Terrible experience. Tasteless foods. Overhyped. Foods are really expensive compared to the quantity and tastes. Drinks are also very much more expensive than many other renowned restaurants. We order egg chicken hakka noodles and garlic chicken, and they only give egg noodles. Then the waiter shamelessly try to convince us saying little white egg pieces are chicken and the pieces of garlic chicken was so small I think it needed microscope to find out and also the taste of the gravy was terrible. We have spent more than Rs. 7600/- but overall our food experience was very bad only ambience was good.

One of the best restaurants to visit in Kolkata. Trincas has some unique recipes and items which you can't find anywhere else. I love visiting them every time.

Great place for an outing with family and friends. Good quality food and lovely ambience with live band. This place has sufficient staff unlike other places in Park Street area so their service is prompt and very good. Tried both Chinese and Indian, both were equally good.

If you are standing bang at the center of Park Street and you want to enjoy Good North Indian Food or you are a mix band of friends with diverse choice. What will you choose. Yes Trinkas is the place you should hit. The food is really good and and service is quick. They will also keep your requirement also in mind in taking the order. It was awesome. Service was awesome. Good was exceptional. Bit costly but when you taste it, you will just love it.

Another Calcutta icon, conveniently located next to my hotel and therefore I was irresistibly curious to try it out. They do not take reservations and I was quite happy to be seated at one of the tables in the small anteroom.

Attentive service brought my cocktail and crisps speedily, followed by my main course, which I enjoyed. Luckily, there was no one at the next table, for they are quite closely spaced.

The music felt a little too loud for a restaurant hiking up the volume of conversation, but it was hard not to tap my feet along to some old favourites performed by some top notch talent.

Visited this place on a Saturday, there was live jazz music, but it is difficult to talk if the table is close to the stage.

If you are visiting Kolkatta a visit to Trinincas is a must. It’s an iconic restaurant set up as a Tea Room & Bakery in Calcutta in 1939. Later became a full fledged restaurant. And still it’s a place where there is a live band.
It’s buzzing with people and most of them singing along with the singer and enjoying the food.
It’s value for money and one can go with friends and family for a relaxed enjoyable evening.
It’s Trincas where Usha Uthup started singing in 1969.
I recommend Trincas not only for food, for a great service and music.

As a Calcuttan, I've been seeing this restaurant cum bar from my childhood. It makes me nostalgic of the past.
The food was good and listening to the live band while sipping your drink is likely to transport you to a different place.
This place has not changed and I sincerely hope it doesn't in future. I'd say that it is a place that stands out above time. It has been modernised but never out of style.

Trincas- Park street's most happening dining address.

It is probably the oldest restaurant in the city. It has history and cultural heritage. In July 1959, Om Prakash Puri and Ellis Joshua bought Trinkas from a Swiss gentleman - Singio Trinka and converted it from a tea-room to a restaurant. To this, they added live "floor shows" and made it Park Street's most popular restaurant over the next few years.

Food is not worth. Was extremely disappointed with their Drums of Heaven as it is supposed to be a dish dipped in sauce. However, they served us fried chicken.

Good place. I truly appreciate the the hospitality and warm welcome i received. Now next comes the food it's average as quality and quantity wise it is good and we tried fried rice and garlic chicken. According to price i think the taste could have been better.

Trincas security staff, all managers and waiter behaviour is very bad, they have not respect to the customer, how to talk, how behave to the customer, they are don't know. I am an old customer since last 20 yrs. They always refused customer, They always bad behabe with the customer,

Trincas bears the nostalgia of the town. If you're someone who loves food with live enchanting jazz, Trincas is for you.

Having so much heritage associated with and still growing with the new gen is something so unique about them. Here are the details -

Pros -
The elegance of the interior. They have three separe entrances into the three unique sections, but the main entrance is something you should focus if you want to experience the live music.

The deliciousness and presentation of their cuisine. We ordered -

1. Prawn cocktail - 4.5/5
- soft, juicy prawns in a gravy of mayonnaise. Only the presentation could've been a bit fancier.

2. Chicken crispies - 3/5
- not recommended, too much on the crispier side, though their presentation was worth a mention, plating it on a tiny oil fryer dipper!

3. Aam panna mocktail - 3/5
- could've been better. More watery than what I expected.

4. Chicken drums of heavens - 5/5
- the best among all that we ordered today. Crispy outside, juicy inside. In fact, the juciest drums of heaven I've ever tried. Period.

5. Caramel custard - 5/5
- a perfect one to complete our lunch. Super soft and perfectly sugar-balanced.

Cons -

¶ The arrangements of the tables could've been optimised better so that every diner can enjoy the live music not only by hearing, but also by not missing out on the visuals.

This is one of the best restaurants located on Park Street. Cosy for gathering with friends and family. The room arrangement, decoration and foods all are good. And the price range is also reasonable. They serve Indian, continental, Chinese. Also the restaurant is 2 min walking distance from Park Street metro station. We ordered two Mocktails of the day, one Tanduri sizzling platter, three fish chelo sizzling platters and one Paneer Irani chelo sizzler. The mocktails were refreshing and with flavours of ginger and curry leaves. I liked the taste but there was a problem. While drinking the juice, ginger pieces were coming out through the straw which made me uncomfortable to drink the Mocktail. The tanduri sizzling platter was amazing. Each and every kebab was perfectly prepared. In the fish chelo sizzling, the taste of the fish (vetki) was fresh and delicious. The rice was cooked well. The paneer sizzler platter was also very good. So overall the food was amazing. Also the services were good and on time even during Durga pujo rush. Live music was there to be soothing the minds. So if you are looking for a classy restaurant within budget, this restaurant is definitely a good option.

Great experience even during weekend and rush hour. The food was of good quality and fresh. Service was also in time and the servers were very polite. Taste of each dish was on point. Price of alcohol, cocktails is also decent considering other restaurants of same area.

The food was good. But it a little bit expensive as compared to other restaurants in park street. If you are a person who goes to pub, then go to pub which will be a lot cheaper than Trincas.

Compared to Peter Cat, Bar-B-Q, Marco Polo Trincas food quality is far behind.
Kebabs are not good and Chicken drumstick was not what it is supposed to be.

It was Friday evening hence crowded, but the crowd, is amazing and lively. The live concert takes place everyday, from around 8pm. The food is on the pricier side but the taste is heavenly and quantity sufficient!

The best place ever. Starting from the food to the ambience, everything was top notch. I'll keep going back again and again.

Food quality is very good at a moderate price. Some alcohols are too costly while some are cheap. While my visit there was a show jazz performance by a local band. Restroom is in another business zone and there is beautiful coffee shop. Hospitality is good but waiters are over-humbled and serve you food or drinks or take plates after eating without asking which I personally don't like. I like to finish the whole plate before giving it away -:) -:)

It has the old school charm. There was live music. Which was awesome. We had Pina colada for drinks. For food we had Chicken-a-la-Kiev and Pork Sizzler. Food and drink was good in taste. But little expensive. Overall pocket pinch 1800 for 2 people.

Live music. 5 to 8pm is hindi. 8to 10 is English songs. You can watch sunset also from the street facing windows. The food is also great. Chichen ala kiev is best. My fav is the makkhani pulao and chicken rogan josh. The gravy is heaven.

Old school vibes combined with live music. Some of the waiters are a bit impatient. Especially in rush hours. But overall, good ambience.

Having opened its door, back in 1939 as a tea room & bakery in its present location, the iconic Trincas Restaurant is a piece of history of the Park Street culture of the late 60's to 80's. From live performance of Western bands to the lip-smacking food, Trincas offered an experience like none other! National & International stars like Biddu Appaiah, Usha Uthup have performed during their times at this iconic restaurant.
Trincas has stood the test of time & still today is one of the best in town! If you visit Trincas, you will find the pictures on the walls portraying its rich history. They offer continental, Chinese, Thai, Indian cuisines & each of the cuisine is top notch! The lip-smacking food to go with its rich history is what makes Trincas unique in its own way!

The vibe & ambience of the place is really great. The decor has a classic retro touch to it, however it is very well maintained. The service too was promt & the staff is well trained. Now coming to what we had
•Drums of Heaven along with the house special Ming 83 sauce (Strongly Recommended)
This combination of the Ming 83 dip & the chicken drums of Heaven does wonders, however, that being said you should be extremely careful with the dip its extremely spicy!
•Veg Lasagna
This was decent. Compared to the other dishes we tried, this can be given a miss. However, for vegetarians its a pretty good option.
•Lobster Thermidor (Strongly Recommended)
The creamy lobster meat comes with a side of mashed potatoes & boiled peas! The combination hardly ever goes wrong!
•Fish Chello Kebab Platter (Strongly Recommended)
This comprised of the classic fish Irani Kebab, which had very appetizing smokey flavour, buttered rice topped with an poached egg, couple of mutton seekh kabab, a green chutney dip & a side of salad.
•Pinacolada (Recommended)
I am not a big fan of pinacolada, however the pinacolada here was really different from most places I have had & was good.
•Caramel Custard (Recommended)
This had the right balance of sweetness, perfect way to end the meal!

Chicken steak is a flattened breast piece about 1/4 size of a full plate, without any coating but with brown sauce, with potato paste of about one table spoon and vegetable of about a table spoon.
Mixed fried rice -chinese looked like plain rice with smallest size unclean prawns of about 40 pieces, omlet shreds about 1 tea spoon and chicken shreads about 1 rea spoon.
Only Thai chicken with beans and minced chicken looked and tasted good.

A genuine place for chilling out with friends and family. Ambience is tremendously encouraging. With top quality of foods and the music session this place will surely make your evening special.

A heritage that's unparalleled even to this day! Excellent food (we had continental), excellent service staff, excellent ambiance and star attraction is the live music! The location is amazing too! They have various seatings- high chairs, cosy sofas, window view, around the live music, lamplight set-up etc! Had amazing experience!

Being an old patron it appears my love hate equation with Trincas is here to stay. Unfortunately today the hate quotient had an upper end which is quite contrary to my visit last week. It all started with unpleasant arguments with the manager Mr. Gomes about table availability. Lack of courtesy and correct mannerism were too glaring to not to be pointed out. Beginning the evening on half spoilt note was not a great starting point and the person concerned offered a half hearted apology only when asked for it. Not to take anything away from the lady crooner, if there is an option available you have to go for the other and the better one for the weekend nights. About food, the sizzler spot fire effect was also missing and was served in pedestrian way.
Hope some amends would be in place if and when I make next visit to my beloved Trincas.

Trincas offers delicious food in an excellent setting. The live music is amazingly good, albeit loud, which can be turn off for some people. Not for us. It increases the energy factor. The restaurant offers a great selection of food with above par service.

Great place at the Park street area, Hop in with family/friends for a dine in. I visited the Bar cum Restaurant which you have to enter from the sideways rather than the main entrance on main road. Staff was good and behaved pretty decently rather than other old bars/restaurant in that area. Quite cost effective and decent crowd

Had been here a few years ago.before the Covid situation and me along with my friends had some good time together with some soothing music at the background to uplift the ambience.

So recently I visited after a long time with a friend of mine. And on my friend's recommendation I tried there freshly brewed cold coffee and the coffee was just awesome. I had 3 glass of coffee. Yes you heard it right they serve this coffee in a wine glass with a layer of frauth on top of it. Highly recommended do visit and please have it.

The live music was really a mood setter, and the staff was really friendly from the beginning.

The place with a certain heritage is always special to me. In this covid phase they are taking appropriate measures. Some of our office colleague visited few days ago. We had bhetki, fish and chips and some other drinks. In main course we had lasagna. All of them were very satisfactory. Additionally, a band was performing so melodiously that our enjoyment multiplied several times. I recommend a visit.

Loved the ambience. As ever, trincas never disappoints. Loved the lady who was singing. Good place to spend time. Food was ok ok. We ordered chicken ala kiev and stroganoff which were good. Also ordered an assortment of non alcoholic drinks which were not upto the mark.

The coffee roasters is a great place for a gossip with your friends. Try the cold brew coffee and they will always make you want more. Currently offer is going on for unlimited coffee refills at the same price of a single coffee.

My only suggestion is that the door to the bar should be closed as a lot of noise comes from there.

Awesome live music and great food. Portion is little less in compare to price. Staffs are very polite and always ready to help. Western music lovers should enter 9pm onwards and for Indi popular songs 6 to 9 pm. Go and enjoy.

The food and drinks are pretty great - they have recently introduced craft coffee which I think is a great addition. The staff is attentive so you wouldn't have a problem with your order or queries, if any. I recommend the Beckti in Lemon Butter Sauce, Pad Thai, Caramel Custard, and Drums of Heaven.
