Udaan Hotels Nirvana Resort, Darjeeling

We were at the family suite for a wonderful week. The view is magnificent. It's near the Darjeeling mall. The staff is amazing - nice, helpful, and very accommodating. Dorjey, especially, was great!
The only drawback is that there is no access by car, but the staff helps carry the bags when necessary.
Overall very recommended.

Stayed at their family room with balcony for 4 days along with family. This was a fantastic experience.

Firstly the room - this was a suite with 2 bedrooms and a balcony which had a great view. The bathroom was small but clean. The bed was clean and the pillows and sheets were great quality.

Secondly the service - awesome. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help you in whatever way they can. I forgot my US - India adapter and the front office loaned me their phone charger without hesitation. The morning buffet was also great in terms of food and the options.

Thirdly the location. Less than 100 meters from the Mall road. Cars will drop you / pick you from Bhanu Bhawan which is a 5 - 7 minute walk. Good restaurants like Kunga, Tibetan Restaurant and Glenary are 5 minutes walk from here.

Fourth and finally - the hotel itself. Space starved Darjeeling hotels are not usually found with a lawn and a sitting deck/garden. This one has a small but neat garden.

Very highly recommended for family travelers

We visited udaan Nirvana its is our first experience with udaan hotels and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay I would like to appreciate Mr. Thendup Bhutia for his efforts to keep us satisfied with his service and make sure our stay is as comfortable as I could be and same time made our stay Memorable. One of the best resort of Darjeeling. With amazing view and service. Rooms are clean and maintained. Food quality is good. Just few meters away from chowrasta. Drawback is, not diretly reachable by car. Not suitable for aged person.

It was great full stay with Udaan Nirvana Resort. Room was suspicious with quite amenities. Beautiful valley view from the room balcony. Food was awesome and staffs were politeness and professionals. Location is quite distance from the mall road. Otherwise all okay

We got cottage room which is not upto the mark. In room there is interconnected door and no privacy at all.
After request, they shift us to their another property which is named as Himalayan Suits and Spa which is really best one. We got Kanchenjunga view room and we see Kanchenjunga 2 times within 3 days.

Food quality is good and rooms are just awesome

My name is biswanath me and my wife have visited nirvana for my workation (work + vacation) since I was there for vacation but couldn't go around much as I work in a IT sector and had to work from home mostly so we mostly stayed inside the resort wandering around in the garden doing my work on my laptop just need little improvement on WiFi otherwise the property is on top notch good view good rooms and extraordinary service specially Mr. Thendup Bhutia must say he is a very professional and polite guy handled the issues with ease first day we had problem with our television no cable connection was there but Mr. Bhutia resolved the issue in just one go very quick response from him. Thank you guys we will surely visit them very soon.

We stayed in Udaan Nirvana Hotels and Resorts in Darjeeling. It was a great experience. We were taken care by the team of hospitable staff of the hotel. Thank you so much for making our stay memorable.

This is my first time I have to stay With Udaan Company Hotel & Resort. It was unbelievable stay In Udaan Nirvana Resort their room, amenities, ambient, food and most important thing is View from balcony and garden also. Staffs were very good and very polite. I really appreciate your hospitality and professionalism. I really do recommend Must visit

The room was very bad. We stayed in room 403, peeling wall paper and huge spiders. Room 401 and 404 were bigger so do mention the room number while booking. Cramped room with barely no space to move. No place to keep regular use stuff. One tiny table was there on which keeping 2 cups is difficult.
The shower area in the bathroom had no place to keep soap or toilleteries. One has to either keep it on the floor or come out to the wash basin while bathing to get or keep soap or shampoo.
We stayed for 5 days and they didn't even change the soap or refill lotion.
Totally veg hotel. Wish they advertise this. We would not have booked the hotel at all then
POSITIVE: Excellent location. It's a 5 min walk to Mall road. The view from the rooms are spectacular. Complimentary bfast though veg, has variety and tastes great too. Room service is fairly quick and food quantity is alright.

Very good premium hotel at mall road,
service is best.food too very good.only thing even though its newly constructed few things in interior falling apart n feels like very old building, our bathroom had issue of waterlogging.but overall still it has premium looks.

What we liked:
-The view from our room and also the garden
-Old but beautiful interiors
-Calming music in the background
-Pure veg food which was delicious
-Cleanliness in and around the Hotel
-Beautiful garden
-Excellent and kind staff who were smiling and spreading good, positive vibes
-Hot water for bathing
-Even though you have to walk about 5mins to the Hotel, the staff will send their personnel to pick up luggage

What could have been better:
-Cramped up rooms (we stayed in #403)
-Floor was dusty even after we asked them to clean
-No floor mat outside shower so imagine wet legs touching dusty wooden floor
-Perhaps because of rainy season, there was a moldy smell from humid walls
-Bathroom was so congested, also there was no soap holder inside the shower
-Saw a spider and in the night some creature was feasting on the wooden walls:)
-No fan or AC but definitely you won't need them:)

Even with all the above mentioned Cons I would recommend everyone to stay at Udaan Nirvana because the Pros will definitely make you forget the negatives. I don't have any bad experience here, was able to get good sleep, good food and peaceful stay. Totally in love with Udaan Nirvana for it's beauty and also the stunning view from the Hotel <3

This was my wife's 1st trip to Darjeeling. She chose to stay at Udaan Nirvana. The location of this property is very nice. A little under 10 minutes walking from mall road - chowrasta main crossing. I didn't like 2 things about the hotel.
1. The many insects, bugs, spiders and spider webs (cant help it due to the monsoon session i suppose)
2. The inclined road outside the hotel is a little steep and is very tiring to go uphill (both my wife and I are Fluffy) and there is no vehicle access on the road. You have to walk from Bhanu Bhavan to the hotel with your luggage. If u call the hotel in advance, they will send their bell boys to Bhanu Bhavan and take your luggage to the hotel.
Now for the plus points
1. The view is outstanding. We had taken a balcony view room, and the view was stunning (when there wasn't any fog).
2. The restaurant in the hotel has pure vegetarian food. The food was scrumptious. And reasonably priced. The buffet was good.
3. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We had a few hiccups in our stay but they were swiftly resolved by the staff.

Only good thing is room and location. Nice view and 5 minutes walk to chowrasta. After that things start getting worst.

Cold water in shower. Shower doesn't lock. Staff asked me why I didnt check in evening. They were expecting guest will take shower in evening just after check-in.
Started reminding checkout in morning 7am.
Regular call for checkout although checkout time is 11am.
They will drag your trolley for around 250 meters on non smooth road to get to hotel.
No car can reach the hotel. They should arrange some trolley like airport have to transport luggage to avoid damaging luggage wheels.
Restaurant is understaffed. Barely used I guess.

Spider nets is balcony. Dirty chair in balcony. Not hygienic.

Asked for 300 for room heater in cash without any receipt. Seems it will go in pocket of honest staff.

I was staying for two days in Udaan Nirvana Resort Darjeeling. It was excellent property, Room was cleanliness but we can't enjoy balcony room because we had a book premium view room that's a window view and valley view only. If I came Darjeeling in next time l'll definitely book a balcony room. Food was delicious & staffs were very helpful and politely.

Staff and service was very good just few rooms are not too well maintained while the rest are amazing. The phone in the rooms were not working and there was an half an hour power cut situation in the middle of the night.
However the place in itself was beautiful and the staffs were very helpful

Its located right on mall road - property was clean and green than many other darjeeling hotel in that area. For people who can't walk that much, cabs can't drop you at this property. You need to walk atleast 500 mtr to reach here. Plan accordinly.
Many facilities of the resort was not in open condition like Spa, game rooms, etc.

The location of this hotel is fantastic and there is mountain view from every room.
The garden area and the main area both are well kept and the room n decor is also of great choice.
The only drawback is if you are non vegetarian and don’t like vegetarian food at all then you have to eat out as they are purely vegetarian.
Otherwise a great place to spend your vacation.

An excellent property. Me and my family had a great experience.
The ever smiling staffs always ready to help you. The food is also very tasty. In buffet they always have different types of dishes, they don't repeat the dishes. Location of the property is very good. Close to the Mall, but one can enjoy the beauty of the nature from the resort.
The rooms have excellent view of Queen of the Hills.

Worst service, worst rooms, thy don't hv any manners to speak to the client. Proper discription of the rooms are not mentioned by them, thy ultimately blame everything to the third party. No proper wifi connection.

We took a premium room with balcony for 2 nights. Location might be a problem as you have to walk for 10 mins to reach the hotel, no vehicles are allowed in that area. The closest you can reach is Bhanu Bhavan, then walk to mall road and go down further to reach the hotel. Room is a little congested for a premium room. The view from room and hotel is pretty good. Food is decent too.

Rooms have nice views but are vry smaller in size, food was good, however location is somewhat odd as one have to make someone carry ur luggage from/to bhanu bhawan (it's nearest point to get vehicle). Though location is very close, ard 5 mins from chowrasta, but feels unsafe at late evening.

The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is its location. It is situated down to the mall and you need to move upwards too much to reach the shops. Overall the service was good, but the rooms were not well maintained like the doorbell was not working or the tv has no channels to watch. Not recommended if you have another alternative.

They don't provide TV remotes and eating dinner in the room is a bit uncomfortable as there's no proper table or anything. Mirrors are a bit weird. Room decorations were sweet. They do provide complimentary tea. Food is really good. Cleanliness and staff is very polite and disciplined.

I had less than 24 hours in this hotel. The best part was that it is ideally located near the marketplace yet quiet and has an astonishing view. I would like to give extra marks to the staff. We had to go to the cab at the pickup point at 4 am and they provided us a staff member to escort us.

Had stayed for a night at Udaan Nirvana, the place is a bit away from the main market place but the stay was worth it owing to the ambiance of the place and the views from the room, however, our experience had some hiccups owing to the mess up by the staff who alloted us the wrong rooms initially and then asked us to move out once we had just settled in. The food was above average and needs to surely improve.

Smallest bathroom ever seen.dont even have bare minimum space in bathing area.have to walk long from the bhanu hall with luggage. Stayed on the ground floor which is actually in the 3rd basement level. Don't even have lift.
