Worst experience. I have ordered noodles and they have sent rice. And the number I am calling is forwarded. I am going to escalate regarding this fraud restaurant, customers are not fool.

The food is great, workers are very humble. They gave me a box of sweetened ginger mouth freshener for free just because I liked it.

Totally immersed by the flavour experience. Great ambience. The drinks also were top notch.

This was my first ever visit to Orient, CC2 branch and what an experience.

Overall the experience was really good and it could have been perfect if the Dimsum had more flavour in it's stuffing than what was present.
One thing to highlight is their Asian Fusion Mocktail which was something that I had never tasted before and never thought that lemongrass and coconut milk could even blend in to become such a lovely mocktail. That was absolutely brilliant

Too much hyped restaurant. Will definitely opt for momo I am any day then visiting this resturant. Unhygienic plates, clumsy sittings, taste wise waste of time and time. I tried their fried chicken, which was stale. Bao was okyish. If someone ever tried bao from momo I am will never like this taste.

Great combo food I've eaten in a long time. Fried rice and fish were very well cooked. The price was also reasonable. But the quantity of the fish was less than usual one like it was even less than half of the bowl.

My experience with The Orient was fabulous, their ambiance and service is absolutely perfect and above all the food is too good. A must visit place!

We had a party here of 30 people for my son's 6th birthday. Me and my wife have been here several times so we were already familiar with their mouth-watering food and quality of service and they did an impeccable job this time also. Each and every guest loved the food and the way they handled this event with always a smiling face and constant food on the table at the same time catering to adhoc add-on requests was really commendable. About the food - everything was cooked to perfection and the stand-outs at least for us were Chicken Takrai with Thai Herbs, Sliced Roasted Lamb & Egg Fried Rice (also the Pan Fried Chilli Fish).
A special shout-out for Swaraj who services our tables with utmost care and sincerity and Mr Bijay who managed it overall - the man with the plan

Undercooked dough in "Tyangra chilli chicken", hard to find actual chicken pieces in the middle of mushy dough. Quite unexpected. Chicken sui mai and Naga mushroom dumpling were Not steamed well enough. The dough was thick and flavour quality of the filling has degraded since last year. Thai red and green curries had flavour but were not nearly as spicy as they should be.
They keep good tables "closed" for no reason and try to convince customers to take up worse seats for their own convenience.

Sita from service was spot on. Great tasting food. The signature green coconut icecream was just spot on. Highly recommended.

Would have given less if it was allowed.after a long wait when we were finally accomodated inside, there was some sort of a table stand beside our table and we were having a lot of difficulty moving our hands because of this, even after repeated request no one paid any attention to it. Now coming to the food, the variety was extremely limited and the food quality was terrible to say the least.in the starter only fish fry, chilli chicken dry, chicken dumpling and stire fry veggi was there. This is not at all acceptable from a buffet. Main course was equally terrible and limited. In the dessert part only two options were there in the buffet, This is the first time in my life I have seen such arrangement.
Thiz will be my first and last time visiting this place.

Their food quality has depleted a lot.
Environment ambiance all well but the food according to price is not acceptable at all. Its very costly and will not fill your soul if your hungry. COKE CAN NORMALLY 30 RS BUT THE ORIENT PRICE 165. GUYS THINK

Buffet lunch was horrible. Food quality was not upto the mark. Service staffs were not available whenever we asked for any repeat. Or even when we asked for water it took 10 min to serve.

Situated in city center 2.the reastaurant is really good with nice ambience.tried sai gai chicken recomended by Mr. Govindo.he was really profesional and recomended us one of the best dishes of the restaurant.very nice experience

Its always a joy to have gr8 chinese food.after Bengali cuisine.its my personal favourite. So.if u love chinese.n live around CC2, try The Orient. A gr8 place with traditional red ambience befitting of the place.the food is very good. The starter. "Gai Sai Takrai" we repeated.had hakka noddles mixed, Prawn with Chili n mushroom, Chilli basil fried rice.all were pat for the course.its a bit pricey.if u ask me.n one of the prawn didnt seem fresh.apart frm that.everything was excellent.staff were courteous n service prompt.

Absolutely no value for money!
Ordered 2 portions of fried rice: chicken and mix.
Hardly could find chicken in the first variety.
Ordered 2 maincourse chicken items too. None of them were even close to what those should have been. Each of these portion coated Rs. 520 but the taste were similar to any street side vendor that's available in less than half the price.
Not going to visit again for sure and will help people to avoid mistake.

Ambience was sober and food was great but it was little expensive. Hospitality of the staffs were good. Overall good experience.

They are taking unnecessary charges for package drinking water. They charges145/- whose MRP is 65/- when you asked them they said 'we can increase the price'. And take too much time to serve the food.

A nice restaurant with cozy ambience. It is located just in the down floor of city centre 2 mall infront of the play arena for kids. There is a good occupancy for families and kids. The food is good but not all the items were upto the mark. For a cheap buffet you can head over to this restaurant.

Delicious and hot indo-chinese food! Shalini recommended the best dishes and they lived up to the expectation set up.

The dimsums were flavourful. The fried noodles with the wanton soup was fresh and crisp. The chilli oil was spicy! The fried rice was fluffy and delicious. None of the food was oily!

The cleanliness can be improved, especially the toilets.

This restaurant is situated in ground floor of cc2, not very spacious but smartly done interior to accommodate many families. I have ala carte n Buffet lunch twice. I prefer Buffet as the price is reasonable n taste is good. Earlier they had more items.

Loved the food and hospitality. Tried the chicken gai sai takrai and then a mixed ginger garlic fried rice with kung pao chicken. Everything tasted really good. The staff were courteous and took good care of us. Definitely coming back here again.

The ambience is very nice. Just do not buy mineral water of ₹20. It is going to cost u somewhere close to ₹95.the taste and quality of the food match the absolute standard

Overall Good experience, based on totally Asian cuisine, pork is available also mixed crispy sea food is available (it becomes difficult when you are a fan of calamari, scallops), clean ambience, apt place for family.

We ordered Chicken bao, chicken hakka noodles and Thai green chicken curry with Jasmine rice. Taste of the food was very good. But the bao which was served was damn cold and when we told them about it, they told that it is just prepared. However after repeated request, they served it after heating in microwave.

The place is awesome. The crockery used is the best part. Good space available, good taste and quantity but they are inefficient in managing the crowd. Prices are on an upper side.

This place is located at City Center 2. I have visited this restaurant first time and I am really impressed with the quality of food. We were a group of ladies who came to The Orient. I would especially recommend mocktails. They served Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. Quality and quantity of food is enough. Prices were reasonable. Service was good. They were nice and polite in their service.

This restaurant is tucked in a nook of City Center 2, initially I thought the entrance could be better lit up but as I walk in I realise its a part of the Oriental charm that the inside reflects, you are immediately hit by nice aromas all around you and see a sight of fresh food. Speaking of food, I wasn't disappointed by a single thing on the menu, the garlic pepper fish was one of the best I ever had. Do not forget to try the coconut and lemon grass mojito! Couldn't get any more interesting and refreshing than that. The neatly divided nooks make it even more better to enjoy your food!

Terribly Overpriced!

We went there with my family and my friends family, ordered couple of fish and prawn dishes (vetki). Preparation was not good and the vetki fish was smelling like raw fish. We were a bit disappointed, hence Oria (or Medinpouri) cook came and offered a free dish of Vetki, It was also smelling like raw fish. We ordered noodles in main course, it was not that good, I believe street food shops even prepare better than that.

Prawn preparation was average, mid size lobster.

Good one was their Mojito with orange juice.

Finally we are presented with bill of INR 11325 for the dinner, Everyone was shocked hearing the amount, we saw mineral water bottles are 150 (retail price label INR 30) in the bill.

The restaurant presents you with exotic mouthwatering Japanese thai and Chinese cuisine. The vibrant ambience they share is also fantastic.

I am a regular here. The hospitality and the food does not disappoint. I generally visit for dinners.
The chef listens to the customisation requests and delivers dishes to the said specifications. He does not take unsaid liberties, this is a respite for me.
I recommend the naga chili sauce and black bean sauce here. The dumplings are also delicate.
I do NOT strongly recommend the Thai food at this place. The Thai food is not bad but it is not at the level at which they serve IndoChinese. Having said that the Thai desert is a must try if you like coconut flavour deserts.

We had a buffet lunch. All the dishes were awesome. In buffet you can taste 25 items including desserts. The staffs have cordial behaviors and you don't need to hurry to finish. The buffet lunch /dinner costs 799 per head without alcohol and 999 with alcohol. But you have to wait to get chance to enter.

Had the best Chinese food ever. Literally relishing all the bites. Loved it. Hope to visit soon again

The most authentic Chinese restaurant in Kolkata serving Pan Asian, Oriental & Thai cuisines as well. Moderately priced and fast service.

Good ambience. Great place for chinese, Thai and Oriental cuisine. Overall it's a nice place to go with family or someone special

It was something unplanned for this place. As we were in City center 2, so we just dropped in randomly for lunch.
Ambiance was pretty good.a warm vibe can be felt probably due to the color combination of the interior. We got our table as soon as we entered. Service was okay and the food quality was also okay.
We had Chili basil fried rice which was okayish.quantity given was enough for two, along-with this we had stir fried chicken with assorted mushroom and ginger sauce. Food was not that spicy and easy to digest. Quality and quantity was good i must say. Even liquor was also available which depends on an individual to order so.
Overall it is a bit over priced as per the taste is concern.

Great food. We got a 50% discount through eazydiner. Hence, the price too was reasonable. Ambience was great too. Tip: Avoid the deep fried icecream at all costs.

Best place for Chinese. Quality and quantity of food is enough. Well groomed staff. They even suggest delicious dish and you have no regret over this. Trust me. Price is fair. Awesome dishes by prawn, chicken and lobsters are the best. If you want to test the real Chinese food, guys this is the final destination.

It's a beautiful restaurant with Chinese cuisine. Preparation of food is very nice. But housekeeping should be taken care and more attention.

I have visited this restaurant twice and am really impressed with the quality of food. I would especially recommend the weekend buffet. Great spread. I never had to call for a waiter for any service; they seem to magically appear with just what you need. Perfect!

Food is very ordinary. Dish served as crispy fish was anything but crispy. It was soggy with a lot of coating. On pointing out we were told this is the dish we had ordered. No attempt was made to replace it.
Service was unimpressive. Customer was asked to move her glass to make room for a dish.

Opted for buffet (alcoholic). For INR 925, it was okay, not too good. Both veg and non-veg starters were excellent. Main course and desserts could have been a little better. Staffs were very cordial.

Very disappointing experience with the buffet. Had the worst buffet lunch ever over here. Food variety was very bad taste was not good.
If you happen to visit do not opt the buffet.

My fav restaurant in Kolkata
Note: I haven't been to many restaurants but this one is really good though great service and amazing food and an even better atmosphere

Food, wasn't upto the mark, particularly, the soup had less salt. And the service was delayed. Ambience and the cuisine they set, is worth a try though.

This is one of the most famous shopping malls in Kolkata and the largest in New Town area. The mall hosts mostly designer clothing stores, famous brands for men, women and children fashions and restaurants.

The Orient is one of the best authentic Chinese restaurant that serve the best quality Chinese and Tiberian dishes. They have a huge variety of noodles, momos, thupkas, soups, dumplings etc. You can also ask for some assistance to their staff and they will be happy to guide you through the menu as per your choice. You can ask them for accompanying drinks as they also have a great variety for that.

Never go here. Exorbitant price whereas quality is not up to the mark. We went there 7 guys. Total bill was 21809/= for drinks and snacks only.

This is one of those upscale restaurants located on the ground floor of City Centre 2 at Rajarhat, Kolkata. The price is on the higher side, but the menu is varied enough to demand close scrutiny, instead of a cursory glance. As the name suggests, the eatery offers dishes from oriental countries, not only of China. The staff are extremely courteous and non-intrusive. One can take help from them while choosing their dishes. The desserts come highly recommended, mainly the Coconut ice cream.
