The location is really good, will give you a village like feeling. Food was homelike. Have space for kinds to play and ample parking.

This place is a cheat. They misbehave and cheat money. The owner and his wife misbehaved with us after we told them about some issues. They claim to have a pool, which they don't have. Bathrooms don't have hot water, ac remotes are not working, beds and blankets are not clean. Rooms are also overpriced. They don't have any bed tea. Servers are not effective and are not doing their work sincerely. Food is served cold and tastes very bad. The experience is not worth the price.

Not a good place to visit for the senior citizens, the place is small and not as it is claimed by the owners and lack facilities and proper amenities. The owners try to cheat money out of the visitors by threatening them.

Located in the vicinity of Kolkata at around 27Km from Newtown, Sundargram offers a nice gateway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We went for a family day out picnic with around 25 people and the entire day spent was well worth. The room provided was big enough for day use. The food was really very good prepared in a home made style. Overall, I would definitely recommend for a day out or even a night stay.

Just one & half hour drive from kolkata. Beautiful place. Calm, soothing, rooms are spacious, staffs are well behaved. Proper sanitization maintained

Awesome place.i was there on my anniversary 26th jan.
Food was awesome. We ordered two veg thalis, one mutton plate and one chicken plate. Mutton was very tasty. No item was over spiced.
Each staff were well behaved. Manager Mr. Avishek is too good.
It was little crowded till evening.

We went for a day picnic. Basically there was nothing in that place. Once u enter they have no warm welcome even they won’t guide u where to park your car (I guess no watchman also as I din c). We walk to the reception n the guy there looks so reluctant. Oh to mention before we called to their number n some irresponsible lady picked up the call n just couldn’t confirm our booking. Her attitude was terrible later from another friend we came to know the same experience. She would not give any information she would just say go thru the website n her phone is off from 5pm to 1130/12 pm at times. So once we had to cancel the date as slots were not available after all arrangements just coz of her mismanagement. Coming to the experience at their property. We got a room which had very very dirty toilets we had to call people to clean it. Rooms had spider webs. N then we went out to the small pond where they charged 100 rs for each fishing rod. But I never saw anyone helping or catching any fish.basically the management is not bothered what is happening or what the guests want. So after that we went for lunch. They just gave the thali n disappeared. We had to shout for rice or any other food as all were inside kitchen. Coming to food. It was 3/10. We took chicken thali. Chicken was hard. Other veg items were not that tasty n less salt. We ordered additional Daab chingri it had only oil n no gravy. The chingri malai curry was just average n egg curry was ok. That’s it no other thing to do there no other activity to do. We entered around 1245 n started back by 4 pm. So in short it’s not worth the time, money and of course the attitude of staffs from receiving calls to dirty washrooms to poor food quality. I just gave two stars for the village aura around.

This Resort better for aged person.
Strongly not recommended for younger, for family no such kind things.

We took one night break as I was visiting nearby office and it was well spent. We stayed at Antar Mahal. Full green. Food was tasty, not much on breakfast menu, Lunch and Dinner was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay. And planning our next visit. Not far from city, just 1 hour and 20 minutes from my home.

We came here for 1 day picnic, the staff was good and the service was also prompt. The mud house was also nice and well maintained. The surrounding area were scenic with good views. Overall we had a great time and would like to revisit.

One of the best places for dat out in wonderful ambience. Quality and presentation of foods are very nice. Staffs are well behaved. Entire area was neat and clean.

Room: Okay but definitely not worth 3000 for a day trip. At that price, we expected the room and bathroom to be cleaner.

Ambience and settings: The best and the only part of the property that we liked. Mud huts, rural settings - the resort is carefully given the rural Bengal touch. It blends nicely with the surrounding rural settings. So, it's an escape from the city life for some hours.

Service: Bad. Staff seemed reluctant and just going through the motions.

Food: Pathetic. We ordered the mutton and chicken dishes. Bad taste, served cold and the quality of the items was pathetic.
If you ask for my opinion, at a pocket-pinch of close to 5500, it's definitely NOT value-for-money. There are better places.

It's location is beautiful. Surrounded by agricultural lands. Literary village, away from locality.

Best place to visit for dayout. Food quality is excellent. If anyone want authentic bengali cuisine then i must say this is on of the best place.

It's a nice place to stay and hangout with your family and friends. Nicely decorated. Although the place is small but nice. Few cottages are there to stay in. Staffs are well behaved and well mannered. You will surely enjoy over there.

This is a very nice place to stay for 1-2 days. The behavior of the staff here is very good. Perfect place for those who love secluded environment. Overall it's a very nice place.

One of the worst places we have ever stayed so far…. Very small property…. Very shabby and ill maintained…. Food and even the utensils in which they were served were not up to the mark, Staffs were helpful though ; will not recommend this place to anyone.

Great place for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city and in the laps of nature. A real feel of village life in Bengal. But the management needs to work on the maintenance of the rooms and specially the toilets very seriously. Also the quality of the food needs to be improved. When the food charges at par with that of a good restaurant in the city, people also expect the quality to match up to it. The management should seriously consider the number of day-outing groups that it will entertain because such groups create strain on the infrastructure which has be borne by the boarders.

One of the worst resort to stay. Very bad experience. Poor service and staffs are rude. Prices are too high and quality of the food are not well. Bathroom is simply horrible.
A strict NO for any future stay

First of all, the lunch was absolutely horrible. All the dishes were watery, completely unacceptable for such price. Secondly, and most importantly, there is NO SECURITY whatsoever for the huts. Besides, the doors and windows are of poor quality. Only pomp and no real security. Finally, really poor value for money. I really am not sure why this place has such high rating.

This is a narrow stretch of land developed as an eco tourism park kind of thing with a natural water body, a small grass yard and 10 hut shaped room. Though the place is reasonably decorated at a glance but the feel good factor ends right there. The property is managed by a bunch of unprofessional and unskilled staff whose behaviour is pathetic and lethargic. From the booking office to reception to the kitchen there is no co ordination. The condition of room is horrible. There is absolutely no maintenance, be it torn and holed bedsheet, stinking blanket, dirty dusty furniture, ceiling fan, toilet wherever you see you will regret every moment.
The only good thing is the food which is tasty and decent portion though overpriced.
Overall a terrible experience and would advice everyone to avoid this place.

All over atmosphere food staff behavior are very much good. Place decoration also very impressive.

Good place for a weekend vacation. As it is one and half hourc to Kolkata hence many people plan dayout also. Nice food if you are staying in night barbq chicken is must try. Only thing I would suggest to the property is better maintenance.

Nothing special here. Very much ordinary village type resort. Too expensive. Its a trap for rich people. Better to go other places.

From Kolkata science City one can proceed via basanti highway and after crossing Ghatakpur proceed another three and half km then take right turn and proceed further 1.5 km and reach sundergram. The name of the resort is sundergram but the name of the village is Rajendranagar. The surrounding of the resort is only open farm land and nearby there is a village. The room tariff is very high compared to the place. The food they supply is good.

Charges are high compare to the service they provide. Staffs are untrained, hospitality and politeness are missing from every staff. Maintenance part also not up to the mark.

Such a waste of time. Never ate such bad quality foods. Sabby rooms and dirty washrooms. Pathetic

Wonderful experience, rustic stay, excellent cottages, mouthwatering food. It is totally a different experience in a rural environment of untouched village life.

If u r looking for a relaxing weekend where you would just chill and do nothing, then this is the place to be! Located in a quaint neighbourhood, surrounded by lush paddy fields, this place is the perfect getaway bear the city which makes you forget about the city life! Good food, friendly staff, clean rooms at a reasonable price, what else can we ask!
My only complaint is the lack of swimming pool and the lack of anything to do here (literally!)

Never ever visit this property one of the worst homestay. They don’t provide with any hygiene. Toilets are untidy rooms are untidy spider web all over. The quality of food is also worst.
The chief doesn’t know how to cook.

Very beautiful nature surrounding the resort, nice place to visit for refreshing your mind. I went there on 19th nov 21 for day outing, breakfast and lunch, (2 plate mutton, 1 plate prawn with veg thali) charges Rs. 1650 for 3 persons. Room service is not available, others service should be better, my overall experience is very good.

A beautiful place very nearer to Kolkata, full environment of village with modern facilities you can get with very reasonable rate and you can spend whole the day or can stay a night also with yourself or anybody / everybody else.

We went for a day tour. Ambience is great but room maintenance, serving, and food was not good according to the price. We found spider’s net many places in our room. Toilet was stinky. There was no mirror in the room. But they charge quite high for few hours.

It's a nice weekend destination. The place offers serene stay with tasty food and some fishing activities. The ingredients are fresh and the food tasty. Overall makes for a nice experience.

We were at Bodhi, a 5 beded room costs 5000 including GST.
Staffs behaviour was not bad but cold. We had to take our own luggage to our rooms, off course we did not ask for any help when found no one came forward for that.
Reception was almost always an empty place.
No intercom system within the premises. We had to use our personal cell phone to call for any help.
No quality control. We had to change our room AC remote controller cells after a long search for a person to do that since reception was empty.
Room's bathroom is a 4 ft by 6 ft (approx) place with a wash basin of 10 inch by 8 inch (approx). Water pressure was extremely low that you cannot use commode shower although it was there. Bathroom was dirty. One of the picture here was showing a beautiful toilet which I could not find here.
Although lunch timing is up to 15: 30 hrs but when we arrived at that time, was been served with cold food which we made hot after a small struggle. Nothing to say about food test since it was nither good nor bad. Complementary breakfast was slightly better, served luchi, torkari and boiled egg. Please do not ask tea at the restaurant. I can bate that you won't be able to consume it fully.
The in-room tea facility was such that I could not even dare to touch that.
Most importantly, this place officially has got no room service facility (except for child and old people).
Did not see a single drop usage of sanitisation anywhere although found many "SAFETY FIRST" placards.
In my experience, visiting there was a waste of money and time for me.

A nice place. It is situated amidst nature and has a rural touch. The place is not vast rather narrow but it would fill the heart with peace and pleasure. Since there is not much space its better to try this place out in weekdays when there is not much rush or it will feel congested.
The room we got, "Dotara" is spacious, but thereare cobwebs. Needs proper cleaning. The wash room is okay.
The food is good. But the staff was not wearing any masks or gloves.
The barbeque was awesome. For the first time we experienced this thing and we are more than happy.
However the reason I gave 2 stars less is the mosquitos. They are in crores there. Please take along with you whatever mosquito repellant you can think of or they will carry you off. Mosquito nets are provided but there are no proper pegs. So please ask the room service perso n to make the bed with the net or the night will be horrible.
Except the mosquito part the place is a nice one. Good to spend a day or two in the lap of nature.

I went with my friends and really loved the place all together we had lot of fun and masti. The place us beautiful and lunch we had was good.

End of confusion of many bad reviews. We came from Patna with family and elderly parent. Indeed a good place and homely food. Suggest management to provide some dresscode for such humble staff.

Waste of money, nothing else.

I received call from Sundar gram one day before for next day lunch order. Up to this point, all are fine. After reaching there, we come to know that the road condition is too bad and road work is going on for last 3 days and we have to leave our car 2km before the resort.
They can take order for tomorrow’s lunch but doesn’t bother or haven’t responsibility to inform us whether we are fine to leave our car to such unknown location which is 2km far from resort for entire day+night.

We find Water of the pond is too muddy and no maintenance. Foods are too costly and not up to the mark as per price, Cats and dogs are wondering in the kitchen and dining places. Room and bathroom are even too dirty and full of insects (cockroach, Gecko, lizard). Can’t sleep entire night for a fear of snakes.

This has been a great experience. The ambience, food quality and beheaviour of the staffs are too good. Thanks to god that foolish t v box is not kept to maintain the village ambience and silence

In my few past I stayed more than 100 hotels in 4 countries but last 2days memory is really excellent at SUNDARGRAM. Beyond resort amenities staying and all the things STAFF BEHAVIOUR IS EXCELLENT. Food is also awesome. Service is also excellent and every time they serve with smile.

Nice resort located near Ghatakpukur, on the way to Sinderban, West Bengal.replicate a nice small rural Bengal village with pond, thatch roof cottages, domestic animals and trees and plants amidst paddy field.

Nice weekend stay at nearby rural space. The place is cozy with rural touch in every aspect of daily lives. The staffs are helpful and supportive. A worth mentioning effort by WB government for a short outing near the urban life of Kolkata.

About one hours drive from Science City, this is a nice place to spend the day or may be an overnight stay. Food is good and reasonably priced. However the place is very small and nothing much to do. If you have small children then be aware that there is not much for them to do. There is also an open pond so if you have to be careful. The place is so quite and peaceful that you easily forget that you are so near the city. You can also arrange a picnic in this place.

Very calm and quiet place, not that far from our busy city. Food is really good. Service quality is good. One night stay is recommended for individuals or family.

It was a pathetic place, complete waste of money. We visited this place on 14th July, 2019. Our check in time was 11am but we did not get a room untill 1pm. The food was inedible. All of my friends (all ladies) including me got ill after consuming their food. We got severe food poisoning. Poor behaviour. They didn't even serve water. The room ' akash' had insects all over the bed and bathroom. The a.c. Was not working at all. We complained but no one bothered. And to top it all we felt extremely unsafe. They locked us in the room, we shouted forgone hour then one maid came to rescue. Extremely creepy staff. PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK OF GOING THERE.

Very near to city. First of all, if someone is expecting a lot to do (keeping in mind its a resort), you will be disappointed. Its a decent place in middle of a village with all necessary facilities, but that's it. Its a small property, specially the width is very narrow. Rooms are fine, equipped with fridge and AC, both work good. Some rooms have water leakage problem from ceiling. It has a small pond, which is not clean, so taking a bath in the pond is not a choice, better it should be converted into a small swimming pool.
Service is again very much average. The best part is their food quality within normal price.

I would suggest people for day picnic in winter.

Place is excellent, plotted in an outskirt but you will love the ambience. Rooms will mersmerize you. Service provided by them was good enough.

Its only 40 Km drive from Kolkata and its so different than our usual life. Lash green paddy fields just a step from your mud house its something cannot be described in words. Moreover the nights are silent, serene. If silence and nature is something you are thriving for this one could be one of the best destination. Food is awsome and price is standard. Staffs are very helpful. In one word a day with full of nature and oxygen and green.

30 kms from science city in the middle of paddy field, u will get all modern amenities and feeling of village at a reasonable price of 2000/- with complimentary breakfast. Evening u can enjoy barbeque chicken @500/-, and baul music @ 2000/-. Food is tasty and simple.only issue is slow service and mosquitoes.however they provide nets in the room. Overall nice weekend gateway.
