It was some experience. There was a long line in front of the place, and it was completely packed. We had to wait for a good 15-20 minutes to get a table. The food was really good; wouldn't recommend the vegetarian options though. Chilli Pork and Meifoon were really good. The service was brisk and slightly rushed, but it's understandable.

Awesome taste. If you are a pork lover, it's a must visit. They are very strict about their timing. Do check their website. Foods to try: pork wanton soup is a speciality here as starter. I personally didn't like it. I tried Mixed fried rice, dry chilly pork. Both were awesome.

Simple yet elegant. Serves authentic Chinese food. A single dish is sufficient for two, order wisely.

3) chicken in black bean sauce
4) Salt and paper chicken
5) Chicken/ Pork hamchoi rice
6) Prwan wanton

Non AC but very low price to get authentic Chinese dishes. Must try the pork items, especially the starters.
Service is also very good. A scooty is parked in the room though, I don't know why. Rice and noodles quantity of one plate is sufficient enough for an adult.
When dining at this restaurant, you must definitely order Clear Soup, Pepper Chicken, Wonton Soup, Noodle, Chicken Manchow Soup.

Visited this old restaurant few days back as I've heard alot about this place. The place will give you a old school canteen vibe. Seating capacity is around 50 people so if you want to reduce waiting time for table visit as early as possible.

The food quality is really very amazing
Ambiance is quite good
Wontons finish so fast so if you want to have them visit early.
Don't expect high end experience but if you're a foodie then it's the place for you

Waiting time is a bit long than usual which is totally okay for me as it's worth the wait

1) From howrah station take a bus and come to Poddar Court, it's in 3-5 minutes walking distance
2) Nearest metro station is Central. Come out from 5 number gate and walk towards Chattawala Gully. 4-5 minutes walking distance.

A heritage authentic Chinese food joint/eating house which has been around for ages. It was in my wishlist for a long time and finally I visited there.
A small restuarant with vintage style decor and plastic chair seatings and non-ac environment, beside Pou Chong factory at teretti bazar, Kolkata.
Food was top notch tasty and they specialise in chicken and pork dishes. Fitness freaks also can, as the starters also less oily.
Service is a bit taking as a family run the business and chef is also limited. Payment can be made through cash, upi or card. Overall a great place for the old school food/restu lovers in the city.

Food Quality is average. Too much Oil and salt in Food.and most importantly stuff has very rude behaviour as if they are surving free foods.very bad place.

OK so I came accros this place while searching for Authentic Chinese food for my girlfriend and I wanted a place that was easy to access so that we could crash anytime and didn't bite a hole in my pocket. LOH BEHOLD TUNG NAM EATING HOUSE. It's very centrally located, close to Central metro station.
There is Mr Ivin who serves the food and man he's such a sweet uncle, he is the ultimate icing on the cake.
Coming to the food, food is like home cooked, it's actually a home restaurant which gives a really warm family vibe including the aunty who cooks the food, she once scolded me as if she were my mom.
The pork dishes are a must try, the food is just awesome with all the punch to rattle your taste buds. Please don't ignore the red sauce available on the table, it's the main thing, if ordering soup add the red sauce and enjoy the punch. This restaurant's food will make any bad day of your grate.

Pork Chowmein Gravy and Pork chili gravy, great combination
Wonton soup (don't forget to add the red sauce)

A must visit eatery to have authentic Indo-Chinese delicacies. Dishes like Pork steamed wontons, Chicken in Hamey sauce and Pork Hamchoi are outstanding.

This place is good in terms of hygiene and food both. The quantity is sufficient for more than 1 person.

The oldest restaurant at the Chinatown of Kolkata. The prices r quite reasonable and the quality of food is great too. The blend of Indian culture into Chinese spices is pretty evident. The place has strict timing policies though 12-3 pm and then again from 6-9 pm. The business is managed by a lady and she herself brings you the food. Nice experience.

My first time at an authentic Chinese restaurant. I think I will be able to rate more accurately after I visit some more. All I can say for now that it is not not disappointing at all.

We are losing a gem from Kolkata that makes Chinese food. And that's Tung Nam. Behavior is extremely bad. They fail to manage customers on holidays or weekends as they don't have the required staff. But that shoudnt be customer's concern. If u r unable to serve then simply shut down your eating house. People without any doubt will travel to Topsia for Chinese food. Only for the sake of food they have managed to maintain thier customer footprints. VERY UNFORTUNATE!

One of the best place to have Chinese food in the country.
There is a saying called Never judge a book by its cover. Tung Nam eating house is exactly like that. The place looks ordinary and unwelcoming from outside. There is only one person will take your order. And that's it.

Everything changes when the food will come. The freshness of the meat, the aroma, and taste will amaze you. If you have never visited the place, then I would say you have never tasted such phenomenal Chinese food in India.

PS: The chili pork is best in class. So as the wonton chicken soup.

Chinese food prepared the way a Chinese people prepare it. Quite low price compared to Tangra restaurants. No cards. Simple round hall with lots of red-topped tables and chairs in it to have food. Menu card is there but don't expect someone to come and explain the dishes to you. Waiter always on the run between tables. Decide on the food, enjoy it, pay your bill and leave type of a food joint, This area is the old China town of Kolkata.

Chili pork was excellent, the taste was perfect, good quantity and reasonable, don’t expect any ambience, also the restaurant accepts only cash

The restaurant staff are really rude and unnecessarily mean.

Authentic classic Chinese food available. Quality of food Good. Hospitality & management Good. They are not fancy looking Big-Boss cafe but if u really like Chinese food this is the place for you. And price of all items are within ur affordable range.

The worst place I have ever been, the service was pathetic and the food was totally overhyped; even our local Chinese restaurant is far better. The weirdest part is that they don't calculate your food bill properly, so be aware of what u order.

If you are a Chinese lover then you should definitely visit once.this place is at Territy Bazaar.there is always rush and its really busy all the time.you might have to wait for a long time.the ambiance is not that great as its too old place but quality and quantity of every dish is more than enough.tried some new dishes to.which is good.dont try any hamchoy dish its not that good.i would not recommend it.

One of the best authentic chiness resturant. Here you can find various chiness food like wonton, mei fau, pork item. They are specialist in pork items. Must try Chili Dry pork, pork in hamie sauce and steam wongton. Price are very reasonable. And one plate quantity is sufficient for 2 person.

Okayish place. I order fried pork fried rice and chilli pork and chicken steam wontons. I found fried rice was too dry. Chilly Pork was good but I felt the pork wasn’t fresh enough.struggled to chew some of the pieces. Rest is good.

One of the famous Chinese places in Territi Bazar, this is indeed a Hidden Gem.
It serves real good food, at even better prices, and the quantity of their servings are also pretty filling. Their service ain’t their strong suit, but then again, they don’t charge any service charges neither do they add any taxes over their menu prices.

Today I was here, had there signature dish chilly pork as I consider myself as a chilly pork hunter.it was mind blowing had it dry with mixer hakka noodles and to start with wanton soup. Believe me I had full it all though the portion is actually for 2 people. The pok choy they used in the soup is like they just pick it from the garden, soo fresh.a big thumbs up for the food and also the ambience as I like this kind of ambiance. Food quantity is very good.
They say its Chinese but cooks are not, only the owner. The restaurant owner seemed very much rude.
I guess old fame, quantity and pocket friendly price are the reasons that it is being hailed by people. Also because I guess because of pork items it is being most sort after.

Great Chinese. Good amount of food, at a cheap rate. The place does not have an AC, so it can get a little sultry during summer. But if you're looking for some great Chinese, this place is the answer.

Best food I ever tasted is from this place. I can't explain how much I love to have pork chilly and pork noodles here. I am not a localite of Kolkata, I am from Varanasi.my best friend introduced the heavenly mouthwatering food like Pork Chilly and Pork Noodles to me in this Durga Puja 2018.from that day I daily dream to have it.
