Waterside cafe is very good, it's Hyatt main attraction. It's a premium cafe which is situated at the best place in the city. Next is the buffet menu of breakfast and dinner. A wide variety of food with variation in taste. Coffee is the main energetic drink one can try, you must fall in love over coffee. The service is very good. Priya and Abhishek, both are very caring and attentive. I am a regular customer. Lastly, a friendly place for stay and hangout.
Its a very beautiful cafe with an amazing view of outside garden area.we went on Christmas dinner and they only had special brunch that day maybe that's the reason it wasn't decorated anyway that wasn't a big deal.we had buffet for 2300/-per person inclusive all taxes and the hospitality was okayish it could be much better. They didn't had huge options in buffet but it wasn't bad for this price. Must try are: Pasta salad Broccoli fry Fruit salad Dal makhani Desserts (all options were amazing) I enjoyed it alot and it was a great eve. You’re selling stale biriyani that’s what my experience is please know that there are people who travel international and Kolkata Hyatt is a peanut of a place for them try and improve yourself else you will be troubles with cases from the consumer forum soon enough.
Horrible food horrible service They serve steamed rice and mutton full of bones in the name of biryani. The stewards are clueless about the items in the menu. Terribly slow and pathetic service. Have mailed the issue as well And last but not the least they try and swipe club prana cards as a payment options so they have i guess super trained staff.
We had the lunch buffet there. Cost us ₹4100 for 2 pax. There were wide options and the food quality was really good. The view from the cafe is also very nice to be rejoiced. But there were some issues in service for which I deducted one star. We ordered a grilled chicken which never came to our table. But paneer tawa came which we never ordered. So I think that is something they need to focus on.
The ambience is nice. The service is okay and the staff is polite. The food tastes delicious and the quality is good. The ala carte menu has a wide range of options available. Buffet is also available but has particular timings. The desserts are great.
Was very pleased with the spread available compared to rest of the 5 stars in Kolkata.just that prawns were missing.would have been a hit if prawns were there.
The buffet is good but the seating area is small. The spread is limited but the quality and taste of the preparations is good. The live counters suck on a busy day. Rest is fine.
As per five star hotel. I will rate the taste of foods just average because many of food items just tasted like below good.like the chicken butter masala, saag, aalu potol sabzi, pizza (pizza & saag was the worst) and many tasted heavenly like the white soup, salads, desserts, biryani, dal makhni.
Ofcourse the price is overpriced but considering it's a 5-Star hotel, so you can't really complaint. The food is okay, a lot of varieties are available, live counters are also there, desserts are a must try. Not value for money but you can go there once for a premium experience
We went to this place for lunch buffet and the experience was disheartening. They never told us the buffet timings and we couldnt try most of the menu items as they closed everything. Also the staffs were pathetic, they keep clearing plate full of food if we leave table for couple of mins to pick something. They did it so many times without even asking! How weird is that. The restro charged 2000+ (including taxes) for the lunch buffet for each person and except icecream counter we couldnt taste most of the food as they dont serve live orders on time and a total mess, they never told us closure time which was again a mess for us as we had to hurry so much. At the end they served us few of main course items which were extremely salty (i think they just heated left over food), again not the ones we ordered, they said they did that on a goodwill but excuse me what sort of goodwill for such mismanaged messed up place. Its completely a waste of money.
Food taste is worse. 1st time we were in Hyatt kolkata and the experience was terrible.
Every item was having sweet which we were not expecting.atleast on Indian Sabjiis.are they only for Bangla fellows. (not take it in a wrong way) but we need spicy food which was not available at all.
For that u have to order separately. Buffet was totally waste of money.
Although staff was cooperative. Need lots of improvement in food taste.
By just putting No.of items you can not give satisfaction to the tongue. We are definitely not gonna come in waterside cafe for sure.
For ambience, I would give 3-4, but the food was pathetic. The taste was so bland for every dish. It's much better to invest money in small scale restaurant rather than these big giants. Pocket pinch 4.5k approx for 2.
The basic Food items, variety & quality was very poor. Food items were old, staling and worst ever possible. Buffet, serving was worst in total. Only the poolside ambience was good.
Lovely place to take your family out for lunch. Buffet lunch is best; variety of options at a decent rate. The staffs are really cordial and explains things patiently. Highly recommend the place.
I have a regular at this place for the last four years, but in the last two months, with the new Chef Amandeep, there has been a delicious transformation. The buffet fare, the layout, the responsiveness of staff has all got a super upgrade. I simply fell in love with the continental layout and, of course, the mind blowing desserts.
It's a narrow enter space, as most of visitors were drunk. Not safe for women at night time. Honestly after observing some unpleasant seen, we were bound to leave this place within 15 minutes after entering this place.
Been there with high expectations also after reading the reviews. Looks and feels amazing, good for photos and thats it! Food is limited (way way limited options) And quality of food is also far from anything expected. Not even near to any good restaurants let alone five star hotel
Please call the place even if you have dineout reservations, else the confirmation is not valid. When we visited during dinner time it was crowded and not every item was available or warm. Ambience is okayish if you consider its competitors. If you are ordering from the kitchen, be specific about all items you want in the dish else they might miss out on some stuff.
The ambience was nice.food was also good but I felt like there was not much variety coz there was just indian food mostly but if you are looking for regional delicacies you should try the place once.food tasted really good.
Had a birthday dinner on 12.02 2022. Had a horrible experience. The staff were not at all professional, a staff.name Trilok behaved most unprofessional. Firstly me with my family had to wait for the table and then we had to loiter around and no one was there to guide us.and then we got the table 18 after a long time.
To start of with, the starter was horrible, the dry chiken kebab was not fresh and was hard.but later the manager provided fresh chicken kebab. The overall food quality was not at all good, no one was there to guide through and the lost disgusting thing when my wife asked for vice cream for the counter it was served in a small sause bowl instead of ice-cream bowl, when asked the reason, it was told that there is no enough corkerry to serve as all has been given for washing.
It's very atrocious that a brand like Hyatt is such unprofessional and lacks poor management.
Went to Hyatt Waterside Cafe on 1st week of Jan. Was disappointed with what was on offer. The starters consisted of chilli paneer, baked gobi with mustard, chicken tikka and salmon fish starter. Among these only the chicken starter was good. The salmon had a sour taste to it, the gobi was also very average. Main course had indian and continental dishes. Again for continental nonveg options were beef and salmon.
Waterside Cafe is one of the most famous restaurant in town. I like this restaurant. Super cool, Delicious, seriously, this place is amazing, price were very high but food taste yummy in my tummy.vegetarian food, non vegetarian food, fast food etc. The food is tasty band cheap, the servants are also very friendly or co operative, Nice facility or good service. Spent time with your family nd friends or partner. Every time I visit this place, I get a 5 star experience. Very great place, nd great ambiance nd decorations are composed or cleanliness is well maintained. For dinner or lunch it is a good place. Must go everyone at least once.
Waterside Cafe is one of the famous restaurant in Hyatt Regency Hotel. Al a carte menu having wide range as well as buffet menu. Live continental counter is one of the attraction. You can enjoy your lunch or dinner with special one or with family and friends. Prior reservation is mandatory if you have any coupon to redeem. Individual staff is alloted to each table.
Aniul Staff Is a very Good Behavior And good staff. Waterside Cafe is To good. All Buffet menu And Desert Sections is very good. Thank you so much with your Co - Oparation All Staff Specialy Aniul.
What a lovely place to host a kids birthday party. Food was awesome (thanks to chef Sanjay), staff was cordial and cooperative. The place was a big hit with all the guests. The water body alongside the restaurant was amazing.the kids had a great time playing there.
Food isn't great for any particular cuisine but an overall global menu is there.deserts are good.but if you a foodie you will not get that wow factor when you want to be amazed at such a posh place.
Today we visited waterside Cafe, Hyatt Regency Kolkata. Had an amazing experience.we opted for the special Sunday Branch menu. Today it was special authentic keralian menu cooked by the guest chef from kochi Mr Senthil Kumar. The muttan biryani and the paratha was mouthwatering. The food was so good and the set menu so perfect. I specially like to thank Sous chef Vishram Singh Negi for showing the courtesy to ask for the feedback personally. The ambience is very soothing same as the desserts and other sweet tooth. This is one of the most visit place in town.
The view from this place is awesome. But the service is equally bad. We had ordered alá carte food items since was buffet was closing soon. First of all, the service was so late that we got fed up and contemplated leaving the place. Even the food arrived in batches, so all of us could not start together. Next the quality of food is not at par with the status of the hotel. I never had a well done steak that's hard as a rock and the chicken we ordered tasted the same as roadside stalls offering chicken curry with oodles of oil. The table presenter was not clear with his words and could not describe the dishes properly. He was even forgetting the orders we have placed and we had to remind him multiple times. And waiting for the bill was the longest wait in my life. We had finished our food and the bill arrived almost half an hour later. Still it had some unordered items and some items were missing. I am completely flabbergasted by the service offered by this café.
But at last, I would like to end this review with the sweet taste of the blueberry cheesecake. It was the only thing worth having out there and it tasted surreal!
I went there few days back and did not like the limited food item in the Buffett spread. Also the quality of the food was not as good as I had anticipated. It is hard to believe such a nice restaurant and they have limited options in their buffet spread that too on 31st December when every place has gala lunch & Dinner. I was expecting much more than this. Having limited options is one thing and serving food which is not warm is another thing. I would say I was quite disappointed.
The breakfast buffet at the waterside is a tsunami of diversity, from south indian idlis and dosas to bacon and pancakes! I personally love their soft idlis and mini uttapams. The dinner as well, offers freshly baked pizzas and freshly prepared pasta with your choice of toppings. The Indian items on the menu however are on the lower side. Also there is no bifurcation of vegetarian and non vegetarian food, which is not a great experience if you’re a vegetarian. Overall, I feel the food lacks heart. It lacks good flavour, inspite of the variety. The staff however is very warm.
Place is good but even for a place like Hyatt, they offer Basa fish. 3 types of fish preparation was there, but it was tasteless. Asked for 1 plate of complementary Bhetki Fry, but was denied by a lady Assistant Manager. My feeling was she was little straight Forward. We had more than 9k of food, but nothing was entertained. Arnab was really a good guy. Food was more or less ok, but with less variety.
It's kind of average. Not as per the standard. Pizza took 30mins, paneer which we ordered never came and raita came after biryani was over. Poor service and less variety. Expects more as now we have many other options available.
