Worst Experience, we came with family, took three rooms, all room lock is not working, at night 12am we were locked out of room and room was not opening, there was no staff available in the whole resort at night after 10, no one was available at our service, then security guard came and tried to open but it didnt work out then he offered us to sleep in a used room which has ciggerates thrown, empty beer bottle kept, sheets are not fresh, toilet was dirty, jet shower was not working and finally he gave us another room after all the harrassment and the room was in same condition dirty not clean, and securtity said you have to adjust in this room otherwise you can see whatever you want to do in the middle of the night. During breakfast we asked for bread and butter they said butter is not available, onky bread us there, Morning when we were checking out we told our problem at the reception, the recepitionist said we cant compensate and blamed us for everything. We would highly suggest not to stay in this resort. Horrible experience.

Excellent location for staying overnight and holding conferences. The food is superb. Service is excellent and behaviour of staff is fantastic.

The property is huge and beautifully made, one of the best resorts near kolkata, no need to praise it, this place speaks for itself, only one thing which needs huge improvement is their service, if we order food in restraunt or room service, takes minimum of 3 hours to reach, which ruins the mood of holiday completely, if they do something about it, it will be unstoppable,
O hope they fix the jaquzi, that was one of the main attractions for me to come here and it’s hasn’t been working for a long time now.overall resort is beautiful and they have great amenities, improvements required in services and i hope they introduce some activities too.

Very large property and well maintained. Rooms are big and comfortable. Pool area is very attractive. Environment is very good. Excellent food. All staffs are friendly & well behaved. Enjoyed a lot. Will go again

Place is nice for a weekend escape. But bed is too soft to sleep. Planned for 2 nights but had to leave after 1 night. Food is ok, but not the best. Over all place is fine but certainly doesn’t worth the amount they are charging.

No first aid kit available on the whole resort, management is hilarious and poor service from the manager 'Pallab' rudely talking to the guest.

Worst experience ever. The rooms are over priced considering the location. Rooms and dining area are not at all maintained as it's is full of dusts, cockroaches and spiders. Washroom & rooms doesn't have adequate light in it and half of the light in the room doesn't work. The check in time of the resort is at 1: 00 PM, we reached their at 1: 30PM and had to wait till 4: 00 PM to get our room and that to a very untidy one. Also we had to wait 2 hrs after placing our lunch order. I would suggest all of you not to waste your valuable money and come to stay in this place. Pathetic place.

It's covered with a large area. Location you can find out easily. But your own vehicle would be more appropriate. The swimming pool is excellent. It can also be a good destination wedding or any family ceremony. The cost of food is a bit high but as per the resort u can enjoy it. It has a bar swimming pool where you can enjoy drinks with your family. You enjoy your weekend nicely.

It's a superb resort. Cottage and rooms are available for family and couple. Rooms starting from 3300/- to 6000/- per night. Bathtub in washroom cottage starting from 3900/- per night. Pool side all rooms are 6000/- per night. All amenities are available like pool, tennis courts, free wifi, ample of parking available here. Lunch cost starting from 450/- + gst per head fish thali, chicken thali 600/- + gst, mutton thali 800/- + gst, egg curry 2 pcs 150/- + gst, puri sabji (5pcs) 150/-,

Very nice property to explore and spend some quality time with your partner and family. Day outing is also available with some benefits.

Extremely bad resort. Food was served almost after 2 hrs Fromm ordering and almost 80% of the order is not serviceable. Even they don't know the actual meaning of Bhetki Fish Fry.
Rooms are extremely dirty with full of dirt on table, over wall clock and on floor. Used towels are kept on outside floor for washing without keeping on a clean bag. Moreover the check in room procedure is pathetic. We were 4 couples with kids and we booked cabana pool view room. However 3 rooms were allotted at a around 3.30 pm and other 1 were allotted on the first floor where the stairs to that room seems to be quite fragile to use. After quarrel and discussion they were offering discounts but that was not what we expected from this kind of property, they don't even bother about customes sentiments. The staff and the management head were clueless. Atlast after series of argument they were bound to refund our booking amount and we have to come back without enjoying our weekend holiday. Please visit this place at your own risk.

Note - hotel is not sanitised or clean infact lots and lots of housefly you will get at every nook and corner.

Ambience and backdrop of the resort is well prepared and managed.may consider an off beat place near kolkata. Property is still developing. An ideal package for a major family event with large number of guest. Room and amenities are ok but must be developed and maintained well.approach road is a bit narrow for the number of guest planned for entry.

Value for money!
'Quaint' is the word you are looking for. I was really skeptical to book after reading certain negative reviews. A lot of the points are right but in the whole package, doesn't matter much.
I will start with the cons.
Poor wifi, understaffed, tardy response, and inferior extra bed. (you have to sleep on the floor if you get the extra bed.really offending.)

Now the pros.
Look at the price.some may say it is high, but it is way lesser than Raichak and some other properties offering similar amenities.
Vedham offers a unique experience of eco tourism, which is the sole attraction of the place.but along with it offers all necessary 5 star facilities (albeit of lower standards). The rooms are clean, staff is polite, you get a mini fridge, tea maker, a clean swimming pool, play activities, a spa, gym, bar. In this price range a very good deal.
To compare with Raichak, this is definitely a nice cheaper option.you don't get Ganga.but you get a rural-urban fusion experience.
The owners being bengali adds some typical elements to attract the local inhabitants.like classical ambient music throughout the property adds a nice vibe.
Lastly the breakfast. Has minimum items but the most necessary and each of them equally enjoyable.i have had the luxurious spread in the 5 stars.but almost each time we end up enjoying only 4-5 dishes.they manage to ace that.
So overall, i would rate it 3.5.but to give this place an extra push I am giving a 5.a must try!

It looks beautiful.good for shooting.but they r not hygienic any more. Too much flys r around everywhere even in room bathroom balcony.

Nice place, this resort is made with rural Bengal theme. So if you want a clam and quiet place out of urban noise and pollution definitely you should come here to hangout.
It is in an interior location inside village and there will be no public communication. You should come with your own vehicle.

PROS

Beautiful. You can keep walking and at first the place seems to not end. Quiet and stranded but safe.

Don't worry about transport cuz they'll arrange for transport on request to take you to the main road.

Couple-friendly. (Carry soft or hard copy of IDs for every occupant).

Courteous, hard working staff.

2 swimming pools (1 for adults and 1 exclusively kiddie depth).

Game room (Table tennis, carrom, and pool).

CONS

Beds are too soft to give any support at all. Hence, not ideal for people with chronic pain, arthritis, spine issues etc.

The rooms are so designed that they're open to all kinds of insects and geckos so it's not ideal for people with phobias.

The food is very average. But it costs less a well. The quality and quantity are good but the preparation is very average. Although that wasn't a problem for me personally.

VERDICT

Worth visiting. Just carry your own insect repellent and pain relief spray if you have above-mentioned phobias or health conditions.

Let's hope the food gets better when they work at full staff capacity.

You'll like the place.

The ambience and serenity can please one's soul; however the maintenance of the rooms is limited to only the ones at the front beside the pool. The log huts were very untidy when we checked in.there were spiders and dirt all over the floor with food wrappers and spilled coffee marks on blankets. Also an additional charge of 10% on food items for room service seemed too much. One need to pay Rs. 500 per hour for every hour delay from the check-out timing even if there is an emergency.say heavy downpour or bad weather. Overall it was a bitter-sweet experience and had better staycation in similar Eco resorts.

Good Food! Lacks Maintenance and few of the staff behaviour was unprofessional specially the receptionist. Rooms were infected with house flies and few of the basic amenities were missing.

Good and homely services. Testy food. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Beautiful rooms. Specially bathroome and toilete area makes it more beautiful.

It was spacious nice and comfy.

Decent resort on the outskirts. Here is my input.

The good:
1. Nice breakaway place from the city
2. Decent meals
3. Pools are constantly cleaned and maintained.
4. The room is cool even on hot days.
5. Generally the area is also cooler from the rest of the city.
6. The room provides amenities like ac, tv, fan etc. Never used any of them. So not sure of their qualities.

The bad
1. The rooms are unfortunately very untidy. There's dust everywhere. Nobody cleans behind the beds.
2. The rooms are so dimly lit. Even with all the lights on, we were struggling to see anything.
3. If you have a fear of insects and crawlies and other stuff, then prepare to see a lot of those. Our roof had a mouse running around. We kept thinking that it would fall on us. So we barely slept.
4. I get that the TV is meant for the local crowd. But I am sure that you get many visitors from outside as well. In the 200 or so channels, there wasn't even a single English channel.
5. Room service is not the best. I called the reception for some water and I never heard back from them.
6. An additional note to reception folks. A smile goes a long way. When we're visiting your establishment, we're coming for a break, to be pampered, to have fun. You guys looked so annoyed, that we just wanted to go to our rooms.

Won't recommend at all!
All staying arrangements are overpriced (Loghuts, Mudhouses, etc.)
Loghuts don't have intercom facility for room service and most rooms have defunct or faulty ACs
Overall looks good from outside, but lacks basic amenities and maintenance
Staff including higher management was non-cooperative and adamant
Only the food was good!

1. They never pic your call.
2. It's a extended wedding hall nothing else.
3. Management is very poor and irresponsible.
4. Floor and stairs are broken and dangerous to walk on.
5. Not value for money, won't recommend.

The campus is good. That's the only good thing about this place.
Extremely impolite and uncooperative staff members. Starting from reception desk, staff, porters and kitchen staff.
Had booked 12 rooms and a banquet and expected basic cooperation like cleanliness of rooms, electric kettle to be in working condition, no exhaust in washrooms, unclean linen, rooms to have water, soap, etc. Neither did they have any of these nor did they provide on asking. There are phone numbers for reception, but no phones in rooms. All rooms are dimly lit. Swimming pool was totally dirty. Some guy started cleaning sloppily and left midway. On asking to clean properly started arguing and left. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 9.45 am, at 9.20 am there was no coffee or tea. And on asking they said the flask was over and it's on 'available till stock lasts' basis, Siddhartha, the waiter.

Special note on the so called Manager of the place Mr Biplab and his comrades Ujjwal and Payal. O dude! Where do i start.
Not only was he impolite and disorganised, but he made sure that the event was full of hiccups. We had clearly stated about the places to be used during the event. Midway he started questioning and stopping us from moving to certain places and charged extra. Next he had promised to fit some extra CFL bulbs in dim lit rooms. Never done. Started charging for extra cups or broken electric kettle, which were not there in the first place. Charged for soiled linen which were already provided dirty. We had earlier informed about extra mattress requirements and they had complied, when we asked to place them in the rooms at around 6 pm. They said all staff had left and not possible. Somehow after almost begging him, he agreed and provided half inch thick mattress, which were almost like sofa covers. All this in the month of November, with pretty low temperatures. We had to scream and scold our minds off to get back the security deposit. It was a devastating experience and i can say 90% because of this one person Mr. Biplab.

I will suggest multiple times to never visit this place. It is overpriced for value and the bigger reason is that you will never be at peace during your stay.

My earnest request to management to focus on staff training and hiring able people to do the job. It's not enough to flatter public by putting celebrities pics who have visited your resort in the reception lobby.

This Place was Awesome. Little bit costly. Best for 1Day Staying or Shooting. The staffs r so polite and very helpful.
For Lunch and dinner Don't go for Thalli, its too much expensive. Go for à la carte.
The rooms are good specially bathroom. Everything available in the room.

Nice place to spend some quality time with your family. Stuffs are also nice & polite. Food quality is decent.

Disgusting place.the entire management is a fraud. They have rats running in the room, no hot water supply, the staff is egoistic and when you ask them to compensate for a lousy service they ask you to checkout. Think ten times before deciding to spend your holiday here

Vedam eco resort is wonderful weekend getaway from kolkata and near by places. Resort is well connected from rail as well as road.
We booked for mud house and rooms were well maintained had most of amenities which are required for luxury stay in natural way. Also interior was nicely done with elements of wood added.
Staff were well mannered and helpful. Especially the house keeping staffs. They were always available for help and need. I did interact with few of them, soumen Mallick and Ganga bagh both were always happy to help.
Food was ok ok. I mean food can be done better. Although we order thalis in lunch there were good. But evening snacks, and dinner was ok ok compared to prices. This is something which they can better. Buffet Breakfast options were limited and quality was not good.
We really had a good time and look forward to visit again with bigger group. (Having bigger group in pool helps).

The place is quite good especially for photoshoots.but it is too much in the outskirts.also would request the resort to please put more lights in the rooms. Giving it the village vibe does not necessarily mean that one can't see anything inside the room.

Rooms are not worth for paying #Room housekeeping is not good# front office staffs are not visitor friendly
Food is good, pool side ambiance is good, overall need some basic training to maintain and manage such property

The place being a 3 star resort serves stale food in the 1st place and charging quite a hefty amount.
Now coming to the etiquette they don't have professional people to handle customers.
We booked 2 rooms and we informed the hotel guys that we will be checking out late and we agreed to pay half day charge for that.
Now we checked out around 2.45 pm in the afternoon and they again charged us for another hour on top of the half day tariff as we checked out at 2: 40 instead of 2. During all this the front desk guys did not inform us that they will charging us extra if missed the deadline of 2. All of a sudden i was asked to pay additional fees during final checkout.
Not a courteous place at all.
Will recommend people to think twice before booking this place.

Supplies expired conditioner, body moisturizer dated 6/20.we visited there 10/21.so before checking in check all these things. They r quite unprofessional. Rather don't go there
