The Wild Cottage, Dooars

It was a horrible experience. Poor hospitality, bad food quality and zero room service. Hotel rooms remains hourly basis booked for ****** purposes.

The places is verry good. Quite place.
U have a many option ur tour list, if u want go hill side or dooars side I give u option hill side.bcz they are chep and surprised rte fuding And lodging maximum 1000/-plus but this place hospitality is not verry good.per room rte 1500/+
Gst.with out mill.but place is so beautiful.we r went 1night here experience is horrible become night.

I love this place, I recommend it to everyone who comes to this location, and spends at least 2 nights, you can do a picnic party as well. ️️️

Situated outskirts of kodalbasti range of Chilapata forest, beside the Torsa river. Wide lawn and beautiful view of torsa river is the USP of the Homestay. Bison, elephants frequently come outside the forest to graze in the grass land of Torsa riverbed which is clearly visible from the terrace of wild cottage.

Place is quite good, but accommodation is not up to the mark, but still the view of nature will overcome all problems.

It's closed don't make a mistake to arrive here. You have to call before your entry or else they choose to be close just the irrelevant reply of the owner, he/she lacks proper discipline regarding online blab. I have visited three times in this so called cottage and almost every time they're closed. Is this is Burj-al-arab in which prior booking is entertained. Just think his attitude and then decide to visit there. As a level 6 guide he is blabbing my comment baseless whereas I visited three times there all the time they are closed, you can see the bottles of beer in that place only, photos have taken for adherence. Don't book or visit there, the way to this cottage by car is very dangerous as the road is very scruby.

Contact details of Wildcottage is wrong in the page & website. Contact number, website and all contact details of a broker is showing. So beware from broker & contact with owner/manager of wild cottage.

This property has two advantages:
1. Food
2. Location
But never book it through wonder vision. Their representative (Arindam Das) is misleading as he did that to me recently. (Without any prior information he deduced 30% as cancellation fee though while booking he never mentioned that, neither I found it in their website).
Better contact +919593939354 the real owner of this property and you might get a better price and arrangement.

As far as the location is concerned, it is Good. But I must say that the stay is not good enough to recommend when it comes to accommodation and hospitality. May be worth visiting with friends but certainly not with family.

Wilde cottage is just a name only, very rare to view an Wilde animal here. As per cottage's website this place rooms are not up to the mark physically. Rooms are full of #rats very sorry to say one of my expensive leather bag cut by rats this was a disgusting experience. Cottage owner and cook both consume lots of #alcohol one night but they behave good. But if you go with your family this place may not be safe for you, because this cottage area is sparsely so lots of drinker chose this field to enjoy with alcohol which not to be done. And this is not a core area of jungle anymore. If you want to stay core of the jungle so this is not a right place for you. But if drinker not allowed here to picnic with alcohol then this is a best place for spending time with your friends or partners. If drinker are not allowed then this is also best place for writers thinkers and those person who want some peaceful noiseless place. One more thing I must say that cottage premises you see lots of alcohol bottles here, cottage owner should have to clean this place. You can see the beautiful river #Torsha in front of your balcony which is very nice to feel the sound of floating water. Beside the cottage you can see a tiny jungle. You can go for fresh walk but they don't allow very much to deep, by the by this place had not as deep or dens forest anymore, it's a small but beautiful jungle. Elephant came some times but we are unlucky to see them.

I must recommend bachelor's who want to drink enjoy and stay away from busy schedule all are welcome here to enjoy. But be aware from rats.

Beautiful wild location. Beside the Torsha River, near Kodalbasti, Hasimara, Alipurduar district, West Bengal. Elephants regularly come at that spot. Best time to visit here is october to april in a moonlit ed night. Local people enjoy that spot for day visit and picnic also. Seen different fish catching techniques of Rava community in the forest.
The cottage runs in solar power so electricity is not adequate. There are so many scope to improve the management. Although, nice natural beauty spot of North Bengal.

Wow, It was one of the amazing and Thrilling adventurous location. The cottage is located at the bank of the Torsa River. Food quality was lovely and also good hospitality of the staffs. Room's are nice and Western style toilet. Me and my friends was very enjoyed this adventurous jungle trip. Lots of thanks to team Wonder Vision.

Adjacent to the roaring Torsa river on one side and dense forest cover on the other, it is a memorable experience for an overnight stay.

Visited Chilapata Wild Cottage on last October with my family. Realy good location in the middle of Jaldapara & Chilapata, right on the river side of Torsha. Proper place to spend time in leisure mood in the middst of nature.

Awesome location, nice hospitality. Mobile signal is very weak in this area which is a boon, you can enjoy the nature without any modern life distractions. You cannot even charge your phone here, solar electricity is available only for lighting purpose. Western style toilet with running water is available, the water is pumped using diesel generator.

Overall, out of the world experience.

The Wild Cottage in Dooars build location is good. But security very dought. But overall is good

My last months Chilapata tour was fabulous and thanks to Wonder Vision for arranging this memorable tour in this fabulous Homestay named Wild Cottage, Chilapata. All services and the view of this Cottage was just breathtaking. I do recommend this to everyone.

The cottage is located at the bank of the Torsa River. Jaldapara Sanctuary and Chilapata Sanctuary is closer by.
Not a luxury place of stay. But it is at very good place enjoy a good weekend amongst nature. Food is very tasty.
