Sonajhuri Atithi Nibas (Durgabari)

Very amazing place, a place where you stay very close to nature.food is also very good. We stayed in tree house this was too amazing.

It was a very pleasant stay over there from 19th to 21st January. Madam Chitra Ghosh took the initiative of her own to prepare delicious food. Hospitality was superb. The location is very good, just beside Sonajhuri haat.

Nice place for a family trip. Lunch is highly recommend but try to avoid dinner and speciallly breakfast as they are the worst. This place is very close to the famous Sonajhuri hut.

Everything is fine, but the charges are quiet higher than available facilities. Without Sonajhuri Market, the place is totally silent. TVs are not in their rooms. But the views are pleasant. There are some other hotels and resorts like Ram Shyam and more on that line you can check,

If one is looking for a peaceful vacation, Sonajhuri Atithi Niwas is the best place to find some peace at Shantiniketan.

VERY SMALL ROOMS. The rooms are exorbitantly high priced and do not deserve more than Rs 800/room.

Nice location and nice environment. It is just by the side of the Sonajhuri Road and adjacent to the Sonajhuri haat.
The environment within the resort is excellent, well maintained and green. There is a Durga mondap within it. Food is available in the resort as per order. Breakfast, lunch, dinner all with veg and non veg options. In the lunch food is served in dishes and bowls of bell metal (kansa), a Bengali heritage.
Overall a nice experience for one night tour.

This is very peaceful and charming place. I enjoyed my holidays here. The whole ambience is serene.

Sonajhuri is the most pleasant place in bolpur.
The atmosphere of this place is outstanding and the santali song which is just awesome. Must visit place. One can also buy saree, bag, ear ring etc from sonajhuri hat.

Visited a few days ago. Didn’t expected but received Awesome behaviour, homely Host like elder Sister with awesome staffs. Close to Nature tasty food. Food were so tasty, pure n organic (their own firm), mouthwatering even now, even we ordered food as after long days visited my own home. Will visit again n ask friends to visit once.

Sonajhuri Atithi Nibas is located at a stone's throw from the Sonajhuri Forest, famous for the "Sonajhuri Haat". It is a home stay with few rooms surrounded with greeneries. For a short weekend break from the chaos of the cities one can come here and spend some leisure time. We availed the food inclusive plan which was indeed a wise decision. The food was really tasty and quantity wise it was more than sufficient. The owner, Mrs. Chitra Ghosh herself takes care of the home stay and she keeps an eye on everything. The homestay has a parking lot and the parking is free.
One can avail a "toto" for sight seeing. Vishwabharati, Shantiniketan, Kankalitala Mandir, Kopai river bridge, Surul rajbari etc. One can visit the Amar Kutir handicrafts store and also the Eco Tourism park from here.

I am speechless. I just realise what is the coziness of the lap of nature. Thnx chitra di dada and all the members of sonajhuri atithi nibas.

Good experience. Best place to stay for sonajhuri haat visitors. Food is little expensive.

The place is really calm food was homely need to improve the home room cleaning and at least one TV is need at dining

Excellent place to stay and hop around. The woman who is proprietor is very nice. But the service like food supply on dinner table or carrying luggages etc.are very slow.service boys and girls must be very swift at service. Beside of these food is very nice in taste but bit costly. Overall good to place to stay with family but in "off season".

We had a very bad experience here. We booked this place for two triple bedded room @2.5k each and during booking we were told that there is no tv in room. After arrival we came to know although the room sizes were fair enough but the toilet sizes will be maximum 4ft x 5ft including bath facility. So for a medium healthy person will face difficulty in moving. Secondly the bed has no mattresses. The bed sheets are full of dirt (means may not be washed after every use). In one room ac remote was not there and after repetitive request they could not arrange the same till night and we could not use the ac in one room. As we arrived on friday and other than us there was one more family so they put on any lights at night and it was full of dark.some repairing works going on and the lawn is filled with bricks and very difficult if someone is moving with children. Last but not the least there is no room service so everytime for any reason you have to get down from your room and have to find someone for any requirement or help as the owner leaves the place around 9 in the night. When we complained for no mattresses then she replied that have we mentioned in website that bed will be with mattresses or have we mentioned in website that there are room service facility available. They don't use mask, no sanitation no covid measures. Only will run after you for double dose certificates.

Guys please don't go by the positive review in their site. This is real experience just one day ago. So please think twice before choosing this place.

Excellent hospitality, rooms are very good and clean, foods are delicious and reasonable, staff and owner are very helpful and kind
