Wah Janaab @ Mirza Ghalib Street serves finger licking, mouthwateting bestest kebabs ever, tried their mixed chicken kebab platter, beef kebab platter where they give all the different styles of kebab on a platter which gives you a chance to pick your most favourite, also tried their beef Rogan Josh that was delish too, true to its name

The food is good, the price is fine, the service is average but the atmosphere is not so good. There is a big dustbin outside of the hotel and the inside is not so tidy.

Good food and the price is the best. Unbelievable price to taste. Beef dishes are really good i dare say same of not better than zamzam. Biryani is good and is made using spices not adding just fragrances. Ribs is a special dish you have to request, pls try that. Nihari and naan is love.

The address of Wah Janaab which I visited is 54, Mirza Ghalib Street. The place is calm and quiet and food deserves.

According to many food bloggers, Wah Janab serves one of the best Beef items in Kolkata. Hence this place was on my wish list for long and I had big expectations from them. We took random dishes from their menu.

Creamy, smoky and flavourful. I've never tried such soft beef in my life. Laccha paratha and this should be heavenly good. It definitely mates my expectations unfortunately that ended here.

I was thinking of thick rich black smoky gravy for bhuna but it came just opposite. Sweet and sour tomato-based gravy with 4 small pieces, didn't impress me much.

Unlike the kebabs beef was undercooked, stiff and very chewy. Biryani rice was ordinary, not very spicy and resembled Kolkata style biryani. Potato was soft and well cooked. But I would prefer Zam Zam any day.

Conclusion

I tried variety of beef dishes that these people are famous for but except the kebabs nothing was worth the hype. Pricing is cheap, ambiance is so so, service is okay so you can give them a try but food quality will be on trial-and-error bases.

Definitely one of the best eateries for beef in Kolkata. We tried the assorted beef platter, beef biriyani, beef khara masala, and butter naan. All were too good! Haleem was sold out so will go to try it again!

Last day me nd my fnd went there. One of the best restaurant in kolkata. Ambience was awesome, crowd were great. Food was really yummy nd tasty

Food quality is good. Pricing a bit high, but reasonable considering the location. Ambience and seating arrangement can be improved. Sometimes waiting time for food getting ready is a bit too much. Rated 5 because of their consistently good food quality.

Good place for beef lover. Food are tasty and reasonable. Biriyani is good in taste with good portion. Paratha and kabab is also delicious. Have 2 stored sitting arrengments. Service could be better.

A great place to eat, have fun and great prices. One of my favourite places to goto with office buds for lunch.

Simply love the food I will definitely recommend this place to all the mughlai food lovers! Its a must visit!

Kabab platters are just too good to be true. Just like home. Best possible quality of meat and very well roasted.

Food quality and taste was good. I ate here tandoori they cooked well. Price was also reasonable.

I am muslim but i don't eat beef yes that restaurant is good and i ate beef biryani.



Overall it's a good restaurant. The Mughlai food is great. The issue is their consistently daggles a lot. Somedays are great and somedays not so great. Another issue is the seating area is very small and there is no management to attend to the people waiting. Someone times you have been waiting longer and a regular customer is seated before you even if he came after you.

Lovely place for kebab & biriyani.soft beef kebabs, soft beef pieces in biriyani. Chicken dishes are also good.

If you are hungry it's not the right place cause serving food take lot of time.
You should have ample time for the serving. Chanp is excellent

Pathetic service by the waiter, he has an attitude as if he owns the world. Never seen such pathetic customer service in any restaurant in this world, seems like they will beat customers

You can't just compare their food with any restaurant in Kolkata. Starting from the Kababs to their Gravry n Nihari.it's next level. And when is comes to Biryani l, it is as good as having a Muslim Shadi Biryani. The demerit of this place is that they don't have a very good sitting arrangement. But trust me their food Quality n Quantity covers it all. You really feel like saying "Wah Janaab"

Tried some Kadai Chicken. Worst ever experience. The food quality is disgraceful. The dish was kept in the fridge may be for the ages. Though the taste was usual, the food is not at all fresh. Better avoid the restaurant or eat at your own risk.

One of the best beef kebab places in south kolkata. The place is very neat and clean. AC restaurant. Washroom is also clean. Very versatile beef menu. Beef kakori kebab, reshmi kebab, boti kebab, nihari, Zafrani biryani, Pasinda, chap are really one of the best and deliciouns and also very cheap. You can eat two types of kebabs under 200 only! The place is just before 7 point park circus on the left side. Parking should be done separately just behind the restaurant there is room for parking. Staffs are nice and polite.

Recently visited the restaurant & enjoyed nice recipes, specially beef recipes like Kebab & others.

Food is just fabulous! The burra kebab was good but the kebab platter was simply awesome! Kebabs were really very tasty, soft and well made! The khara masala gravy was just out of the world, and was a perfect combination with the roti. The zaffrani biryani was very delicious as well! I hope they will keep up the quality!

Very poor service, so few people that you sit at the table, no one comes to ask you
