Food quality is so poor.
Specially mutton curry is worst. Chicken is also not good.
Fish items are damn good. Suggest you not to try meal or dinner here.

Very good staying arrangements with reasonable charges. Located very close to the river. Have a very good restaurant. Quality of food served is very good. The staffs are very much helpful and cordial.

Overall rooms are average at cheap rates and the location is awesome, one can enjoy the river view from the balcony.
PS: They only allows a family for staying in one room

This is a close by location from Calcutta city, in the Northern outskirts of Calcutta it's about 90KMs distant place beside the River called Ichhamati and in a distance of 2 nautical miles from Taki there is a junction of 3 Rivers separating the Bangladesh from West Bengal, India through the middle of the river Ichhamati for the International border and Partision line.
The Best thing of this place is Cerenity and Calm and very tranquil atmosphere and riding boats in the river up and down stream and Fish etc.harvwsted from the river and a very tasty and Busy Restaurant which serves all the meals and food requirements which are mostly Bengali cuisine & Recipies and matching palets.

It's very very good place for tourist and it's guest house staff is also good behavior and food is also good

Standard accomodation and food. Do not expect luxury or too much cleanliness. Breakfast and lunch extremely mismanaged despite pre-booking. The items ordered were not available despite the manager confirming head count and food order previous night. Touts were busy accomodating tables for outside customers whole genuine boarders were delayed and denied food. Tables had to be arranged by ourselves after a bit of shouting. Even tea was not served with breakfast despite ordering. Garden and playground open for public. Choose this place only if you are looking for cheap day out options. The fish served with lunch was good.

It is in taki. Basirhat. Nice place to visit in weekend. You can get there cold wind and a beautiful view of ichamati river

Loved it! The hospitality was appreciable, rooms were comfortable for the cost. Directly opposite the waterfront with park benches overlooking the water. With a nice garden and nearest to food joints and boating plaza as well. Overall great experience.

I availed restaurant service only. Food was good. The service personnel were friendly. Though there is scope for improvement in cleanliness and overall ambience. The place is popular among the tourists because of tasty food and low cost.

We had visited during Durga Puja on Dashami. We had lunch here. Food was good and simple cooked. Pocket friendly as well. But the cleanliness could be better. Tables and wash basin were not clean.

Location, behavior of staff and food facilities are very good. River facing rooms are good. Furnitures are average. Toilet is not up-to-date and needs improvement.

Taki Guest house is situated on the banks of Itchamati River. The landscapes there is just wow.
Taki Guest house is a Govt. Run Guest house with Good Rooms and Good Food both in reliable price. Actually this place is famous for Serving Authentic Bengali meal in cheaper price than other hotels. If you are decided to visit TAKI then don't worry about food that will be done from here. And if you wanna stay then that also can be arranged here.

Very good place. This is one of the cheapest and good accommodation in Taki according to my knowledge. From this place view of the river was awesome. Room size was also larger than other hotels. This is only one government accommodation for public. You can book your day and enjoy. Food services is also available here. You can order varsities of fishes for lunch and dinner they can provide you. I am cutting 1 star for cleaning. It have to look by the authorities.

The Taki municipality guest house is in prime location and is in walking distance from Raajbari Ghat. Though we didn't stay but we had breakfast lunch and dinner there. If one want to taste the best of Taki at reasonable price this is the best place. From ghee bhat to Parshe, Rui, Mutton, Chicken whatever we tasted all tested homely and amazing. Mr. Sambhu Santra who attended us was very cordial in approach.

We didn't stay there. We were there in the restaurant and ordered fish thali. 1bhetki, 1pomfret, and 1pabda thali. 150/- per thali, with unlimited rice, sabji, and dal, 1long brinjal fry, and chatni. Everything was fresh, and delicious.serving was quick and hearty.

Food is very inexpensive simple and good in taste. Will definitely recommend to go check this place if you are in taki and looking for lunch. Very near to tourist spot just walking distance. Veg plate for just Rupees 50 for lunch and nonveg for 120 rupee. Taste is just like home feels like raw Bengali food.

They should increase the sitting capacity during lunch hours on weekends. Its the only decent place where tourists can have lunch near ghats. Other restaurants nearby provide fast foods only. Only Taki municipality guest house provides bengali thali. Varities of fish are as follows- parshe, rui, katla, vetki. Chicken and mutton are also available in their menu.

The view from here to the surroundings are wonderful, since it is very close to the banks of the river Icchamati. The cost of booking a room is also suitable, although perspective may differ in case of accommodations.

Best place for stayal in taki. Especially the food is awesome. The rooms are old and not well maintained though.

Good place to enjoy among nature as a weekend holiday. My friend & Dada-Boby Da & Boudi is there who runs the place! Reasonable rates for rooms. Starting from Rs: 300/-. Riverside eating houses are there-Bidhan Saikat-1 & 2. Places to visit-The village, General Shankar Roy Chowdhury's ancestors house, Mini Sundarbans & Golpatar Jungle. Enjoy the lovely boat ride Rs: 30/- each person to see the Machhranga island. You can buy Nolen Gur from the village Rs: 100-120/-per Kg. Have local famous sweets at Chowringhee More near Taki Railway Station-Makha Sandesh/Malpoa/Mihidana etc. (মাখা সন্দেশ/মিহি দানা/মালপোয়া)

Location wise it's good but for poor maintenance present standard is poor. Behaviour of the staff is so so. Food quality is also average. Overall experience is not very good. Authorities should take about the cleanliness and daily maintenance. There are a lots of new private properties at present though I didn't have any experience of these properties.

Awsome place. Front side of Ichamati River Side (Taki, India Bangladesh Border), Awsome View from this Guest house. Peaceful Location. Perfect place to Organise a One day trip.but Taki Road is not good for traveling in a Bike. Need to improve the Taki Road. Other wise I gave five star for this Location?

We did not stay at this hotel because rooms were full. However, we had lunch here. The food was great. Proper bengali style food was available.
The location is also nice. But be sure to book it well in advance.

Best place to rest and watch river Ichhamati flowing in it's own accord. The other side of the river- Satkshira district of neighbouring country Bangladesh, is clearly visible from the upper balconies, the front courtyard is spacious enough and decorated, having a temple in it and a beautiful sculpture will greet you at the entrance. Staffs are generous and cordial to serve you good foods are just waiting to please the visitors

Never Visit this place.if you ask for a cup of tea in the morning.will serve after 9am.after so many follow ups. Staff behaviour acceptable but if you ask for anything urgent they will not serve.

Maintenance is the prime concern here.it’s a good facility but not liking owing lack of maintenance.

In spite of great location it very poorly maintained, cobwebs and spiders in the badly maintained toilets, no extra power plug even to charge one mobile, practically no service even on reaching there one has to shout for receptionist who kindly comes to take the money and get the register signed and disappears in a adjacent room to watch TV or play cards. You will get tired for requesting to get water jug in the room. Pillows are almost paper thin and the mattresses are almost again cottonless are hard. Dining arrangements are on contract basis. Moreover, at the dining hall the web sickles, about 4/5 inches long are hanging under the dining tables, food is served on dishes made out of sal leaves (plastic coated paper, which are most unhealthy). Polite complaints lodged are of no use, so many written complaints are resting peacefully in the locked box but never been gone threw. The chairman, it seems, is unperturbed and quite aloof oblivious of the payers suffering. Food quality and taste is so so.

This guest house is oldest residential lodge municipality. Once it was only guest house at Taki beside the river Ichhamoti. At present maintenance is very poor.

Nice place to visit. It's not that popular. Local people's use to come here in leisure to have some nice healthy gentle breeze from the river. This area is generally more crowded in the morning and afternoon session. Anyone can visit freely single, couple, with group of friends doesn't matter.

Only Location and Food quantity is good. But service and quality of rooms are very very poor. Lack of maintenance.

This is the worst guest House we had ever visited before. The service of their restaurant in their premises is too poor. They do not mentain any food quality actually they made one type of cheating to serve the same food we ordered. Never think to visit here

Very bad service, Room condition is not good, AC not working. TV not getting power on after check in into the room.after complaining technician came at evening (details you can understand from the pictures). Also all service boy of the guest house including food servicing staff (though guest house authority outsourced the food arrangement to a third party) asking for "boksish".

Staffs are courteous but service is poor. Also housekeeping needs drastic improvement. Room rent and dishes are cheap but don't expect any fresh fish from the river.
