Timburey Swayambhu Home Stay

This was the last stay in our sandhakpu trek! It was the highlight of the trip. The host was great! The food was delicious. We shared a meal with the other trekkers, had a camp fire and danced around it to celebrate the successful completion of the trek. I would strongly recommend this place to all the trekkers! Must visit for the hospitality and the energy that the place carried.

I had a Dream to stay in this place, as I was passing by with sacred Heart school, Matigara Siliguri 2022.2023 my dream fulfilled. It's a lovely place, very homely rooms are lovely, food traditional touch. Great stay here.

Swayambhu, was our stop after coming down from Sandakphu. And what a stop it has been.

The homestay is situated in a small village surrounded by mountains. You will fall asleep and wake up to the white noise of a stream flowing through the mountains across the black forest, and your body will be peacefully rejuvenated.

The food was delicious, especially the Tibetan bread we had for breakfast. Our night here was nothing short of delightful and cozy after the trekking. Just the right amount of comfort we needed with clean sheets and blankets in the rooms, which face the mountains. A breathtaking view to wake up to along with a cup of tea.

Excellent homestay to spend time with the friends and family. Interior and decoration will give you premium sense. Owner and staffs will welcome you with warm heart. Food is excellent.

Must visit place if you want to spend some time in the middle of raw Himalayan nature

Stayed at this beautiful accommodation after our trek down from sandakphu. We were 4 ladies who were made to feel at home immediately. Met the absolutely friendly and welcoming Didi who runs this very hospitable and neat place - food is also really good. Bonus - The view from the rooms and the surrounding in general were spectacular.

Timburey- A pretty village nestled in wilderness. The hostess is friendly and cooks delicious food. Tongba was good, but I've had better. Also, had carried my own spirit so no complaint there.

Awesome place to stay, delicious food, warm hospitality. A perfect home stay in the lap of nature.

We visited there after our trek from Sandhakhphu till here.
Not only the ambience and cleanliness but the friendly nature of the owners also make you happy. Its just like a home to anybody. The cost per head will fluctuate depending upon the number of people in your group and in which month you are planning to visit Timbure.
They really treated there guests well. This is my second visit to any homestay. And for both the times, I felt so good.
They will serve food according to your time preferences. Four times food is served here- breakfast, lunch, evening tea with popcorn and dinner. And the dishes they prepare are super yummy. They harvest corn during summer and store the same for winter. The popcorn they serve you is actually from those corns.
We were suppose to stay there for one night but we decided to spend another day. Its a great place to stay with your family and the place is kid friendly also.
The scenic beauty is awsome and will definetly lift your mood up. One river is flowing behind this homestay. You can listen to the waterflow also. The owner also loves flower and this place has too many flower pots with lovely flowers. They have there Youtube and Facebook page. You can follow them for more information.
One can also contact them for larger group stays as well. Like school trek or for office outings. Group of 100 people can also adjust they claimed.
Someday I will visit this place again with my family.

We reached Swayambhu Homestay after completing our family trekking to Sandakphu and it was Home Away From Home. The hospitality and sharing with the family was very special! It touched us from within! We were offered fresh organic vegetarian meals and to our surprise we were given variety of organic vegetables to take home. Overall we had quality time & recommend it to all the visitors crossing the area.

If you are looking for a homely atmosphere after a long trek of Sandakphu this is the best place. The hospitality and the the quality of fooding and lodging is unbelievable in such a offbeat place. I highly recommend this place. If you are not into trekking but searching for a nice offbeat place where you can spend some peacefull time in the hills you can go for Swayambhu Lodge.

My experience was Great, got the homely vibes with great variety of home made food and a good accommodation! I will suggest everyone to visit here!

Beautifully decorated homestay for family & friends. Owner of the homestay Bhaiya & Didi were soo good & friendly to us.
Long story in short, I lost my phone after coming to homestay while playing football in the ground, Bhaiya literally rushed in there & found it & hand it over to me.
It was a great experience.

Wonderful place, electricity is also available here, it lies in the core of nature with the addition of the river Timburay flowing nearby.

Hospitality is also good, very friendly and it is a place one should visit atleast once in a lifetime.

8 of us and 3 porters stayed in this homestay on our trek to Sandakphu. This homestay is absolutely gorgeous - both in terms of the decor and in terms of the location. The rooms were very comfortable with large beds, the hosts were extremely warm and ever smiling and accommodating. Sitting in the dining room and enjoying the meals and chatting with the people as they worked was wonderful. The hosts really treated us a part of their family, and were completely comfortable with us. The food was delicious all through, especially the Tibetan bread for breakfast.

Stayed here during 1st week of October 2022 while returning from Sandakphu Trek. Best part is host's behaviour. Very comfortable place to stay. Timburey is also a lovely place to stay.

We, 24th Asoka group, Bharat Scouts andGuides (Kolkata) completed sandakphu trekking on 29/12/2021 and tried to get back in Srikhola via Gurdum on same day, but due to heavy snowfall and rain Some of our rovers were injured and we were in trouble while trekking at night and we don't have enough money. So, we asking for some help in 'Swayambhu night stay & lodging'. Like other hotels they didn't refuse us and helped us a lot. If I say thanks 'thousand Times' that will not enough.overall the rooms, beds, foods and their behavior was quite good. We really thankful that we get them that night.

The best place to stay at Timburey. Has family rooms with attached baths and regular rooms too with common toilets. Has a common dining area. The owners make a good job of serving all residents seperately taking equal good care. Local drink "Tampa" is made available brewed fresh in warm water. Dont miss out on the Tibetian bread and alu-dum for a meal. And.u get served in brass plates

Hosts are really hospitable, the couple has a perfect home with multiple rooms and a dorm. The food is perfect, they provided us with Tibetan bread in breakfast. All the trekkers had a camp fire together.

Beautiful and peaceful place next to a stunning waterfall. Lovely accomodation, excellent unique food and exquisite service. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Wonderful homestay. My daughter and I had a wonderful time here. Delicious food and comfortable rooms. We even learned how to make momos during our stay.

Love this place. A small hamlet in the lap of green mountains. Very neat and clean. Felt like home here. Food is awesome. Local alcoholic beverages are available here. They have a green house in backyard, where they grow their own vegetables. This homestay is run by Lucky Tamang along with his spouse Milan Tamang. They have a small girl named Dolma. She is so sweet. These people are like family to us. Hospitality is awesome here. Rooms are spacious. When night falls the temperature drops down to -3°C. There is no noise. You can only hear the music of water.chirping of birds.flowing of fresh air. Sixteen families altogether inhabitate this village. They are also very friendly and good people. In Swayambhu lodge, they have their own Buddhist prayer hall. You can feel the peace sitting here. A small falls is situated nearby. The path to this falls is also overwhelming. Again and again I want to come here.

A must visit for trekkers. Very serene and tranquil place. Rooms are clean and cosy. Food is too good. Not very costly at all. The short walk to the stream is a delight. A very much recommended place for trekkers as well as tourists.

Loved it. Beautiful place to stay. Just feel like home. People are great. You can get chicken pakora after a tiring trek from Sandakphu.
