Its a authentic shop for locals in Kolkata. For us it is way better than Haldiram. It has many outlets in Kolkata. My personal favorite is Raj Kachori from the store.
They are one of the best non-Bengali sweets or nimki items on Bangla. I love their laddoos, singara, barfi, sonapapdi, Besides, too many more sweets are available. They use desi ghee in their desserts. My very favorite place for sweets items.
This one is not the main one. We had lassi and papri chat and it was not bad but it was not too great either. The lassi was way too thick and was not sweet. They did not even give the kheer on top. The chaat was not bad but the green chatni felt off and thus the whole taste was off. For a sweet shop this big it was disappointing.
The food is delicious. It is pure vegetarian without onion and garlic but the taste is heavenly. The plain dosa was crispy chutney was very good and the sambar was warm and comforting. Loved it.
One of the oldest food chain in Kolkata. The main branch is in Bara Bazar. The best thing about this shop is they use Desi ghee. However the price is really high for even snacks. The sweets, laddoss, and soanpapdi is really tasty. Don't miss whenever you are in Kolkata. You will get tasty samosas. They maintain the quality but they have to upgrade with time.
