The Candlewood Park Beach Resort

Cleanliness & room conditions are pathetic to say the least…Disappointed…Not worth the money spent…Apart from Location, everything else is very ordinary…Food Service is equally bad…Ordered Lunch an hour back…However upon not receiving the order when went to the restaurant, they said no order were made from that particular room. Horrible service.

Stayed in Room 203, Conifer, the room needs serious maintenance and cleaning, there were spiderwebs in the bedside area, only plus points were the service and that the location of the resort is quite close to the main Mandarmani Market, better to opt to stay at there Forresta area

One of the best resort in Mondarmani. Just beside the beach. You can enjoy beach even in the night from hotel balcony. Stuff are good. Only thing missing is swiming pool.

There is a serious issue with the maintanace of the horltel. I have been there many times but i am observing there is no maintanance of the rooms of the hotel for the older part. Service is good and behaviour of the staffs are excellent.

Location was fabulous.the room we got.was amazing. If we'll talk about hygiene staff, then we would love to say that room was completely hygienic and we got well comforts, but yeah they need to improve electricity stuff, the AC had in that room need to work properly also electricity was gone for two or three minutes, but I would love to say that the room service was amazing if we'll talk about food that was also delicious. We enjoyed wonderful time near Sea beach. The Hotel have nice seating area near Sea beach.and in the end I would love to say that, yeah we enjoyed our time at this hotel. This is nice place for staying and chill stuff for one or two nights.

One of the best high to mid-range resorts in Mandarmoni. Offers an unparalleled stay amidst nature. Good food, efficient staff and service. Highly recommended.

I heard about this place lot of times. But what I experienced this week that was so disappointing. During this COVID situation hardly they are following any COVID protocol. No thermal screening, no vaccination certificate check, no sanitization, even they weren't wearing mask all the time during our interaction.
Next thing is room service. We stayed 2nights. And they didn't even clean our rooms or the lawn infront of our rooms in these 2 days. We asked for it multiple times, but looks like there is a shortage of staffs in this hotel.
Last not the least negative thing is their food. Food taste is not up to the mark compared to it's popularity.
So i would say if you are thinking of booking this hotel during COVID period. Think It twice. In this price range there are so many options.and i believe other hotels in this price range would be better. But can't say for sure.

The manager behaved very badly regarding check out timing. They didn't allow even 1hour late check out though there was no one waiting for check in on Sunday. Food was ok but maintenance was very bad. Not satisfied with their house keeping.

Overall good experience. On the beach, somewhat good service. Great sitting arrangements by the sea shore where they serve the food also. Spending time by the sea in the evening is a great experience. Rooms are very spacious.

Things to improve: food quality is not good, rooms are not very clean.

This resort has it's own private beach, it's beautiful, peaceful, away from crowd. Rooms are good, clean bathroom. And the best thing is it's food quality. Foods are very tasty. Surely visit again.

Best place to stay at Mandarmani, good food and great hospitality. Sukanta was very kind and on his toes to serve as quick as possible.

This has become our preferred accomodation at Mandarmani.

Beautiful resort. Entrance is from the road side and not from beach. Car Parking facility is available on the opposite side of the beach road in a private parking lot. Food quality is good but is a bit costly.
Rooms are good and so is the seating area infront of the beach.
It is pet friendly.

The best part of this hotel is the sea view and beach access. There are few rooms on 1st floor, few on ground floor. However, only 1 or 2 rooms on 1st floor provide sea view from room, others provide side view from balcony. Not sure if you can view sea from ground floor rooms. Executive AC rooms are quite spacious. Beach is hardly 50mtr walk. They have made seating arrangements by the beach side huts. It's the best place to spend evening with live tandoori counter and good variety of drinks.
Food is not that great but still moderate. You can request for candle lit dinner at beach side. They arrange bon-fire on request, obviously with some extra spent.
Hotel staff are very polite and helpful. Would like to come here back again.

To start with, the staff behaviour was pathetic to say the least. The rooms were dysfunctional, the food ordering and delivery time is between ages.they take full amount in advance and then you are on your own to adjust with everything they throw at you. Starter's rate is unreasonably high.lastly they charge you even if you meet an accident in the room.
My friend got injured with one of their dirty jug and still have to pay rs 300 without any compassion for the injured.please don't stay.

It was nice experience staying at this nice property. They allow pets too. The food was good and they have a kebab stop which opens in the evening. The kebabs and snacks are excellent! Recommended for people planning on taking their pets on vacation too!

Bad service. Rooms are not clean when we reached. Costly place and I dont recommend this resort. Staff service is bad.

It is a very nice place to spend time with your beloved and staff's behaviour is very nice and foods are also yammi.

Enjoyed every bit while staying at candlewood. The resort is very beautiful. Staff behaviour is very good. The resorts kitchen is very beautiful overall ambience is superb. Though a bit expensive but when you get this kind of luxury, what can you ask for more. I can't forget the view from my room in the early morning it's just beautiful. The overall security of the resort is fantastic. They had maintained the property nicely. The beach is superb clean never expected. As it was a private beach very few people of our resort was there for chilling & bathing. In recent times due to the pandemic, its not good to go at crowded places so this resort will make you feel more safe. It has a beautiful parking lot of cars. And the food quality is superb. But please don't try the Crab Masala according to me that is not much tasty. Will share the food photos soon.

We paid same price for different types of rooms. It created confusion among travellers. G5, G1 & G3 these 3 rooms are different. We stayed in G5 which was not at all value for money. Room service was too poor. In spite of telling repeatedly they even gave us the water. No one came for cleaning. Including all it was an awful experience.

Complete harrasment. We booked sea facing room. Palash Sarkar in reception given us road facing room and just told to cancel our booking. What kind of hospitality is it? They show a picture of sea facing executive at first floor, and gave us road facing 2nd floor room.

They should be alert for their electrical appliances in the rooms. Gadgets are not all the well-maintained.

Think twice before booking. Food was pathetic. One can stay here only because of the ambience and the private beach area. Unfortunately we lost our keys and we were charged for 3000 rupees we were never informed for. So guys be careful.

One of the finest accomodations in Mandarmani area within a moderate budget. This place is pet friendly hence I could take my cat with me, the place is very nicely maintained and well guarded.

We stayed in the Standard cottage which was pretty spacious (around 300sq ft) good for 3 to accomodate.

Although the Dusting was on the lighter side and we could see dust accumulated on the top of the backrest of the bed and also under the bedroom floor. Now we are all used to such things in our own homes but generally when we pay to visit we expect spick and span.

The attendees are very well mannered and they take care of the guests very well.

I had no problem ordering raw meat for my cat for 3 meals which they later clubbed asone food item at a very affordable rate (@ 160/-).

They have a beach view sitting with a seperate counter to order mocktails, fried stuff and hot beverages.

One gripe I had being a tea lover is that the tea they provide from the Shack Counter is in aa Earthen Pot while the tea they provide in their seperate restaurant/room service is a larger porcelain cup. While both are priced at 25/- the earthen pots essentially have half the amount of tea in it, compared to the cups. After learning about this, I specifically ordered porcelain cup teas for me at the beach sitting.
Half star deducted for this.

They have their own restaurant, and the food although a little in the pricier side, is extremely good to taste and very good in quantity!

Overall my stay was pleasant here and would be visiting again.

Nice budget resort for family. Food is a little costly. The sitting area beside the sea is very good.

Clean + Hygiene + Panoramic View but Overpriced

As much as they’ve charged, they should add some complimentary services! Food quality n quantity is good with reasonable price, they’ve good hygiene practices, rooms are clean, specious! Please, try to avoid any Vekti fish items!

Very comfortable stay. Food is tasty. There is a sitting area where you can spend hours leisurely looking at the sea. And of course you can have delicious kababs and coffee. You can take your pet also.

Probably the best hotel in the area! For the price range.the rooms are EXTREMELY good.the room view is mesmerizing (even if you don't get the sea facing room, the balcony view from other room is really great). Room service was polite and on time. There is an on demand dining available. There is also a sitting area just by the beach with a drinks buffet. Got for it yall

CONs:
1. Receptionist/Manager behavior very bad, room was not ready at check in time, though signed in register at 11: 20 saying room will be ready in 5 minutes
2. No thermal check, just asking for vaccine certificate, not checking if double dose/single dose or fake certificate. Staffs/Guests hardly wear mask
3. Too much couple friendly, not checking any id proof. Just asking Adhaar no to fill up, anyone can write any arbitrary no
4. Maintenance quality very poor, Door lock not working properly, shower switch broken, dirty linens given, mirror damaged, perhaps not changed in years. Low water pressure in taps. No action in 2 days of stay.
5. Never got Wifi signal in G-4 room, no action after repeated complaint (oh.the same old story of all hotels, router damaged in thunderstorm, but in actual there was no thunderstorm in last 1 week and I doubt if thunderstorm can damage router)
6. Food price on the higher side, taste average
7. Only 2 rooms are sea view, no view even from so called super delux rooms. Super Delux rooms on ground floor
8. Stray Cats/dogs roaming freely within the campus

Excellent service. Nice rooms. The beachside deck is just awesome and will definitely add a lot of value and fun to the stay! Definitely recommended!

The most overrated hotel I've ever seen. Poor quality of rooms with worst bathrooms. I don't know how come they got this 4 ratings. It seems they are spending good amount of money for marketing but not for the customer service.

One of the best places to stay at Mandarmani. Beautiful view from the resort. Evenings are worth spending in the in-house sitting arrangement. Try the coffee there. Good food. Good rooms. Don't expect rooms to be luxurious rooms but it's decent in that price. 2 minutes walk to the beach. Children's park, playground, dining hall. The best you can get there in this package. I can bet on this property. Still they need to improve in behavioral aspects.but this property has made me their regular visitor for sure.

The Best Resort in Mandarmani. The staffs are well behaved. Secured and perfect view of the beach. The rooms are well maintained as well. 2 days is enough for a mind refreshing break.

They doesnot even provide a complimentary water bottle.no minibar or electric kettle.only barbeque food items are good.

Sometimes rooms are invaded by lizards and frogs. They should look into it.

Staff members was behaving very badly. Food was also average. If you ask for something, they will simply dont bother, or worse, they will misbehave. When all hotel & resorts will give you atleast complimentary breakfast, they will not give you even one complimentary bottle of water with executive room.

It is one of the best resorts in Mandarmani that I have been to. It is great for a solo trip, an outing with your friends/significant other, or even just a family trip.

The rooms are amazing, the staffs are very caring and courteous. The view from the seating area in the edge of the sea beach is perfect! There are tables, reclining chairs where you can sit and spend your time.

There is music being played in the evening. You can have all of your meals delivered to the chairs and tables outside. It is a great place to relax with a drink, running away from all the worries for a couple of days!

I would highly recommend the resort.

PS, bonus tips, they are pet friendly too!

Good place as compared to its competitors in terms of price and stay experience. Only missing thing is a pool and they don't serve food outside but if you tip the waiter then everything is possible

2. May have booking problems if not booked with the candlewood site - the receptionist may make u wait outside and u may need to call ur booking site, be on hold for an hour or so before things gets resolved.

Good Accomodation with good & prompt services. Food is moderate however few items are extremely well cooked. Service rendered by Santu is worth mentioning. Easy access to beach and also very near to main market. Highly recommended for 2 days stay. Good value for money.

Had a wonderful time at Candlewood Mandarmani. Be it the view, the location, our clean cozy room where we could see the sea just by removing the curtains of the window, the night cocktail by the sea with barbeques of your choice, helpful and courteous staff, well what else can you ask for. It was an extended honeymoon visit to Mandarmani and we had a lovely experience. Pls book through the kolkata back office. The madam there is v.helpful and friendly.

Totally worth your money. Food was bit pricey but the quality was extremely good. The rooms were spacious, amenities inside were nothing special, but the view out of them made up for everything else. Things for which I'll be coming back here are:
a.the amicable behavior of the staffs who'll almost always get you whatever you'd ask for (Raju deserves a special mention here, he was our attendant during our stay).
b. The verandah at the back that directly opens to the beach. Honestly you could spend the night just sitting at the patio by the beach.

Lovely place. The location and Inner beauty of the resort itself is splendid. Hospitality and the maintaning of proper sanitasation is completely worthy to mention.

Excellent place to stay in Mandarmani. The Resort is loaded with each and every amenities for your need. The place is very well maintained with clean rooms and surrounding.
The best part is the beach. The resort has a completely private beach behind it.
It also has a Mocktail and Tandoori counter which operates from evening to 10: 30PM. You can order and get it served in the seating area by the beach.
Their hospitality and staff behaviour is excellent.
The in-house restaurant serves excellent food with a wide variety of menu from Bengali, North Indian to Chinese.
Things that could have been better is the pricing. The restaurant seemed to be a costly one. Rooms could have been better as compared to the price they offer.

Best experience. Would love to come back again. Also recommended to my friends & family. Very polite behaviour & very prompt service.

The place is great and is beautifully decorated and has an awesome sea view. The rooms are great as well. The food is good. The staff and their services have been bad though!

It was too bad experience.the staff was not co-operative at all.the food quality of the resturent was horrible.we ordered kadai paneer for dinner.bt the whole food was stale.after saying many times they said it's due to tomato sauce.no paper of hotel bill was given to us during the checkout time.only resturent bill was given.the only thing is good about the resort is the view of beach from the resort.

Conveniently located, courteous staff, clean rooms (though has space for improvement). Has private beach with resting docks. Awesome food. Though abit small but still provides a fulfilling experience.

It's a small resort type hotel but the beach view is good from the hotel. The food cost is bit costly in this hotel. Rooms and services are good. Only missing part is a Swimming pool. Hope the will make the pool on the other side of the property.

We stayed in a cozy resort at The Candlewood Park Beach Resort & Spa.

Rooms are a bit costly ₹2700+gst, as per the facilities provided but service provided was superb and extra ordinary. Mini fridges, Electric Kettle, Hair Dryer could have been added in this categories of rooms.

The food costed around 1365/person, which covers four times meal. But the food quality and taste was exceptional. Tea to Toasted Bread, Fish to any dish was too tasty. I am not going to give in depth review about them. Show stopper was Aloo Paratha, Aloo Posto, Kadhai & Matar Paneer, Prawn Masala, Pomfret Fry and all the fish & chicken was extremely fresh to taste.

The cherry on the top was sea side seating arena or shack and easy chair with soft cushion. There was a kebab & mocktail parlour next to the shack.

A well recommended resort around Mandarmani to spend your quality and relaxing weekend.

Perfect place for peace loving people. You won't be hearing any noise except the sound of the sea waves even from your room. The food was just like home made and was served in an organized way. They even prepared food specially for my pet dog just like i instructed them. The staff are really helpful and provide great service. I really wanna visit this place again and again.
