Well, its very famous for its tea, attracting crowds mostly from bhawanipore, park circus and khidderpore. The tea is amazing, one of the best I've had in Kolkata, the Samosa's or Shingara's are light on the tongue, not too spicy, with moderate filing. The club kachoris are also decent considering its competition, but its no way near the Big 4 of burrabazar (changhani, kanhaiya, badri & chunniwala). The sabzi out there (burrabazar) is a blend of pure banaras and Rajasthan. All in all, good place for adda.
You get tempted after looking at the people eating at this joint.famous for its club kachori and kesariya chai. Perfect place to come and ignite your test bud for a quick morning munching. And not to forget, must try the large lassi.
The quality of this place is degrading day by day. They are using cheap oils to make kachori and sabzi. Tea is okayish but it's not worth 20 per serve.
This place is a must visit for all the tea lovers. Along with tea they also serve all types of snacks and sweets like kachori, singara, gulab jamun etc. They are open from early morning to night so visiting time is not a constraint here. Most people come to have a sip of their tea post morning walks.
This is very famous tea house of kolkata in Shambhunath Pandit street. It's near to gurudwara. This place is known for its very popular kesar tea (saffron tea) which is served in kulhad. It's tasty cup of tea garnished with kesar. Also jalebi and snacks are quite popular here. It's a small roadside shop which is mostly crowded and is clear indication of its popularity in kolkata. It's definitely worth a try if you are a chai lover.
The food and tea are ok. But no one gives a hoot of what you want. I asked multiple times for tea and rates. Came here seeing the reviews. But the place is ok.
Street food joint at bhowanipore near SSKM PG hospital. Although there is no sitting arrangement, food quality is good.mostly serves tea and snacks.good quality good at an affordable price
Absolutely delicious Tea and Kachori Sabzi. Open all night except 4-5am. Try visiting on a winter midnight or sunrise. The only concern is hygiene. Also, there's no place to sit or even stand at peak hours. If you've got a personal vehicle, it's ideal for you as they serve directly to your car. All the best!
Taste was ok and price was not more nice There was no menu card people who are coming from outside they will not know the price what they eat please keep menu card I eat 2 plate kachori bhaji, 3 tea, 1 coffee &1 plate Jalebi they charge me 190 total
The sunday morning crowd will tell you why this place is so popular. The kachoris are fresh and sabji is thick and tasty. Do try their kesar cha and lassi too
Nice Tea and Kachori Shop. Singara And Galebi Was Also Good. Price Is Reasonable. Tea Was Too Good. Must Try For Everyone. It's situated just opposite of the gurudwara. If you visit there take at least 2-3 kachori (which is enough), 1singara, 1 gelabi and must 1tea. Tea may cost 20-30-50.
Tea over here is the best and as compared to Balwant Singh Eating House Sharma Tea House is best place to have tea & snacks but this place is to dirty they need to take care of there shop for hygiene and decor purpose
One of the best North Indian snacks shop in Kolkata. The item is limited but they are delicious. Famous for club kachouri, jelabi and keshar tea, other items are also tasty. Getting place is a problem during breakfast time. Location is very good but parking is a big problem. Service is excellent.
Best Tea in Kolkata. Trust me. It is anytime better than Balwant. Giving 1 star less - only to caution readers here. DO NOT have kachori sabji in the morning here, else whole day you might have gastronomic problem
Its a small place but it have variety of items in their menu. The snacks and tea is very good. The service is also nice. The place is just opposite of Gurdwara Sant Kutiya.
Of you are lucky (to find parking) a great drive in. But what's more memorable is the awesome kesar chai with the right amount of sweetness and the samosa, the kachori! It is one of the very few spots in the city which are with visiting. But even more amazing are the servers of the tea house who are serve with so much of love and welcome you with a smile.
One of my favourite joint in kolkata. A plate of club Kachori with a lassi will give you the perfect start of the day. A must visit for breakfast in kolkata.
It's a very old place in kolkata opposite the Gurudwara near SSKM hospital. The food is yum and very affordable. There is always a crowd that can be seen but you never have to wait for your food. The service is very good but because it's in a congested area the surrounding is not clean and hygiene.
If you really want to have a good tea this place is for you on off the best tea experience I have every time I visit here.
But for other items they are expensive you will get the same thing at other places at almost 60% of pricing of what they are charging best example is club kachori, which we normally get at Rs 20 per plate in most of the places around Kolkata but over here the same thing will cost you Rs 35 which doesn't make a sense to me.
Excellent taste of Tea, kachuri, Samosa, Jalebi. Sharma Tea branches are very less in numbers when it comes to near Howrah region / Howrah.its more available in Sector V and nearby.
