Yankee Resort Lava

Good view from 2nd floor rooms. From windows you can see pine forest along with a partial kanchanjunga view. Hygiene could have been better. Food takes too much time to serve. Parking is a problem here as it is inside the market and it's one way.

I went there in 2019 with my wife and little kid.the experience was pretty bad. All of us including my kid had severe stomach pain & vomitting from the food that was served. Don't know whether they have improved but I won't recommend a stay here.

We had an excellent stay at Yankee Resort Lava specially at khambu cottage. The facilities beat.any star hotel. The food was totally homely and care takers are very good and humble. Also the owner Ms Migma was very helpful to us. If our health permit we shall definitely visit once again.

The Resort was just awesome. The Food quality is too yummy. The manager is too good and polite, humble nature. He also guided a lot to us. Room was excelent. Must booked this resort of you visit Lava.

REACH EARLY AS THE TOWN CLOSES BY 7 PM.

I went for solo and they made it more comfortable, going above and beyond in providing utmost care. Food is great, and Deepak da the cook cum caretaker is very helpful and approachable; so is Bickey the manager. I reached late and yet they provided a sumptuous meal; next day I had to checkout quite early to board the bus, and way before breakfast timing they provided tea/omelette, then accompanied me & flagged down the bus to allow me to board. Definitely staying there if I'm visiting Lava again. 5

The service was really great, hot food, impromptu cooking in order to keep the food warm and tasty.
The cottages were cozy, the owner and family were really good and really hospitable.
Shops are just next to the cottage.

It was a nice resort with very nice and humble owners. The owners really do everything to make you feel comfortable. The cottages are very nice however needs heater in the room. They provided with electric blankets but they are not that comfortable. Otherwise a really great experience.

First of all, a 5 star rated experience with this stay. A very good place to experience the beauty of hills at LAVA. Atmosphere and behaviour of the staff are very polite and caring. I and my wife spent a quality time at Malingo cottage. Enjoyed the food of this resort. Thanks for this experience @Yankee Resort.

The best thing about the resort is the friendly staff. They are friendly, smiling and obliging. The Bungalows are very cute and have some lovely views.
Sorry but that is where the positivity ends.
The property is sandwiched between buildings. Amenities are basic in the rooms. The bulbs and TV's in some room are not working. Room no 104 is damp and musty and has a mouldy smell. The prices on the menu is also pretty steep but the food is tasty. For the room rates there is no soap or toiletries in the bathroom nor any tea coffe facilities in the room, no hangars to hang clothes
Compared to the prices being charged for the rooms there is no value for money.

One of the best staying option in Lava. Cottages are Nice, and you can get some view of mount kanchenjunga.
Service is good.

They took booking of hotel rooms at the time of their renovation.we were literally choked due to that continuous smell of painting.there was no room service. Hospitality is very poor. Food is too costly.but quality is not so good.even food was not fresh.

Beautiful. But require little maintanence, after long lockdown still is the best place to stay. Wooden cottages and beautiful view.
