Sukna Railway Station (DHR)

Another lovely place to add in your list If you are traveler and is not familiar to the places in Siliguri.a destination where people come and go either for their duties of to become something great.

Another fascinating feature of this station is the toy train (a slow moving train). It is one of the uniqueness hilly areas can offer. Enjoy the slow and steady ride with your family, lover and friends by your side. Since it is slow.watch out for monkeys. (don't look into the mirror to find one)

A quaint heritage station on Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR). It is on the Hill Cart Road from Siliguri to Darjeeling. Ideally located to board the train if coming from Bagdogra Airport; unfortunately not sure if the daily service to/from Darjeeling has a halt there since online booking not allowed from Sukna, and also no commercial halts are shown of that train on any website!

It has a Heritage Gallery which is a must visit for tourists, specially if they are interested in Railways and related history.

অসাধারণ জায়গা।ট্রয় ট্রেন এর যাবার সময় এই স্টেশন এর পাশ দিয়ে গেছি। কাঠের সামগ্রী দিয়ে সাজানো পাহাড়ী ছোট একটি স্টেশন কিন্ত খুব সুন্দর।

Oh! What a location! What a creation! What a! Siliguri is my home town so I have visited this place many times. But every time I found the new look of this station. Situated at the foothills of the Darjeeling it is a awesome place. You can find your inner peace here. Very neat and clean station as well as the environment. Just 10 to 12 KM away from the main Siliguri town. Beautiful location. This is a unesco world heritage site. It's established by the British in the year 1881. I amm attaching the train schedule herewith. Train runs almost everyday if there is no natural disaster. You should visit the site at least once in your life. You will remember the site forever.

Dear friends when I was 23 yrs age for about 4 yrs I stayed in Sukna. I could find lot of changes in and surrounding places. Good development. I will never forget those days I spent in Sukna Khaprail Mirik Darjeeling Siliguri and surroundings When i go evening walk in sukna road i can not forget each and every inch. Baba choti chanda and sankar of one family members who had tea stall. The hospitality they show towards me i never forget.

Let's say it is the heritage. It's peaceful and yes it is beautiful. Located in the middle of Sukna. Not like every other railway station u get see the train. The station has its own time for their train. The station has some photos to display showing us about old times. The railway tracks lead all the way towards Junction station and then New Jalpaiguri.

Well maintained museum. Very informative place. You'll get to know history of Indian railway.

It's situated a little far from the crowds of Siliguri. It's a Himalayan Railway Station.
More Cleanliness should to be maintained here and many steps can be taken to make it more attractive and beautiful place.
