I recently visited this restaurant and had a delightful experience. As a fan of sushi, I was pleased to find a variety of Jain options, including Jain Sushi and Jain Dim Sum. The extensive menu caters not only to Jains but also to regular vegetarians. The ambience is pleasing, and the food surpassed expectations, making it an excellent choice for those with dietary restrictions and anyone who appreciates delicious vegetarian options.
Good food, cosy atmosphere, but a little cramped up. Flaming bowl offers an innovative Asian and Indian menu, perfect for Vegetarians as this place doesn't serve non vegetarian.
I felt it was a bit over priced and the portion sizes were relatively small.
Nice and innovative menu with chef specials from around the globe.
Flamingo Cafe offers a refreshing escape with its tropical-inspired decor and vibrant ambiance. The menu boasts a delightful fusion of flavors, featuring fresh and flavorful dishes that cater to various tastes. The friendly staff and prompt service contribute to the enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee fix or a leisurely meal with friends, Flamingo Cafe is a charming spot to unwind and embrace a taste of the tropics in the heart of the city.
We have been regulars at this restaurant. Love the uniqueness of the menu and the exclusive taste of every item.be it the bao, curries, manchow soup, mini kulchas, salads or desserts. We r always smiles after the food.
Food was very authentic and tasty with a tons of variety. However the ambience could be better. Service provided was excellent and the staffs were very helpful.
This place is really beautiful, they have great vegetarian menu which I recently came here and I tried it. Burmese Khao Suey Som Tam Salad Spicy Mushroom Dim Sum Broccoli Cheese Dim Sum Asparagus California Spinach Curl Maki bao mushroom Mini Paneer Kulcha Tandoori Potato Stuffed Spicy Green Noodles Thai Tender Coconut Mint tea and coffee o ice and i enjoyed the food and loved it this place is really beautiful family friendly and awesome also veg and jain food is available must visit at least once
Good Ambience & food was delicious. Staff are very cooperative & supportive. They have many options to try on. Must give it a try if you are a vegetarian.
Flaming Bowl is located near Balwant Singh Dhaba. It is a pure vegetarian, family restaurant offering a variety of spread across its menu. They serve Asian, Indian, Jain and Vegan food.
We ordered the following items and each one was just yum yum.
For Starters
Som Tam Salad – It was served quick and the dressing which was given made the salad more tasty and unique.
Burmese Khao Suey – a perfect soup with balanced taste of coconut milk, very few places actually get the taste right along with the and crunchiness of peanuts and caramelised onions given as toping. A must try. It was soulful.
Tandoori Aloo – Aloo is everyones favourite and these were surely the ones which we will make you fall in love with aloo all over again. The fillings were balanced in flavours and went well with the smoky taste of the tandoor.
Broccoli Chesse Dim Sums – just melts with a bite and its was heavenly. Must dish to try.
Asparagus Sushi – These were better than Papaya and special mention to the extra spicy wasabi which they have. If you like your wasabi stronger, do call for the extra spice one. Its going to leave you totally hot.
I would like to mention about their Spicy Green Noodles. This dish was simple yet had a lot of flavours to it. The dash of lime on it while eating added even more refreshing taste to the buds and was super yum yum yum.
A huge fan of their Thai Tender Coconut – an absolute favourite and no words can describe the feeling which one has with just a bite of this icecream. Its served beautifully in coconut shell along with coconut tender icecream and white chocochips. (Must Try)
For drinks one can try Coffee O Ice, and Mint Tea. Both are good in taste and light on the tummy.
Even the owners are very warm and they make sure everything is served well at all tables and every customer leaves the restaurant with a beautiful smile, happy heart, and full stomach.
So a full five star to this place and would recommend everyone to visit at least once with family and friends.
Food is good but quantity is very low, this place charges about rs 215 for a small bowl of soup, even the noodles are very less, quality is good but the quantity provided is not worth the money
Food was just too good. I loved the ramen bowl, dimsums, and cheese Nan bombs. I had sushi as well but it was average, I've had better ones, food was overall really good and must try. Place is on the smaller side but good enough.
Absolutely amazing place for vegetarians to try contemporary chinese, japanese, thai and other asian dishes with a magical taste and drinks were really well presented and good in taste.
Small but very cosy restaurant. If full could be tad irritating due to too close for comfort. Neat and clean. Staff is good and knowledgeable about the dishes. Food is fab. We ordered drinks, Burmese soup, bow, dumplings, and Indian starter as well. All of them taste very good. Thai coconut ice cream dessert could have little better. Particularly the pulp which was prepared by condensation. Does not taste fresh. Price is little on higher side.
This is one of the good experience that you should have when you visit kolkata. They serve other foods like Japanese, Chinese, Asian and much more. The seating area is very comfortable. Great ambience. We ordered 2 steamed rice, 2 chana dal, kadhai paneer, mix veg papad and salad. As per price wise it's ok. You can go for it. Great place to hang out with family and friends
I recently visited this vegetarian heaven located in Harish Mukherjee Road. To my surprise, for the first time i relished vegetarian food. Some of the dishes i tried were Cottage Cheese Pho, Exotic Cream Cheese Dim Sum, Tempura Sushi, Thai Green Curry and Mango Pudding. The Mocktail we tried was also extremely refreshing - kaafir cooler. Staffs are also very polite and cooperative. I definitely recommend this place to everyone and will visit soon.
Good food overall! Talumein soup was yum but the dimsums pretty average. The sticky rice is quite flavorsome and the portion size is good. The staff is courteous and welcoming.
Absolutely must visit for food lovers Vegetarian at its best.every dish we ordered was sooo perfectly cooked Presentation and service is top notch A special mention for the desert we ordered It was too awesome
The food and ambience is fantastic. Special mention for the sushi, mini cheese kulcha, pad thai and spinach dimsums. Do not skip the desserts at all, especially the tender coconut ice-cream. Would certainly recommend to book a table in advance as the restaurant is full most of the times. Drinks were innovative would consider them to be a little pricey for the quantity. Otherwise staff and owner are cooperative and listen well to the customers request. If in town, definitely visit it.
Ambience is nice Food was also good. Surprisingly they have North Indian Food also. But they need to improve order serving time. It was like too much waiting. Prices are slightly on the higher side
This a lovely place for vegetarian food lovers, located in Harish Mukherjee Road, Bhawanipore. They excel in their Pan Asian and Indian Food. The plus point is they also food without onion and garlic in both the cuisines. We loved the khao suey, cream cheese dimsums, spinach curls maki sushi for the starters. For the mains, phad Thai noodles, nasi goreng rice with black bean side gravy was simply amazing. For desserts, we tried the Thai tender coconut and it was brilliant in presentation and taste. I recommend everyone to visit this place. It’s heaven on plate for vegetarians.
Absolutely Amazing Food! For Indonesian, Thai, Burmese, Chinese food lovers this is THE place. They won't keep you waiting for long and the food is lip smacking.
Delightful place for pure vegetarian Asian cuisines. Have great jain options too. Awesome food. We simply loved The manchow soup, The sushi and glass noodles we ordered. The taste was great. The darsan too was crisp, crunchy and delicious. The staff was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The ambience is soothing and relaxing. Menu has a great deal to offer. Would definitely visit again to try out their other delicacies.
Never thought or experienced Pan-Asian (VEG) could be so perfect and delicious, respecting the authentic taste until now. I am glad something like this has opened in my city. Love the dim sum, sushi and specially the starters. Definitely going here with family.
