Very nice rooms and staff behaviour, I feel good to stay here. Rooms views are very attractive and foods are very delicious. I would like to stay here again for next visit.
If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel and good service oriented, then you can land your search here. I liked the services they offered for the price is exceptional. Nice place to be a visitor.
With my heart.i have pleasant stay here.stayed here with friends for 5days.having good food, finest place to stay with family.it having beautiful view.
This time had few service issues, specially at mynt as well as valet, it was not expected as been there and stayed there many times and had the best experience before
The worst service I have seen. No wonder that this remains a local hotel in Kolkata and not an international brand. The staffs are ill-mannered. They hire goons who will stand at the reception and support the staff and threaten guests with physical assault.
I just came from an early morning flight from Mumbai and I reached hotel by 10am. They asked me to sit in lobby for 2 hours because the check-in is at 12 pm, although they have vacant rooms. Not recommended at all as they do not offer early check-in.
Excellent place with good hospitality. Spacious rooms with ample amenities and city facing. Complementry Breakfast buffet spread was also quite good with nice options. Well maintained with excellent infrastructure
We stayed 2 Times in December 2021 at Vivanta, Kolkata Near Ruby, awesome hotel, good service, well behaved staffs & I really impressed by Chef Nilanjan for his dynamite behaviour. Excellent
Very Poor Experience. We booked the hotel for marriage function. When requested for non-smoking rooms, they gave us room smelling with smoke like hell. Rooms were to be allotted by 2pm but they were late. There was no hot water in Rooms. And on request bucket hot water was provided after 2 long hours. When complaint at reception, they simply apologised shamelessly and when we insisted the manager agreed to drop us a apology email. I saw other guests were also complaining. Try to avoid booking this hotel.
One of the best hotel in Kolkata. Rooms are very good. Banquet halls are also available for all kinds of functions. Staff are very cooperative. Decent way of representation of each and every items. Overall outstanding?
A good place to stay though I can’t say it to be the best the City of joy has ever seen. The buffet breakfast is so so but the larger number of items may save your day. The rooms are not very large (ambience is great and so as the decor of the room). But the suite rooms are great. Restaurant Mynt can be seen as a bit more expensive one but the taste of the dishes are really great. Overall, it’s a good choice to stay but it can be better. Some staffs are cooperative and some are not but all of them are really well behaved and friendly.
Top class service. Very clean and a great hotel to stay. Comfortable bed, decent size room, class amenities and super helpful people. Enjoyed our stay for 6 nights and highly recommended. Location too being just on EM Bypass, communication to any part of Kolkata was good.
Asusual Taj group of Hotels are always Good. Here the Stay comfort is very Good, liked the in Room Sining as well as the Break fast. They have so many staffs to help guests, great.
Lot of options on the menu. Food was well cooked and tasty though service was a bit slow for the a la carte menu. However an attentive and cordial staff makes it worthwhile to dine there
When the accommodations are just as important as the destination, a 5-star stay promises that extra "wow" factor the second you step into the lobby. Along with the kind of service fit for royalty, you can get pampered at on-site spas, enjoy gourmet restaurants, and sleep in top-of-the-line beds you'll never want to climb out of.
Good Experience. The Hotel is at EM Bypass, near Ruby General Hospital. Early morning view is very awesome, this view give s you a fresh and energetic starts.
Ambiguous is good. But support staff from reception does not upto mark, they do not respond in appropriate manner and does not understand what customer needs. Another point, food is worst than worst. If you are foodie, then you will be disappointed for sure. If you are fine with look and feel, then I would recommend to go for this. However, it depends on customer choices. Hope this helps other's.
I held the Taj group in very high regards based on my earlier experiences. However Vivanta surprised me. There is nothing to complain, but somehow it falls short of what one expects from the Taj group. Particularly in the food segment.
Great hospitality, rooms also neat and tidy. Breakfast spread is also decent just in room dining on alacarte was not not upto the mark. Also as per price room size is not that big.
They should be ashamed of calling themselves a Taj property. Air conditioning doesn't work so much so that they actually offered to put a pedestal fan in our room after the housekeeping staff themselves admitted that the AC isn't working. And why could they not offer us an alternate room? Apparently, the poor air conditioning is there in every room! Avg food, over expensive.
Restaurant services is very poor even you never get good reply from restaurant staff if you want to stay in this covid time I recommend have food from outside because hotel gives you only one reply sir we apologise due to covid guidelines we don't serve food after 8 pm and in breakfast time they apologise we have less staff yes if you for holiday and can wait one hour for breakfast and dinner then this will be best property
Excellent, across all platforms! Right from the reception to room service to the dining @ Mynt, everything was JUST perfect and we were made to feel @ home the moment we stepped in and completed the checking in formalities. All staff were courteous without being intrusive. The food (other than breakfast @ Mynt, we had egg devil dal tadka lehsuni, fish fry, Peruvian chicken with mango relish, BLT sandwich and chicken club sandwich as in room dining) was of best quality and tasty. We are already planning our next stay there and that too very soon!
The place offers value for money stay, but unfortunately my stay was ruined once after noise made by some repair work. & Another time the Incharge who should only allocate adjoining rooms to connected people allocated one such room to me from where constant noise could not let me sleep all night. Even after multiple complaints to the reception nothing happened.
I hope staff acts swiftly on such complaints in future.
Had an excellent staycation. Food is good, cleanliness is excellent. Author-signed books collection is mind-blowing. Price of food is towards higher side.
Ambience was nice but I had one complain. I had ordered for Pizza but when the delivery came the person denied that there was no order for. I have had better food n services in multiple other restaurants. If you are charging for extravaganza then do show that in your hospitality. It was my birthday today and was expecting it to be special, I went with my hubby to have some quality time. I wont say I had the best of the above mentioned experience.
Was looking for a wedding venue but did not get proper response from the team.even my family members went their to check on the venue but Ashmita did not attend them properly and was very rude and she didn’t had time to show them the banquets too.also she mentioned that banquet will only get ready by oct and we have to wait till that time and we have our marriage planned on 16th Nov.and the same was not confirmed over the mail.very rude behaviour and false thing were informed to us.not at all a good experience.
Went there for a mid-week staycation during my parent's marriage anniversary and it was the best experience we had post the pandemic. VIVANTA went above and beyond by arranging for a complimentary cake and chocolates and decorated the room for the occasion. The service was top notch and I'd especially like to thank Miss Reema for her hospitality and taking good care of us, thereby making our stay pleasant and memorable.
Amazingly decorated the room with balloons and complementary cake and decorated swan shaped towels for my parents anniversary celebration. Wonderful behaviour of the staff all throughout our staycation of 1 night 2 days. Gave us complementary chocolates and fruits (mangoes bananas and Apple) for the first day after lunch. Even though the rooftop pool was off limits due to covid, the staff allowed us to lazily relax in the lounge chairs all evening enjoying the breathtaking 180° panoramic skyline view of the city. The gym was well equipped and sanitized. The resturant experience was exceptional - all 3 meals were delightful.
It's a good hotel, The rooftop specially is really nice. The main attraction is the swimming pool there Proper sanitisation is there. Social distancing is followed
I had quiet a long stay at viventa EM kolkota from 27th March to 6th April due to my official work. Overall I had a pleasant stay at hotel but I was particularly very happy with the housekeeping staff (specially pragya) whose services made my long stay super comfortable and make me feel like home. I personally believe if the housekeeping staff of any hotel is efficient and smart then overall experience becomes super pleasurable.
Very comfortable stay. Definitely a Taj brand is always superior when it comes to comfort and service. Big rooms and spacious washrooms. The cooling need to be improved and also during present times, it is advised to include a bottle of sanitizer & masks in every room. Guest luggages need to be sanitized at entry to ensure safety precautions.
If you are looking for a quick staycation, this definitely will add to your list.
Toured this amazing spot just a few days ago. The restaurant was really nice. The place is located very near to RUBY. Now coming to the ambiance the interior was nice and cozy. Their food trail has a wide variety. The starters were good in taste and especially their fish items. Now coming to the buffet menu. The biriyani, mutton, chicken, seafood, aloo dum, and others. Personally, the mutton and the seafood were good and yummy and excellent in taste. Now coming to the deserts section it was not that bad but some of the basic dessert items like Gulab Jamun, Ice Cream, and many others were missing. The must-try ones of this place are the mutton, masala cola, and fish. A must visit the place to enjoy yourself with your family and friends during weekends.
Hotel is a bit outside the main city area, next to an elevated metro construction area. One of the best restaurants in the area, including the morning breakfast for the guests. The outside view is nothing to write home about.
Check-in fast and smooth, room size decent and all appliances in working order. Friendly service; staff here will go out of their way to help you - one of the main reasons this place deserves five stars.
I m stying here in 215. It’s my pleasure to stay first time in Gateway hotel Kolkata. Special of all staffs are well behaved and also always warm Reciption. I found a lady in restaurant in breakfast time I think she’s Name Priyanka, she is well trend. TATA is India’s pride she is Real gem
The Gateway Hotel - An Awesome Experience My stay at The Gateway Hotel has been an awesome & a premium experience. I attended a 6 day workshop at your hotel sponsored by our company. Kudos to the entire team for managing this hotel in a customer friendly manner across all departments. Starting from welcoming the guests, reception, elevators, room facilities, rooftop swimming pool, gym & seminar hall, breakfast, lunch & dinner options, 24*7 helpline, etc. The warm & friendly nature of each and every one of the attendants is an added asset of your hotel. In short you guys tick all the right check boxes applicable for this hotel.
I went there for a rooftop party beside the pool. The pool is now closed for renovation but the Ruby view from tge rooftop is great and would look grander when Metro starts.
All and all the experience was very good, we had alot of fun celebrating my sister''s birthday, the prices are a bit on the higher side but the food taste was good.
The Gate way Hotel. One of the best hotel with all advanced facilities. Mostly suitable for business conference, meeting, party and all same line activities. The location is also an advantage of it.
As good as it can be for a 5 star grade business hotel. The valet was prompt. The security is good, all equipped with scanners et all. The reception was quick and hearty. We went to the bar where the waiters connected at personal level and served carefully in time. The one chicken dish we had was good. We proceeded to the dinner buffet thereafter. Plenty of dishes including a Bengali cuisine combine were on offer. The continental dishes tasted better to the others. Very few dishes with fish or prawns. Some of the sweet dishes, again Indian as well as baked, were outstanding. The best surprise was on the service part. The servers gave us a plate of fried fish and we said we never ordered. They mentioned that it was on the house because they heard us expecting more dishes with fish. We felt why the 5 star hotels are superior to others.
It was a nice experience visiting there. It was a Nabami (the ninth day of Durga Puja) as it is already known how awesome Durga Puja is been celebrated here in Kolkata and after having a tiring four days pandal hopping our feet were paining and we were feeling tiresome. So my friends were planned to visit this place for some chitchat session, and I joined them. We went to the Swirl my friends ordered the beer they had a one on one offer on hard drinks and I had some brownie and mutton kosha puff. The place was quite deserted I don't if it's because of the pandal hopping thing going on.
Great food and hospitality at The Gateway Hotel, I was celebrating birthday of my fiancé that day, I called them previously and informed them to present a cake as surprise, On that day thay did everything exceptionally well and made us very happy, each bite of the food was very good and cake as well. Thank you all staffs from all day dining.
Very nice collection of oriental and indian food. The staff is very well maintained. Also all the dishes are just awesome. We have taken buffet lunch and it was worth the price tag. Buffet menu non veg: - Starters- Welcome drink Dahi Phucka Beguni Alur chop Fish fry Lote mach r chop Mixed chowmien Pasta Main dish: - 3 types of rice 3 types of dal Fish preparation: - 2 types Chicken preparation: - roast and gravy and biriyani Mutton: - biriyani Special item: - Ilish rosogolla Chicken tikka in phucka cup Breads Desert: - so many o even forgot the names. All are best. Try the chocolate cake it's out of this world Ice cream.
A hotel with prominent marks of lack of mentainance in every aspect. Unsmart staff. Extreemly bad quality of food. Discovered rotten sweetmeats, stale nonveg items. Dirty doors and table tops. A tall and big size building only. Came to know that it was about to be closed or sold out. Rooms available at cheaper rates compared to other similar hotels.
I missed the bath tub else I would have given the 5 stars this place deserves. The restaurant serves very good food and we appreciate the personalized touch from the chef. He was really friendly and even spoke our language. Couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely recommend the Gateway hotel for a comfortable and memorable stay.
