Last year we have gone to Darjeeling. The location of this hôtel is very Nice to visit the city. Especially we have the Nice view of range of Himalaya that our family can not forget. Spécial thanks to all team workers. Really the great pleasure for us the adventure had started from Summit Gangtok then the Summit Kalimpong and the end of our trip at Summit Darjeeling.
The rooms and the heritage wing are in dire need of maintenance. View is good from all the rooms. The 4th floor deck is very nice. It is only a short walk to the mall, which is also a big advantage. The highlight and the sole reason for this rating is the staff and service of this hotel. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. They are warm and friendly and took care of any problem within minutes. The food at the Alpine restaurant also very good and the service by Karuna Thapa and her team is par excellence. Would go back here only for the staff and service.
This is a very spacious and open property, family rooms have the added open spaces which are really nice to have breakfast at. I tried the breakfast which was good, but since it's so well located, try Mall road joints. The staff is helpful, but not the best that I've witnessed, first my booking was dropped since i was out of coverage, then when I wished to arrive a day early and inquired for the room, the property wasn't interested in holding my booking longer than half hour, which they should have considered as I had already put a card on hold for. Overall good place to stay, rooms have good facility.
Spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, tasty food and above all well behaved staff. The live music during dinner adds more flavor and warmth to the restaurant.

The hotel is no doubt very good, nice location, nice rooms, awesome view of kachanjunga but sometimes their staffs are unpolite and rude and use abusive languages, which the owners need to take care. They also need to improve the quality of the wi-fi services in the hotel.
It was an awesome experience. We had a view of kanchenjunga from our room. It was wonderful. Also the service, quality of food was excellent. The location was perfect, just 10 mins walking distance from mall road. Absolutely worth the money. Definitely recommend it

It's a hostel rather than a hotel. No smoking, no drinking no food order at terrace. They has not mentioned about the smoke detector they have installed in every room anywhere in their booking website. Food is good and the view from terrace is beautiful but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone those who love to party and hang around. I have stayed in summit norling in gangtok as well and I have a beautiful experience their, same goes to Leela palace galeria banglore, la meridian coimbatore, fern hill sterling Ooty and sooo many group hotels all over India same goes to taj Bengal Kolkata, Hyatt regency Kolkata none of this hotels have such rules and regulations even in gangtok where smoking is almost prohibited summit norling provided compulsory ashtray in each and every rooms. Such a horrible experience I have got. The only thing which is good is the food and view from hotel terrace though it is easily available in some other hotels also.
It's a lovely property, specially the heritage wing of the property. At around 15 min walk from Keventer's. Service is like, you have to remind them everything to get that done, only bad thing. Breakfast buffet was ok, but the biriyani we ordered for dinner was soooooo bad.
Located 10 minutes walking from mall road. Very good behaviour of the staffs. Their customer service is absolutely mind-blowing.one one phone call they will be there for your service. They took good care of their guest.loved it.
Pathetic service. This calims to be a 4 start property but has services lower than a 2 star one. Ordeal day1: I checked in after a 8 hour journey at around 7PM and to mg surprise they cant provide a basic tea or coffee post 5.30PM.
Day 2: I come back from sight seeing at 5 and call to order tea and coffee at 5.15PM again i am tild they can't serve the basic beverage as some gala dinner is there.
Property has good valley view only from 8 rooms and there is no garuntee you will get one. Though i was lucky to get view room but highly disappointed with the service. Summit properties are off my lsit now.
Suggestion: Alot other properties offer similar view, try those and avoid this if possible.
Quite a nice place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights in the heritage building. The front rooms offer an expansive view of Kangchenjunga. Overall the rooms are cosy and comfortable. The service is very good and people are very polite. The outdoor sitting area is also a delightful place.
Only feedback from this experience is a lack of nonveg options in the breakfast menu. Overall, a very happy experience.
Everything was fine except washroom. It was too dirty.service was good.staff was good. Request Hotel management to see that they look after the cleanliness. Heater service was also available.
We stayed there for 2 nights 3 days and the experience was awesome! The view we got from our premium heritage room Tenzing and the live music in evening will be cherished forever. Dont know about other rooms but our room, washroom was clean and services were great!
View from the hotel was great, if you are lucky to get the room at the front side, you can see the mesmerizing Kanchenjunga from your room only. It has a wonderful rooftop to witness different shades of Darjeeling. Service was good, room was clean and airy. Food seemed decent. Overall you will have a good experience.
Mixed experience at Summit Swiss Heritage, Darjeeling. Location is on Gandhi Road which is OK. Rooms were good, but intercom facility in rooms was poor. If one wants to call Room Service, then ring goes but no response. View is good from limited rooms only. They didn't changed the room inspite of availability made me annoyed. However staff was polite and decent. Food served was good. Live music show is good. Recommended for staying.
The place is a perfect setup only if you get hold of the mountain view rooms.unfortunately, for me, they were sold out. I got a heritage room but my experience was a bit bitter. The linens were not cleaned properly with body hairs on it when we checked in. The washroom was smelly and there was a huge spider in the room. We checked in at 7 pm so I don't think there was any dearth of time to clean to room and deck it up properly. Also, the breakfast buffet had limited options.save yourself the bucks and have your breakfast at glenary's bakery. Would definitely recommend for the morning view though.
After spending a weekend here I must say that it was an amazing experience. My experience can summarized as follows -
Pros- 1. Room - I had asked for a room with view and received a deluxe room on the second floor with amazing view of the valley and the city. The weather was not good, hence couldn't enjoy the mighty Kanchenjunga in all her glory. 2. Food - Breakfast buffet was good and had decent number of choices. I ordered food from the in-house restaurant, and it was splendid as well. I would strongly recommend the salt and pepper fish. 3. Staff - Everyone has been highly courteous. I had planned for a candle night dinner on occasion of my anniversary and the staff went the extra mile by arranging a beautiful little cake.
Cons- Really nothing.
Would definitely plan to stay here during my next visit to Darjeeling.
The hotel is at a very nice location; 10 minutes walking distance from railway station. I loved the outdoor garden area space that they have, gives you a beautiful sunset view. We were unlucky sice the weather was foggy, or else you can even sneak a view of kanchenjunga from here. Rooms were nice and clean, loved the bed warmers. Since we were in the heritage rooms so the floor boards were a bit creaky but given the fact that it was so old it is understandable. Food was great. We had some family members who were unwell and they made some great khichadi which helped. Also we were really thankful to the staff who arranged medicines and cabs for us to make us comfortable. Loved the place and will book again if we visit darjeeling. (Withholding 1 star only because the room furniture arrangement could have been a bit better but otherwise it was perfect)

We stayed at Summit Swiss Heritage and had an awesome time there. The rooms were clean and the behaviour of the staff were very good. There are quite a lot varieties for breakfast and special mention to Sarita Thama, Niti and Kesar who has taken care of everything. We got a good view room, both the rooms have awesome room. Next time when we visit definitely we are going to stay there.
Hotel was good, but staff was not helpfull, house keeping is very very bad, breakfast menu was not sufficient, we booked deluxe room 6.5k per day, deluxe room bed size is very small for me, my husband and my 2yrs child, very much disappointed waste of money, plz dont book
Pros: 1. Prompt Service 2. Helpful n polite staff 3. Good food if you choose and instruct correctly (being a 4* hotel, they seem to be serve oil less spice less aka bland food so do instruct for some extra spice in specific items if you like it that way)
Cons: 1. Room is pure luck based. Which is bad honestly because there are certain which has windows but cannot be opened due to the setting. So it becomes really suffocating in those rooms.
Beautiful place, Lovely and memorable Heritage property, fully of wooden design with antique pieces. Must try SPA, has a pampering and nurturing Spa services.
I had a wonderful experience staying at this property by Summit Hotels and Resorts from 29th Jan 21 to 1st Feb 21. I had booked a Deluxe Room (with complementary breakfast) via Yatra and stayed at room no. 205 which was a view room (Kanchanjunga view).
Staffs and Services- 1. All the staffs are very well behaved and courteous. I was very much keen in getting a view room in order to get the Kanchanjunga view right from my hotel room. Room number was not initially assigned during my booking and I made a request for a view room once I had reached there. There are 10 view rooms available among the total 27 rooms and they kept my request and provided a room with the perfect view. 2. Also, their check-in time is 2PM and check-out time is 12PM, but I had reached early (around 11: 30 AM) due to my train timing and they made sure to provide the room (without any extra charges) at the earliest once the guests leave after check-out and cleaning & santisation has been completed. 3. For any kind refill (tea/coffee/water) or any room service they are very prompt. Just a phone call away.
Ambiance- This is huge property which has been established in 1914 containing variety of rooms as per your convenience. The whole property is very nicely decorated & has a beautiful lawn and huge terrace within it for relaxation and view. The in-house restaurant of the resort offers a wide range of cuisines. This Resort also has a Spa which makes the overall stay experience even more comforting. Mall road is located just 5 mins away and Darjeeling Toy Train Station is also within 150 metres.
Rooms and Facilities- They have Deluxe Rooms, Premium Heritage Rooms, Suite Rooms, Heritage Rooms and Cottages with premium facilities. Room was very much clean, spacious and having large glass windows to give crystal clear view of whole Mt. Kanchenjunga range. Room heater, geyser and hair dryer is also available to make your stay more comfortable.
Best viewable hotel.sevice is good, food quality also more than good bt price is little high. About room, one of the best viewable room in darjeeling, room size is suitable for 2, Room is not proper maintained, not clean also, you will feel disappointed when you will see the unfurnished wooden works like tv wall, portion of wooden window sides, back side wall of bed etc.room service need more professionalised.thats it Overall good, need more perfection bcs if all these will be solved & maintained the hotel positively then the hotel will be fabulous.

My recent visit to Summit Swiss Heritage Hotel & Spa definitely has turned out to be really amazing. The hotel is very close to Mall road. The staff were super helpful. Our room was lavish with all basic amenities. The property is beautiful and huge. The suite rooms are gorgeous. View from the room was also very nice. It was warm and cozy stay. Loved it, can't wait to go back!
We stay here for 2 nights. We book deluxe room but because of unavailability of good deluxe room they upgraded our stay to suite room for free. Morning breakfast was good. Overall room service and room quality is good. They have arranged candle light dinner in room as per our request. View From hotel is also very good not only Kanchenjunga but all the Darjeeling city. And taste of welcome drink (Darjeeling special Tea) is great curious about brand and flavours. Overall great stay thank you
