Old orthodox hotel. I made a call for room booking, the hotel management told that local ID cards are not enough, marriage registration certificate is also required. So to get a room visitors need to carry all marriage symbols, certificates, changed surname documents
It was a very refreshing experience after the din and bustle of a typical city life. The balcony was beautiful as I could see River Ichhamati unobstructed. The company of my childhood friends and erstwhile students made it more valuable.
Stayed 1 night in this hotel. Rooms are clean & well maintained. Service is also very good. But the food is mediocre. Bathrooms are also cleaned. Beds are big enough & also clean. Balcony available for every room. And it's almost beside the Icchamati River. Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. But one suggestion for the hotel authorities, please increase the quality of the foods.
Suhasini Guest House in Taki is very good guest house. The guest house is near Ichamati river. All types of rooms are available here. AC non AC rooms. Double bed rooms, triple bed rooms, rooms for 4 persons and 6 persons are available here. Some of the balconies of the house offer beautiful views of the Ichamati River. But it was not visible from where we were.
Service is very poor in this hotel. Only plus point is view. Brilliant river view from room. But toilet and room is in poor conditions, so there food. Very bad.
We spent the night at this guest house on 7th April 2023. Behavior of the staff was courteous. Cost of food was moderate and it tasted like typical bengali home cooked meal. Use of oil and spices was moderate. Service at the dining hall was prompt. We stayed in room 202 with a river facing balcony right next to the "I love Taki" logo. There are other accommodations around the river bank which are more tranquil. The fit, finish and size of the room and the attched bathroom were simply on the basis of what-you-get-what-you-pay. And this is true about every thing else of this guest house. What was beyond my expectation was that Taki was surprisingly clean, green and organized.
I'll be failing in my duty if I don't report another incident that happened at the checkout time. I wasn't able to take my car out of the parking lot because of obstruction of another car. When I informed the hotel staff about the matter, they told me that the car could not be moved aside because the Driver had gone out on boating trip. They couldn't help at the moment. When I said the boating might take one hour, as it normally does, they repeated that they couldn't help anyway. When I protested that they were being unfair and unresponsive to me, they stepped up their aggression and rudely told me that they couldn't help in the matter and that I was free to do whatever I wanted. The entire staff came out and wanted to shout me down and started to humiliate me in all possible ways. The fact that I was a senior citizen was no consideration for them. Then I asked for the hotel owner's contact no. They provided one but it wasn't what I wanted. Then one of their staff reffered to my earlier complaint relating to stif rotis and challenged me to visit the kitchen to see that they were using branded atta. When I did I found to my amusement none whatsoever barring a one kg unopened pack of Assirbad atta. Then a free flow of accusations and counter accusations followed. In the meanwhile, the obstructing car owner arrived and moved his car and I drove off and left the scene. The objective of this post is to alert prospective tourists to keep clear of such petty hotels and their illmanored staff.
Food was quote good - simple Bengali food, but delicious and well-cooked. The staff was well behaved and ready to help at all times. Only one suggestion would be to improve their wifi services
May not give you resort -like ambience, but its worth staying there. Rooms are clean, good view of river. Staff are eager to help you. Lastly food is lip- smacking, specially mutton curry.
