It's a resort in nature's lap. Absolute pristine beauty. Keep in mind the roads to the hotel are treacherous. So if you are self driving and unable to negotiate curves then call the hotel for their service. They will help you. The most beautiful rooms are the cottages which are on slopes and are isolated from the main building. If you are staying in the main building look for valley view rooms. The property is beautiful, you can sit on the couch looking at the hills and flip through your favourite novels while sipping in the first flush darjeeling tea, or venture out the 20 acre property, or savour the hospitality of Taj Chia Kutir. The staff here are extremely good and provide prompt services. The property also has a temperature controlled swimming pool so don't forget to pack your swimming costumes. Overall a superb holiday destination. You can also visit the nearest Kurseong city and visit the Hanuman top, Dow hills, the pine forests and the chimney where you can have beautiful veg and non veg momos in a local home. Don't forget to stop your car in the pine forest and enjoy the beauty of nature, capture your moments along with the floating clouds. It's a 4 hour journey from the hotel visit the city and the surroundings and then back to the hotel. Enjoy your trip
This place is exquisite. Beautiful views of the valley. The tea tasting session was amazing with storytelling and opened my eyes to a different world of teas (do not miss this). Great breakfast spread. The staff is very professional and alert. They did a great job of decorating the room for my wife's bday. Also, kudos to the bartender for preparing exquisite tea based cocktails. The one infused with elderflower is one of the best we ever had (must have and recipe please Taj people if you are reading this).
An extraordinary property as you would expect out of a Taj Resort. The property is surrounded by tea plantations all around. They have a variety of activities for kids and adults while you stay with them. They do have a tea factory tour from the resort starting at 10 am. They also have a tea plantation walking tour as well. You primarily have 2 room options, one facing the valley and the other facing the tea plantation with different room categories. The property is located in kurseong, so you are 1 hour drive away from the Darjeeling town.

A week ago, I visited this place with my aunt. Starting from the warm welcome by Mr. Anil and Ratan till the restaurant services were excellent. I am very grateful to Ratan who patiently gave us a property tour. The view was breathtaking. Must visit the place. Thought the buffet spread was finite but the service was prompt. Very courteous staff: Ms. Prerna, Rishi, Banik, and Sudhir made our breakfast experience remarkable. We enjoyed it a lot! Kudos to the entire team! ️
The property has amazing views of the valley. The rooms were great with a nice sit out area. The breakfast and dinner buffet at their restaurant had a wide spread and was very delicious, with lots of options for kids as well. Though we thought the hospitality and warmth was a bit lacking on our first day of our stay, the staff did try to make up for it and were courteous and helpful during the remainder of our stay.
1. First thing first, one goes to such kind of property for peace but doors of each and every room are so noisy that early in the morning all doors makes such a loud noise while closing that you can’t finish peaceful sleep. And I had given feedback of this to guest service and even told them to adjust door closer speed but after living her for 7 days this was not sorted out. 2. It is relatively new property so there were lack of amenities in pool/steam washroom like I didn’t see towels, comb hair dryer any kind of moisturizer nothing. 3. Even in room there are lack of amenities like writing pad and pen. Which I think is very important. 4. Rooms are not sound proof you can hear people walking & talking in passage, from other rooms

Loved our week at the Taj Chia Kutir. The location is beautiful, echoed in the buildings and decor. Everything felt welcoming, luxurious and designed for comfort. The staff were great - friendly, attentive. Absolutely somewhere we'd like to return to for relaxation, tasty food, and excellent spa treatments.
Situated in The Lap of Hills This Very Resort From Taj Groups Is A Place To Experience. The Chilly Weather of Kurseong After Dark With The Ultimate Coziness of Luxury This Resort Brings Is Unmatchable. A Bit Pricey Though But The Experience One Gets of Comfort & Luxury Along With The Beauty of Hills Is Unparalle.
The stay experience was great. All the staff was very courteous and helpful especially Mr. Reo was very helpful and took care of whatever we needed. Mr. Akshat, Suvarna were all very helpful
The staff are so warm and friendly and go out of their way to see that you are comfortable. Right from Restaurant to reception to pool to gardener all are so hospitable and that's the Tajness we expect. The property is located having a full view of the Kurseong town situated on the mountain opposite. The rooms are spacious, although I recommend the Villas. Noteworthy mention is the Indoor Heated swimming pool, so well maintained for this region! The pool attendant is very sweet and helpful. Everything is immaculate from rooms to lobby to common areas and gardens. You must choose the short trek about 1.5 - 2.5km into the Tea estate and forest, which is soul touching and refreshing too. LOTs to do, be it wonderful trekking trails inside forests and tea gardens, see stunning views of snow capped Kunchendzonga, enjoy the Jiva spa, do day trip to Darjeeling, or visit some really nice Monasteries close by.
The staff is very warm and hospitable. The food has a classy and one gets to sample the wonderful local cuisine.

Awsum resort and brand new resort.we stayed here for 3 nights, found it to be very relaxing, staff was super nice and customer oriented, food was very good and they had live performance at dinner, indoor pool was nice and heated. Steam area was again very good, whole resort was very well maintained.we would like to acknowledge few staff who went way beyond and gave us exceptional service surajit giri (chef) who made us delicious food every day according to our needs, Anshuman, Alina & Neha for their service.

Property is spectacular. However front desk staff didn’t meet the expectations. This place is bit remote and that is the beauty of it however checkin staff could have briefed us on what can be done/recreation during the stay.they didn’t inform where or what we can do around this area like morning plantation tour etc and we ended up spending whole of our stay merely sitting at the hotel.

Almost all facilities were great! Loved to spend time with family members! Location is refreshing with clean air and great view. Not far away from the airport so easily reachable.
Absolutely incredible stay at Taj Chia Kutir. The property is in the middle of lush tea gardens and rises among the clouds with beautiful views on the mountains all around. However the special mention is for the warm, hospitable, sincere and hard working hospitality team. We had a wonderful time in the restaurant with Chef Mukesh’s team taking great care with the food, and Rio, Ashis, Rahman and Souvik going out of their way to serve us. We went on hikes with Dayan and his colleagues and felt for a brief moment that we belonged to the neighbouring villages of Kurseong. I cannot recommend this property enough for a family holiday, and we cannot wait to be back to enjoy the hospitality once again!
