I live in kolakham 1st its not homestay its too noiseable hotel they play loud music till night and disturb others homestay.

Flycatcher home stay for few days if anyone is visiting kolakham. We stayed in the top floor duplex room, the rooms are really spacious and clean. Kanchenjunga is clearly visible from room. There is a spacious balcony in front of the room where you can sit with a cup of hot tea (or any drinks) and enjoy the view and also do campfire in the evening. Homestay staffs are really friendly and cooperative, really feels like home. Would like to visit this place once again.

Loved the place, especially the duplex type rooms. The place is a bliss, with a front view of the Mountains. Got homely food and a warm behaviour from the owner. If you are into the Nature, you will feel like a second home, such comfortable was the ambience. Loved the fact that it is not too isolated to feel insecure and spooky.

Please stay away, it's not a resort, it's a low quality homestay. We just stayed there with family for 2 days and had dreadful experience.
1. Rooms are small and does not have fan or air conditioning.
2. Bed mattress is like rock, impossible to sleep. Bed linens had holes and dirty.
3. Same food every single day. They will make a lot of drama and charge you so much extra if you want to make slight change in menu.
4. Food quality is really poor (watery daal and sabji, etc)
5. They will wake you up at 6 for bed tea but won't serve breakfast until 9.30.

Overall all these homestays in these area are not following any food, health or safety regulations. It's time for higher authorities to clamp them down. We had really bad experience and don't want others to waste their time and money here

Serene place to spend time, the room at the top floor has a wooden 2 floor build and is beautiful, got to see the Kanchanjungha peak early in the morning from the room and balcony. Fresh organic food cooked and served.

Flycatcher Homestay is a beautiful place to stay at Kolakham. We stayed in the top floor duplex room. Room is very beautifully decorated by wood and bamboo, spacious and clean. Bathroom is clean. In this covid situation, every day they clean all used bedsheets and towels after leaving of tourist. There is a big balcony in front of the room. One can enjoy straight view of Kanchenjunga from the balcony as well as room. Nathula range is also visible [right side] from balcony. Staffs are really good, friendly and cooperative. Room service is excellent. Food is very tasty. The dull, curry, egg curry and chicken, every food is delicious and they made this as per our criteria i.e. Less spicy and without Red Chilli. Must try their Momo, quality and quantity is excellent. If I get chance, I will stay this homestay again and again.

Nice place to visit. You can enjoy the scenic beauty from the balcony. Staffs are well behaved. Room fares are fair enough. Food is nice.

A BIG CHEATER. Taken the total amount as advance for 2 days but during the time of check in they said that there is no more room. Needs to be beware of the owner's financial behaviour.

The Flycatcher Resort is a wonderful accommodation in Kolakham. Cleaness of the resort is maintained very well. The rooms are well decorated. The decorations are made of bamboos. And the resort offers you a balcony from where you can get a majestic view of " Blue Ridge Mountains". They serve dishes delicious and delightful. The overall hospitality makes you feel at home.
One more thing, Kolakham is a birders' paradise. Hemant bhai who runs the homestay is a very good birdwatcher and a good guide. This is a extra privilege to the bird lovers. You can get his company and guide if he can manage time.

Nice place. We found the endless enjoyment at Flycatcher Homestay. The people are also friendly as good as well. The Changay Falls is also great place to visit. If you want to go then go ahead. Fine view of Kanchanjangha Mountain. 4 star for all this.

It was an amazing stay. Everything about it was beautiful. The rooms are beautifully decorated with bamboos. A homestay with a family environment. Everyone was so good. Mesmerizing view, amazing food, beautiful people and the Two little ones
Biswajit Da is a great person. He was always so caring. Hemant Ji and his wife Kamala was very helpful and friendly and of course their two little daughters shibani and niranjana was so jolly and playful Within just two days we all shared a special bond. Will visit this beautiful place again and again. This is a great place to stay.
