We ordered chole Bhature and Masala Dosa.
The taste of chole Bhature is so good, but the quantity of chole is very little as the price is so high.
Dosa is crispy and taste is also good.
Coconut chatney is very tasty but little expensive.

The ambience of restaurant is good, staff's behavior is nice they served chill glass of water. It is comfortable for summer season as they provide AC.

The restaurant served full veg meal.

It's really a friend's home i really enjoyed the all South Indian item's.i tried coconut uthappam first time at here only.best for South Indian cuisine

Best South Indian restaurant at the new market nearby Sriram Market. Amazing food and fresh juice, lassi available in so many flavors. If you're going shopping and hungry then surely visit The friends home restaurant.

A very nice place for having lunch or dinner. For a long time I know this place. Good food in a reasonable rate. So many people come here but on our last visit we need no waiting time. The fruit juice section is a live station. So someone might have it.

Purely veg restaurant. Good for family and friends within pocket friendly. Food taste is moderate.

A menu full of items are sold here. Very busy restaurant in the heart of city. I ordered masala dosa, plain dosa, chola bhature and kulfis. But tastes are neither very good nor bad. Kind of so so. And kulfi specially that mango kulfis are really bad. It was totally melted and not liked at all. They don't even maintain the hygiene. Flies are flying here and there. Even plates are not cleaned properly. Basic hygiene should maintain

The place is pretty good for snacks or breakfasts. Pocket friendly and fresh food. They have fast service as well. You can try it once.

Always love this place for kulfi, faluda! Chole bature and south indian dishes are mainly their signature dishes!

New Market area has got limited options when it comes to South Indian food but this one is a pretty nice place to have a quick bite. The dosa which I ordered was above average by Kolkata's standard although I wouldn't call it extraordinary as the cover wasn't as crisp as it should have been. Sambar and chutney should have been more thicker. Despite minor shortcomings, the dosa was value for money. There are many beverages, ice cream and kulfi options too. It seems to be a perfect place to have some light food and drinks in the New Market area. Air-conditioned sitting area is a major advantage of this restaurant. Although ambience isn't much impressive, its prime location puts it into spotlight.

Food was okay but the behaviour of staff was very disappointing. Don't know how to talk and if you complain about something will take to their own heart and will misbehave.

Perfect example for cheap place cheap service.

Good place to have Chana Bhatura followed by coffee. Have been visiting this place off and on for the last 35 years. Waiters are courteous. Service is good. Prices are reasonable.

It is a nice place for some quick bites and is a great option to fill up your tummy. Had masala dosa for Rs 100 which I thought was a bit too expensive and also had less aloo ki filling but it was compensated as they gave extra sambhar and coconut chutney katori bhar bhar k.

Had masala dosa. Not good at all, price is lil higher than average in my views. Not recommended.

I had gone to new market for shopping. I dropped in to this restaurant for light snacks. Price is reasonable. But the taste of food is not okay and not acceptable. The interiors of the place is not that clean. I will not recommend this restaurant to any body.

First of all the staff is not professional. They'll send you as if they're doing you a favor and on top of that they do not accept card. The food is so so but the falooda coolfi is so bad.

Good place to have snacks with friends. North Indian & South Indian snacks are available here. Not so pinchy at last.

I have been visiting this place for more than 7 years with family, good environment and food good as well though each place has its pros & con.

A good place for quick bites. The cost printed on the menu cards are ultimate. We ate masala rava dosa, dahi vada and kulfi. I'm not satisfied with the Dahi vada. The vadas were tasteless.but the dosa was extremely soft and perfect. Kulfi was good. One can get a tummy full of food in very reasonable price
