place for many times with friends, good place, Sunday rush is there and parking is not free food quality is not as it was used to be, par ok kaam calu types
Was disappointed with the food packets (45 boxes) which I had ordered and packed.otherwise the food which is served in the shop has always been of good quality.but ordering on a large scale was a bad choice I think.the dahi vada was too hard.kadhi with only 1 single tiny pakorah.and hard kachoris. Sharma Tea you have let me down big time️
Horrible! Tea was good but the shopkeeper told my daughter that he can't give her the third item she asked for. Take the two items and go is what she was told! I'm surely not going back!
The quality of the food items, be it kachori, puri, sweets and other snacks is amazing. Mouthwatering taste of kachori sabzi brings people here from as far as 15 kms. Sweets is another speciality here as they serve hot gulab jamun and jalebi too. Tea, which is their USP is actually very good. One would love the taste of the tea that is made here.
Its a adda spot for local young and middle aged near Salt lake swimming pool. Sec 2. Quite pricey. Food quality is good but not justify the price. Been there couple of times.
I went there for the first time with my best buddies. I heard a lot of time about this famous place but never had the opportunity to go there. We ordered tea, veg pakora & dhokla. All the items are really good. Prices are also in budget.
This is my and my hubby's all time fact place to have tea. They really have amazing tea which they serve in "kullad" which is a pot made of clay or mud. They have amazing kachauri's which they serve with aloo curry (potato curry) which again is yuuumm and worth trying. They have amazing hot jalebi's so if you are found of sweets than its your place.
It's a local hub for all age group people around the town. You got all veg food served here. Name it and you get it really fast services out here. The best part is that just park your car and you can have your food in the car. The service boys comes and take the order from you and serve you in the car. Must try is the #chai or Tea.
Great breakfast option at Salt Lake near swimming pool. Enjoy the freshly cooked food, forget the calories. Tried club kachori, jalebi and pipping hot tea, everything was good.
While the tea is nice, but the snacks served are oily. Quality of snacks definitely can be much improved. The Pakodas and Kachoris are prepared earlier, and re-fried on oil to serve hot to the customers. Again, the space outside the shop is not maintained cleanly. The waste management didn't seem nice. Many areas for improvement.
