Earlier it’s not better in terms of its ambience and service when it was under private operator

Took too much time to bring the food even when there was no one in the hotel.
Panneer butter masala was too good.
Rotis are average.

Room rents are somehow cheaper as compared to luxurious lodges in and around Salt Lake. It's my own view which I experienced. There is a discount for senior citizens though only on weekdays except Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

Service and staff behavior are quite good, food quality is really worthy of praise. But the room needs to be more tidy. The location is also convenient. The overall experience was nice.

Simply another very well maintained and affordable guest house run by the Government of West Bengal. Each and every facilities are much above any other private hotels and banquets. I thank all the staff of this amazing guest house.

Good location, quiet environment and good dining experience. Staff are helpful. Three storied without lift. WiFi available but inadequate speed. Attached with a bar cum restaurant. The property has a separate hall for social function.

Visited only for 1 day. The location is very good with lots of places to hang out within 15-20 mins of walking distance. The rooms are spacious with modern amenities. The food is very good with reasonable rates. Overall the experience is very good.

Their attached fl off shop is a cheater please check price on bottle before paying they always take 20 or 50 rs extra over mrp if u dont check it

Udayachal tourist lodge is a moderate facility for lodging and food. Its a West Bengal govt facility. Preferences for govt. Staffs. There is a bar for normal accessibility. Rates are slightly low from normal charges.

The hall has good ambience. It is maintained properly. The hall is perfect for wedding ceremonies.

One of the most horrible places to organise your wedding. The venue charge is approx 1.5 lac, with add ons for decorations, although the capacity is only around 150 as anything more will cause overcrowding.
The food is horrendous with appalling serving staffs. They will purposefully hold back food and put forward empty food trays. Every single guest complained as one or the other item on the menu was already finished. They won't carry starter trays around and most of the times the starters trays are empty.

Highly recommended for holding wedding ceremonies. The entire staff is very accommodating. Decoration by shuvendu was on point, exactly how I wanted and also elegant. Food by gourango and team was excellent. Service is wonderful. The place is great for ~150 people.

Nice, well located Tourist Lodge managed by State Tourism Department. Employees are friendly and helpful. Food and services are really good.

Spacious. Good space for reception, birthday parties. However, parking is a serious issue, you might need to park outside.

This is the headquarters of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited. However, the lodge is not as well maintained as other WBTDC Lodges in West Bengal. Needs to develop more professionalism in terms of service and all. The most unfortunate drawback is that the lodge does not have a restaurant run completely by itself. An attached restaurant is there but it is run by a Kolkata based catering service. Most unprofessional, to say the least. Needs immediate attention from concerned authority.

The rooms were good. Big enough for a family of four to stay and quite comfortable. The restaurant is not up to the mark.

Tourist lodge convention centre program hall like marriage birthday all under one boundary. More over well connected by road and near by metro service. Well managed and run by WBTDC.

It is a govt of west bengal property. Rooms range from 1500 to 4500. Rooms are well managed.they offer place to arrange weddings and other events also

This is a government Guest House operated by the Department of Tourism, Government of West Bengal running from 1984. From the beginning accomodation and restaurants facilities available here. There is also a reception hall for 100 peoples which can also be used by the government officials. One big resorption hall is almost completed for opening. This is a good place to stay.

Good infrastructure, food is good but the price is not justified, if you want easy access to all the sectors of saltlake it's simply the best option. The management is good, rooms are airy (there are AC and non AC options for you to decide). The service is nice too.

Awful. This word sums up the experience. Easy to miss from the main road, it used to have a restaurant Mishra's, till a few years back. Now no one knows the place by its new name, the Calcutta Cravings. Went there to attend a family gettogether. Even a roadside shack just outside the entrance denied the existence of Calcutta Cravings. It took a little curiosity to discover the place. Food was below par, with rotten fish, saltless paneer, tough rice Pulau.and the less said the better. The dining area was hot, grimy and choking with kitchen fumes. Disappointed to find the this area without airconditioning. A good place fallen to the political ill will of the powers that are.
