Non veg momos are really great specially pork momos. Though it's a popular space but it is small only around 10 stalls. Foods are really tasty and only available till 9 am. Allover a good experience. If you are a foodie visit this place.

A great place located in the Heart of Kolkata city, a bit secret too for many. Located close to CENTRAL METRO STATION and near Poddar Court, Lalbazar, this market is famous for people coming in the morning to taste the best kind of street foods. Mainly a location of the Chinese & Tibetian Refugees, one can get a lot of food option starting from Kachudi, Momos, Bao, Meatball Soup, Chinese Rolls, Wontons, Pork Sausages, and the list goes on. For tasting these awesome food one has to visit the place early in the morning, because all these are available from 5-9am only! Price rates for each dish is very much affordable and it also has a proper vegetable and fish market from where one can buy their vegetables and fish and meat fresh for daily life. A great place to visit!

Located at Poddar court it's a small walk of 500-900 m from Esplanade metro station. That's the best way if you are availing public transport. Just follow the map. It's accurate. Otherwise you can get yourself a cab. A perfect place for cheap yet authentic Chinese breakfast as well as fish, meat and vegetable market. The breakfast items will be of veg, chicken, pork and fish variation along with some homemade desserts like rice ball and such. A must visit if one wants a culture of Chinese cuisine.

Poddar Court's momo market is as old as the place itself. The gradual decrease in the number of momo stalls over the years has done little to nothing to reduce Kolkata bashi's hunger for this place. The 2 hour window (from 0600 to 0800) seems to be too little to enjoy the varied types of momos, paos and rolls available in over 15 stalls here. The meat ball soup and the youtiao make for a light breakfast. On the opposite side of the spectrum is the red meat pao that will leave you asking for more but with no room left in your tummy! All in all, it's a place that should be experienced atleast once, especially on a chilly winter morning. If taking a large group, go early to reserve a parking spot on the road (unauthorised parking, i should clarify!). Reach early (by 0600) if craving for rolls because most of the stalls don't have a roll heating arrangements. Do visit the aunty right at the corner of Sun Yat Sen St and Chatawala Ln and have the prawn sui mai and chicken pao. Sausages for home cooking are also available. Hope to see you there!

Sunday Breakfast. Pop up stalls serving Chinese breakfast staples - Bao (stuffed buns) and Momos (dumplings) mostly with meat (Pork, Chicken) and other delicacies such as fish ball soup and noodles. Be there early (6am/sunrise) as the best stalls wind up by 8am. Carry cash. Some people eat, most come for takeaway. (Note: Neighborhood is not the cleanest place.)
