Summit Barsana Resort & Spa, Kalimpong

We stayed there for one day.my 2year old daughter loved the place. Almost all the rooms have mountain views.
Close to the main market at Kalimpong. Awesome property. It has a colonial feel. Rooms are spacious, well maintained and contain all the necessary amenities. Lots of open spaces to sit and relax. The restaurant is good, the food is delicious, though a bit costly. It has a kid's playroom, kids park with slip, swing etc. Overall a great place to chill.

Rooms were better than the tarrifs but their main income comes from the restaurant. Very expensive, plus they don't provide basic commodities for eating if we don't order from their restro. This policy is really disgusting. How can you not provide these? Whoever is your owner, you must look into it.

We visited this opulent slice of heaven amidst the hills on the eve of my wife's birthday. And indeed, it iss one of the best properties in Kalimpong.

We were speechless and awed by the beautifulorchestration of cake and decoration by the staffs. Especially Mr. Nashib Chetri deserves a special mention for his out of the box splendid idea of candle-lit dinner.

I would definitely visit this property again for their overwhelming hospitality and spacious accomodations, whenever I am visiting Kalimpong again.

Cannot give less than 5 star rating. It was one of the best experiences. From the luxurious room, friendly and helpful staff to the dinning experience, everything was perfect. The property is big and well maintained.

After an initial hiccup that was immediately addressed by housekeeping staff we loved our stay here. Rooms were clean and well looked after. Easy check-in and check-out. F&B were kind enough to pack us morning brekky for our journey back home. Emergency laundry was something that isn’t easy to come by and the staff were able to deliver on it. Liked the silent location in the middle town

Amazing resort! We loved our stay here. The view, food, ambiance, amenities everything was so perfect! Highly recommended.

Lovely resort especially since my room overlooked the kanchanjunga range and got fabulous sunrise and sunset pictures. The location is a bit of a challenge as its a steep uphill walk to the place where you can get a taxi to go anywhere. Don't recommend walking as there is no pavement to walk. Narrow roads with 2 way traffic!
The restaurant is very good and chef can give you whatever you want. We wanted Bhindi sabzi which was not on the menu. He was kind enough to make it for us and it was delicious. The service staff are very courteous and with a smile on their face. Have your meals at the restaurant rather than risk going out.
Only problem we had was hot water for a bath. The water runs out midway and could not risk having a head bath.
Hotel certainly has a British influence with the Bobbys standing in the lobby. Paintings are from Florence. Wooden structure is really a new thing in today's modern architecture

Worst hotel experience ever. We stayed in the room 210 (Premium Room with Balcony). Washroom was stinking, when I told the reception about the issue they provided the bottle of phenyl and ask to spray it at regular interval. Furthermore, late in the night there was an issue of water supply and also the flush was not working in the morning hours. I called reception at 6: 30am, receptionist blamed me that I should have checked the bathroom whether it was working. I told them to change the room 3 to 4 times but they deny that no room is available but I feel that is not the case. Person who provided the phenyl bottle told that there has been an issue with this room and management is well aware of it. Apart from all of these, there has been an continue issue of power cut off as well due to which we got late for the day.
I don't find any positive about this hotel. They have literally made mess of the mood and vibe of the vacation

Overall a good experience. They had arranged for a wonderful candle light dinner as well on our request. Rooms are beautiful. Service is good, but can be a bit more prompt.
The beds were cranky though, and should be improved.

It was a spacious room and food was very nice. But no lift with three floors. Our view from the room was looking into a neighbor property. Lots of dogs making noise in the night. The cleaning staff and kitchen staff are heard arguing unpleasantly.

As i come from managment background the service was excellent. It was my first experience at summit. Front office team Sir /Ma'am was superb. Everything was hassle free. They know how to take care of guests and treat them. Would love to visit again. Would rate them 5 out of 5 for thier lovely hospitality. Thank you summit for making my trip memorable. This resort is blissful and peaceful. Located in a quiet part of the town, this place is perfect for a quiet vacation where you need to relax and recharge. The staff have a genuine friendly smile which will make you smile back. Lovely place and I am thankful to the staff for making our stay beautiful.

I really liked the property. The stay was awesome. The view from room was eye soothing.
Service was great. Everything that we wanted were provided to us.
Food was mouth watering Since we were two we ordered two items which was full of taste.
Room was spacious with relaxing chairs in balcony and study table in the room.

Beautiful valley facing rooms a little away from the main market so you can enjoy peace and quiet. The rooms are so pretty and the service was good too. They have a pool table, table tennis and other games. They have a spa and restaurant. They also have a beautiful garden where you can enjoy the stars. Loved my stay there. But please don't navigate this place on map. It shows a very creepy and long way to the hotel instead of the main road. So kindly ask the locals they are very helpful.

The resort was very beautiful. The rooms were very beautiful and well furnished.
But the location from Kalimpong market is too much! If you are coming by bus you have to walk so much more to get here! And walking in a hill you can imagine how hard it is! And the food is too much costly so for dinner too you have to visit market.

Pathetic room service with a door which has no inside lock. Restaurant follows a strict time table which is not a helpful thing for the guests. The only thing that is good is the view of kanchanjungha from the room bed

Rooms & ambience is very good. Service & food very poor, also very overpriced. Location little bit outskirts from Kalimpong main city.

One of the best places to stay in Kalimpong. Big rooms and clean bathrooms with a balcony to enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains.

A bit away from Kpg Town. Has a parking, its peaceful with a spa and in-house restaurant.
The only big issue here is the Internet. Neither you get network nor does the in-house WiFi works.
So if you plan to go here be prepared for this

We went there last week 19th July.
The location is pretty nice and away from the main town so it is quite isolated but you will also get few daily need stores nearby for any emergencies.
Overall staff behaviour is nice and responsive if you ask for anything it will be done soon. The rooms were nice clean and spacious as well.

The only complain we had was with the kitchen as it was not up to the mark.

Spacious with a King size bed and the view from the balcony is awesome, good food quality, staffs are helpful, there is a park with a great view.

A small and congested lane
suddenly opens in a large plot and behold a beautiful hotel is in front. With Kanchenjunga at background, an old time bunglow and a modern building it is a small but very cosy complex. Staff behaviour and food is good. Nice stay for one/two days.

The accommodation and the food quality was very good.
Beware! Experience with Unique Travels - Kalimpong. Through Mr. Suman for cab booking was a pathetic experience. I request not to trust this guy. He ditched us at the last minute even after so many confirmations. We almost missed our flight.

It's a very good hotel.little bit far from city. Be aware of the booking. They have tendency to allot you family though you might booked a deluxe room. Family rooms are old room which different building. I have experienced that.

It was a fantastic stay at the resort. Beautiful place and beautiful resort. It was worth staying at the resort. The hotel staff is very humble and cooperative. Though, there was no celebration at Christmas time as I feel there is some lack in their marketing. But the resort is simply beautiful.

We stayed in the month of November, it was our wonderful stay. Though its not a big resort bilut Our rooms were very cozy and considerably large size and I think all the rooms are like that and having great view from balcony, and the resort is in quite good location and what I perceived during my stay, that this is the one the best hotel and location also to stay in Kalimpong. The scenic beauty of Kalimpong and Kanchanjung maximum range can be viewed from rooms, balcony and hotel lobby area also. The hotel have separate vehicle parking area, children play area. And the best part is it is not in the particularly city area and having a quiteness, it feels like a resort in the jungle area. Exterior is quite good.
Food was great and good taste, but breakfast can be improved.
I felt service is quite slow though all staffs were very courteous.
